The hotel was quite good. I booked a twin room so my daughter could also visit this city. New Orleans feels quite safe. There's a shopping center by the river, and the hotel is conveniently located near it.

Overall, it's a good hotel with great value for money. I recommend booking a river-view room with VIP lounge access. The buffet breakfast and dinner are decent.

The New Orleans Marriott meets expectations in terms of location and convenience, being ideally situated along Canal Street and within walking distance of Bourbon Street, which was a great advantage. The added convenience of having a Starbucks in the building was also a plus.

That said, I noticed some areas for improvement in comparison to my experience at the JW Marriott in Mexico City. While the service was generally good, the rooms in New Orleans were smaller and lacked certain amenities, like robes and slippers, which were provided in Mexico City. Additionally, the check-in process required a card authorization for incidentals, which wasn't necessary during my Mexico City stay and added a small extra step.

“Everything was incredible! 🌟 I stayed in a corner room with breathtaking views of the Mississippi River 🌊, enjoying stunning sunrises 🌅 and sparkling nightscapes 🌃. The breakfast and evening snacks at the Executive Lounge were top-notch 🍴✨. Even had a relaxing nighttime swim for some light exercise 🏊‍♂️🌙. The location? Absolutely perfect! 🏨👌”

Before tearing this place a new one I will say the assistant manager did her best to make what occurred right but it was still a putrid experience. The check in process was standard. Nothing great, nothing terrible. When we got to the room, we checked the bathroom and noticed it had not been cleaned as the previous guest's hair was still on the shower wall. The room looked dirty and felt dirty so we called the front desk to let them know and they told us they would send someone up to clean it again while we were out. That was a lie and no one ever came. We got back several hours later and the bathroom still had the guest hair on it. We then went to change for bed and moved a foot stool and under the footstool was a previous guest's worn undergarments. It was absolutely disgusting. The cleaning staff clearly did not clean this room at all. Just an appalling experience at a Marriott and a complete disregard for sanitary conditions. I question if the sheets on our bed were ever changed. We did go down to tell the assistant manager and she did try to make it right by deep cleaning the room and offering points for our trouble. She was perfectly pleasant but the entire trip all we could think about was the utter disregard for the guests health and how grotesque this hotel was. I couldn't wait to check out to go to a clean more sanitary establishment. We stayed at this hotel because the conference we were attending was there but we will never go back and stay in this hotel ever. Just a disgusting experience. If you go to New Orleans stay anywhere else! I would rather pay 5 times the rate than go back to this Marriott! This hotel was horrible and a blight on the Marriott name. If it weren't for the assistant manager's empathy, I would have given this place a 1!

The Marriott had positives and negatives. It’s really close to everything so that was great. The bar/lounge area was great. The pool was good.
The rooms are very small and tight. The carpet needs to be cleaned/replaced as it’s very dingy. There was this cringe looking chair that seemed to be very old and disgustingly dirty. The comforter had stains on it. The tile on the bathroom floor was extremely slippery even when dry so it was a bit hazardous. Getting in and out of the side door was terrible as you have to hold a door open while trying to manage your luggage and drag it up/down the steps.

Our family has made Dickie Brennan's our Thanksgiving tradition because the food is always amazing, and the service is unmatched. The wait staff always treats you like a star and are always very helpful.

Food was really good! Im a picky eater and I don't eat seafood. I had lobster with my prime rib and the lobster was amazing, I'm obsessed now and love lobster. The best prime rib ever, all the food was very well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were also amazing!

Me and my family just had dinner here and the food was incredible. Otis our server was incredible, and Gene his assistant were so attentive and very professional. Take good care of these guys and they will do the same in return. When I come back I will come back again!!!

It's pricey here but the Chicken christopher and the spinach and mushrooms was great. I just ask that they remember next time to bring that delicious bread out after I order And refill my water.

The hostess Sheila was great. She was courteous and professional. However our server treated us very poorly.

When asking for the food menu the server's response was crass,"That's because I didn't get it yet." We were served tea but waited no less than 20minutes to place our appetizer order. He then left us for a significant amount of time such that 2 other servers had to help my partner and I while Josh was nowhere to be found.

When we were finally able to order our food we had to get service from another 2 persons who noticed that we were sitting there abandoned waiting for the food.

Ordered a bottle of wine to have with our steak and that did not come until AFTER our food was served. I asked for the wine before dinner. Isn't that normal with a bottle?

I did however leave a 20% tip just in case the poor service was in fear of no tip from us.

Ordered a “medium” bone-less rib-eye, got a steak that so well done it could of only come from a straight A cow!

While waiting on my meal, my entertainment for the evening was watching the cook play on his phone the entire time I was there. One can only assume he was attempting the latest high score or keeping his many Facebook followers up to date on his latest culinary disaster.

The waiter was attentive at first, but after the main course was served he was harder to locate than Waldo! Someone, I can only assume was the manager because they never introduced themselves, asked how the meal was. My coworker was able to answer but I mid bite, and raised with good manners, was unable to respond. The ability of staff to vanish at this restaurant is astounding as the manager vanished just as quickly as the waiter.

If you care about good steaks cooked right, and staff that do their jobs you are better off finding another steakhouse. Morton’s at 6:30pm is not busy there was no reason any of this should of happened other than staff that simply don’t care. If they don’t than you really should take your business to better steakhouses in New Orleans.

loud and crowded. Occupied tables all clustered together. Asked waiter to move us, which he declined to do. Then asked manager to move us, which he did. Waiter made sure he made snide comments about that. Took forever to get drinks, steaks overcooked. Pet peeve - places that won't seat you until whole party is present. Etc. Won't go back. It's New Orleans. Why am I eating at a chain restaurant?

On vacation, beat my friends into town so I stopped here because it seemed a little nicer than walking further down Bourbon. Super attentive (and attractive!) wait staff, tried to local drinks (Sazerac) and some local beers, ended up bringing my friends back later. The crowd was good with a solid ambience and some college football to watch. Will stop by if I'm in town again.

Great atmosphere! We sat at the oyster bar and made new friends! Fantastic raw oysters (but that's a NOLA given), gigantic steamed shrimp. Great place to rest and refresh. The menu item is pretty much the same as everywhere else, but you can pick out lighter options if you need a break from the fried and smothered.

We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait an hour 1/2. The service was great, the bread and oysters were amazing, we also ordered the crab cake and the crab stuffed fish we didn't like it at all. The waiter had it removed from our check that was nice. It wasn't worth the wait for us.

Ordered their smothered chicken plate to go. One of the best smothered chicken plates I've ever tasted. And we were lucky to get it. When we got there dinner had not started. They were still serving lunch. But one of the chefs was nice enough to let us order their smothered chicken plate. And it was outstanding. The chicken was made perfectly. Tender, moist, plenty of flavor, well seasoned. The gravy was just as delicious. It made for a great combination. Two thumbs up for the smothered chicken plate.

The inside of the restaurant was very clean and the staff very helpful. Again I appreciate the Shelf willing to take in order from their dinner menu before dinner actually started.

Cons - I waited a while for someone to finally come serve me (He was pretty fast though). I get the char broiled oysters and ads the crab meat, I wouldn't recommend them here. They tasted fishy and I had a lot of crumbled oyster shell parts in my oysters. There was very little crab meat for the extra price they charge. I got no napkins, until I asked.
Pros - Food did come out pretty quick. The Riesling here was sweet, which I like. The crab fingers were actually pretty good.
