Valet parked the car and didn't have to worry about it all weekend. Nice pool/outdoor lounge area on the 6th floor. No continental breakfast, but there was an excellent NYC Bagel place just a block away

Had a great stay here. Super friendly staff and very conveniently located. The rooms are great, functional layout and the bed is SO comfy. Highly recommend

I have nothing but good thing to say about this hotel. Excellent service, location and facilities. The pool and surrounding areas were always clean. The rooms were cleaned daily by an excellent staff

Location is excellent and bed is comfortable. The swimming pool was a disappointment though - chlorine smell was too strong and stings the eyes.

The only things I would have liked to have seen would be an outlet near the desk area (only ones were near the bed) so I could more easily utilize the desk for working and a coffee maker, but honestly it worked out just fine

Definitely will go there again. Very nice place which is located in Downtown. You go out and can find everything whatever you want.

A perfect hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient place to stay without paying extra for fancy accommodations. If you just need a clean and comfy bed, a toilet, and a shower this is the way to go for sure

The location is convenient, close to the subway station, and the front desk service was pretty good. However, the safe in the room was broken and unusable

Our bathroom had a leak and it made the bathroom smell like pee. Couldn’t really use the bathroom trash can because it needed to catch the water. Let the staff know when we left, but didn’t say much about it

The bar and the lounge on the first floor was super cute and nice. Special mention to the receptionist - I forgot to ask his name, but African American dude. Amazing hospitality from the staff

The hotel was located near a mall and many luxury branded shops, going to places and back was easy with public transport if you get a Ventra card in advance

Our second stay here - not disappointed We thought that the $90 breakfast was a bit too high to pay for what we got for two people. We saw other plates delivered about 15 minutes after ours were more substantial

Bonus points for being connected to Nordstrom/ my husband always appreciates sitting at the Nordstrom bar while I shop! The cookies and good beverage credits for complimentary cocktails is a nice touch

The soundproofing in the room was quite good, especially for a US hotel. However, the window in this room type faced a building that was too close, so there wasn't much of a view

one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Chicago. Great restaurant and rooftop bar on the fifth floor. Location is within walking distance of most everything on Michigan Ave. Room was great , bathroom great, beds great

The bed (though very low) was comfortable enough, the room (though too bright at dawn because the curtains weren’t room-darkening) was quiet enough, and the breakfast bar was ample and tasty enough to nourish us through the day

I chose this hotel because of its walking proximity to a business-related destination. It is ideally situated in the beautiful Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. Other reviews have cited bait-and-switch hidden fees

Everything was really good, nice view and nice beverages provided foc at the lobby. Only they provided 2 bottle soof drinking water every 3 days, which means we got one time only. The chinese restaurant was really good

We picked a room overlooking Grant Park and Lake Michigan and it was a wonderful view. The floor to ceiling windows were as awesome as advertised. Very comfortable king size bed

The food was amazing, stayed an extra day due to personal reasons. The hotel offers $16 off on the restaurant downstairs, excellent food

While I was there, hit the gym too, definitely got everything you need to do a work out

We picked a city view and this did not disappoint! We were on the 10 floor looking out to the lake. The team of people from the door person , front desk team and restaurant were very helpful

Were Starbucks coffee from a high-end machine that made mornings that much better. they also offer fresh apples and oranges daily, which is a nice bonus if you’re on the go

You can tell attention is paid to every detail, and the environment feels both welcoming and stylish. One of our favorite touches was the in-room coffee at the 3rd floor

The room is nice and clean. The housekeeping is very good and worthy of praise. Minor disadvantages: The windows are not soundproof enough and the gym is average.

They both went above and beyond to make sure I had whatever I needed and the attentiveness for the staff at large was impeccable. Check-in was a breeze and from there the accommodations were top-tier

The location couldn’t be better—right across from The Bean. The hotel is gorgeous, old-style elegance with a beautiful, antique-like bar, a cozy fireplace, and fabulous wooden details throughout

The food and drinks were excellent. The service was outstanding and attentive, from the bellman to the janitorial staff. The rooms are spacious, with a very comfortable large king bed

Room was great the bar was a bit loud and they now have part of the lobby as restaurant which is kinda annoying but forgivable for how nice the hotel is

The stay was very friendly and helpful. Since my room was ready they even let me check in early! There are 2 restaurants in this hotel. We had drinks at the one near the lobby and we ate at the ROOF

This hotel was perfect! Located next to Riverwalk and basically everything in the downtown area. I had the King Spa River view room and it was amazing. The view was perfect and the tub was on point.

The rooms are clean, mattresses are okay. No drawers for any of your clothes. The room service is 24hrs and you can ask for waters, coffee, towels and extra blankets. Didn’t know that until today when I was checking out

The paint smell was a bit strong when I first entered the room. The room was large and spacious, but the cups were all disposable and there was no kettle or tea bags. The bedding was nice but a bit too soft.

Excellent day everything was picture. Perfect love their rooftop bar. Staff is very friendly. I would stay here again without hesitation. The price point was phenomenal.

We stayed at the Godfrey for our honey moon. The rooms were beautiful and the hotel was so clean. This hotel is about a mile from Michigan avenue and other hidden gems such as a wonderful steakhouse

Went for a business trip, has a very cool rooftop bar and a restaurant. Great rooms, great products in the bathroom as well. Good views depending on the side you get

Although getting water is a pain, the front desk only gives you 2 small bottles at a time

I stayed at the hotel for two nights and three days in late December 2025. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The heating system in my room was extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep

During my entire stay, there was no housekeeping service or towel replacement, which was very inconvenient. The building also feels quite old; even the elevator rattled whenever it moved

Surprisingly great affordable hotel in downtown near the Willis Tower. My room was nice with a good view of the street. Nice workout area, didn't try pool. Room was pretty spacious with good view of street

Whether is absolutely not enough that I could say to anybody who is planning on coming in from out of town or just get away for the weekend, this isn't the central part of downtown Chicago access to all our public transportation, such as the buses and the trains

I know someone has to be on the lower floors, but it seems that if you are going to pay more for a view they should make sure you are on a higher floor

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities that feel kind of luxurious. We especially loved the huge tub in our room

One gripe we had is that we paid quite a bit more for a lake view room and we were on the eighth floor, which did not really afford much of a view

This is a wonderful, clean hotel with friendly staff. We stayed 4 nights and this location is perfect for being a walking tourist and you can easily use the bus and train here as well

Only a few hundred meters from the river, close to Grant Park, many high-end shops, the Riverwalk, and too many grwst restaurants to ever visit in 10 trips! The rooms are spacious, clean & well-appointed

Staff were great but the water temp through the shower was hard to control. Even on cold it was really hot water coming out of the shower head. But otherwise the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Accommodations were comfortable overall with a couple slight disappointments. Certain aspects of the room had not been maintained (the vinyl flooring was in desperate need of repair and cleaning)

Chicago hotels don't usually offer complimentary breakfast so I really liked that. A short walk to the El and bus stops. The pool is small but the kids enjoyed swimming. Would definitely stay here again!

There is an absolutely great breakfast served each morning and it's always different. There are amenities like a workout room and an indoor pool

The only drawback is that there is something wrong with the bathroom design. The shower room only has a shower curtain and no waterproof barrier

The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation and close to the lake. You can walk to Macy's and other large shopping malls. There are also Chicago Bean and Qianxi Park to visit.
