The environment is fantastic! The decor is exactly what I wanted, and we even got an upgrade! We felt like we didn't have enough time there. The shopping area downstairs is especially convenient for shopaholics.

The room was large and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The view from the window was so-so. The lobby was rather small for a luxury hotel and felt a bit dated. I overslept and didn't have time to eat breakfast, haha.

My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago was exceptional. The room was not just nice, but genuinely lovely and remarkably spacious, with the added charm of an open fireplace and stunning corner views over upper Chicago. The beds were incredibly comfortable, promising a perfect night's sleep, and the well-appointed bathroom featured both an independent shower and a luxurious bath.
Beyond the room, the spa facilities were wonderful, offering a fantastic sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi – perfect for unwinding. To top it all off, the hotel's location is ideal, with easy access to great shops and the beautiful lakefront. A truly memorable and comfortable experience!

Just stayed there for a long weekend vacation trip. Most five star hotels have excellent accommodations, what set this one apart is the outstanding hospitality and customer service. Literally everyone, from door man, valet, front desk staff, housekeeping, restaurant, are courteous, genuinely caring and knowledgeable, they assured my stay was excellent and it definitely was. I’ve stayed at the other five star hotels in Chicago, and this one is definitely my favorite, they go above and beyond. Will stay here again and would recommend it to anyone considering a relaxing, luxurious stay in Chicago.

I had a fantastic stay at the Astoria Chicago, and I have to give a special shoutout to Holly at the front desk. From the moment I checked in, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — offering great local tips and making the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
It’s rare to find someone who truly enjoys what they do, and it shows with Holly. She’s a real asset to the hotel, and part of the reason I’d definitely come back. Thanks for the great service!

This property checks all of the boxes! Moiz at the front desk was spectacular at check in! I was given a beautifully appointed corner room with a balcony, fireplace, and wonderful view. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer Aesop toiletries. They have some of the best in room dining I’ve ever experienced! They are kind, timely, and pay attention to detail. The valet service is stellar! The minute you drive in they are available to help! I stay here often and cannot wait until next time! Thank you for taking wonderful care of me!

The room window has no view but it is very quiet, suitable for rest, good hygiene and service. The restaurant was not booked and there was no seat so I didn't experience it. The hotel is a good one-mile drive away

The hotel service is good. Because the suite has a fireplace, the front desk reminded and a professional came to open it. The room living space is comfortable and I will come again. The luxury area of Michigan Avenue is next to the hotel.

Pros: Generally a fantastic hotel and wonderful attentive staff. Clean, quiet rooms. Excellent location. Great spa.
Cons: Brass Tack consistently disappoints for dinner. Breakfast/brunch is always good, but dinner service is lacking. We’ve always had subpar bar service and dinner waitstaff that doesn’t seem to care and the menu is average for The Waldorf. Quite disappointing.
Locker room access and amenities are no longer included with a room. An extra $75/day per person. HUGE disappointment as this has always been a deciding factor over other hotel choices. Makes other properties more enticing.

The location is excellent, the small courtyard is very nice, the room is very comfortable, except there is no view. No one cleaned the room during the day on the second day, and an old lady came at about 5 o'clock. I was very tired after a day of shopping, so I had to make do with the dirty and messy room.
