Reviews
Our stay at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter in a balcony room was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The location truly can’t be beat, right in the heart of the French Quarter, with easy access to incredible food, music, and all the energy New Orleans has to offer, yet still felt comfortable and relaxing.
What really set this hotel apart was the stellar customer service. From the moment we arrived, the valet made us feel welcomed and taken care of, and that level of warmth and professionalism continued with every single staff member we encountered throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our experience exceptional.
The balcony room was a perfect touch, allowing us to soak in the atmosphere while still enjoying a comfortable, well-appointed space to unwind.
And a special shout-out to the lobby bar—the bartender makes an amazing lemon drop martini that quickly became a highlight of our evenings. It was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the city.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch French Quarter experience!
One year ago we used this hotel for almost 100 guests traveling into town for our NOLA destination wedding. At the time Amber the sales manager was absolutely AMAZING to work with along with the entire team at Hyatt Centric. Fast forward to our recent one year anniversary and Samantha (group sales manager) was incredibly thoughtful and generous to us, sending us a personal note and treat to celebrate our one year!
The staff truly goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommend this hotel to visitors!
Martha was who checked us in and suggested her favorite room to us which had access to the courtyard. She took great care of us from check in until later in the day.
The Room: Huge ceilings which made the room feel much more spacious. Bathroom .. cleanest I have seen in a very long while. Very clean. Bed: Very very comfortable. My wife & I slept beautifully. Sheets were clean. TV worked wonders.
Our ONE problem: We had a shower with no hot water. Martha called maintenance. Maintenance arrived within 5 minutes. Hot water was restored and fixed in less than 1 minute. Issue resolved very quickly.
- Leela (I will be returning to edit if I spelled incorrectly) was the manager & we had the pleasure of meeting her in the evening. She is a very fun soul who is knowledgeable about the area. Whatever she recommends, she knows what she's talking about!
Two more employees who made this stay pleasurable was Eric who helped us learn the area and Ali who I believe handles the bar which we did attend later.
Do I recommend this property? Absolutely. We will also be returning for future stays. Best hotel stay we have had in a long while!
"First time visiting New Orleans, full of excitement. However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. Eventually left a day early and switched to another hotel.
- They refused to change the bed / linens even after 3 days

Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
The inside of the restaurant was very clean and the staff very helpful. Again I appreciate the Shelf willing to take in order from their dinner menu before dinner actually started.
Pros - Food did come out pretty quick. The Riesling here was sweet, which I like. The crab fingers were actually pretty good.
