Great restaurant, coffee shop, and jazz bar downstairs. Not a lot of amenities and an old building but charming with easy access to street car. Appreciate being able to leave the keys with the front desk.

The Pontchartrain Hotel provides a taste of New Orleans’ charm. Located in the Garden District, it's an easy walk to historic 19th-century mansions, oak-lined streets and shops and cafes. Our room had a New Orleans vibe.

The jazz band downstairs -Ed Perkins -made the few nights stay better than great , and the chicken wings rocked too ! Everyone and everything was exceptional even though I didn’t see any ghost but the atmosphere was really special . Stay here and get to know the valets also —you will love it !

Do not stay there at all cost.
It's dirty, dusty, not well maintained at all, there's no way to open the windows it feels extremly stuffy - I was so allergic the whole time.
The service is close to 0.
The Bayou Bar and Jack Rose are great but they feel like a completely separate entity. The rooftop has a beautiful view but also feels entirely separate.

Great location, always has been solid in prior stays. This time was the single worst check-in experience in my >50 years of travel abroad and domestically

Horrible experience
Never again
Charged my card twice and was just rude
Only thing that was good was the rooftop bar
We left after one night

Pretty disappointing visit. I've always enjoyed the rooftop bar and lower restaurant so I thought I'd try the hotel out on this trip. Upon check in, they didn't have a key for me. They use physical, metal keys and apparently the last guest had taken the key with them from what the front desk worker said. Also, security issue because they definitely didn't change the lock. Every time I wanted to access my room, either the engineer or the front desk worker would have to come with the master key to let me into my room which became really annoying after a few times. It wasn't until late into the second day of my stay until they remade me a key. Other complaints, I asked for an ironing board as my room didn't have one and never came and the safe didn't work. With all the great hotels around NOLA, don't waste your time with this one.

We had problems from check-in til we left. Disabled room we did not need or request so couldn’t hang up our clothes and no closet or shower door; the room was shabby and the bathroom dirty, as was the hallway; we had no maid service for three days despite complaining so the trash cans were overflowing and we had to use towels for three days; hotel staff nonexistent and any request for help was ignored; only one functioning elevator so had to wait long periods of time to get from our room to the ground; no room amenities at all so had to walk three blocks to get coffee in the morning; only one room key per room which is a safety issue for two people—- it just goes on and on. We finally checked in to a hotel down the street for the last nite. A nightmare. They are so interested in pushing their rooftop bar which makes them money they could not care less about hotel guests. And then we had the pleasure of paying over $2000 for this disaster. Do NOT stay at this place.

Beautiful historic hotel with great restaurants, perfect location in the Garden District with very easy access to cable cars. Always my favorite place to stay in NOLA!

We were never told when we checked that there is a $250 fee if you lose the room key. We were given only one key for a 2 room suite. I explained that to the check out staff and she said it didn't matter and we would still be charged the $250 fee.
They also wanted to charge me an extra day that we had reserved, but I had to leave a day early for an emergency situation. I had them call the manager and explain the situation and he agreed that we did not have to pay the extra day.
The hotel is old, but the coffee shop was great. The staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful.

Some friends and I had brunch at this location. The service was extremely slow and poor. It took at least 15 minutes for us to get glasses of water, and our waitress had to be prompted to refill our drinks and to remove the used plates from the table (some of which remained on the table until we left). I ordered an omelet that was not cooked thoroughly. When I brought it to the GM’s attention I was offered another omelet, but it too was not cooked all the way. And after being served 2 back to back undercooked omelets, I was not offered an apology, but rather given excuses as to why the contents of the omelet were contributing to it being undercooked and then offered a whopping $5 off my meal.

We went after the basketball and sat at the bar. They were busy I'll be honest. But the wait times are ridiculous, we ordered our food and appetizers at the same time and two daiquiris . One daiquiri showed up watered down the other never came until I got the manager to remake it. Our food and appetizers showed up an hour and half later! The bill comes and its $70! After being treated the way we were and not offered anything on the bill was beyond me! I will never come back. No longer worth the money and time.

Service is a bit slow but it is busy. The staff are nice and love the pizza pasta bowl. Also, they have the best turtle cheesecake! (I enjoy it much more than Cheesecake Factory).

This is the worst service I ever had in my life. I had to wait over an hour for my food because the waiter took my order didn't even put the order in. Then I told the supervisor and he did nothing to accommodate me at all. I don't recommend this place for anyone.

The service is slow, new staff every other week and management keeps changing. Food is tasty and drinks are pretty good. However, they need to have the more experienced waiters in the bar area for "Happy Hour". Don't usually give bad reviews, but the service SUCKS!!!!

Have been to the Trolley Stop countless times over the years. Recently went on a Saturday around 9am. Our server, despite only having worked here for 3 months, knew the menu well and helped direct us in ordering. We got two egg omelettes, grits, biscuits, and of course a pancake. Everything was top notch and the omelettes are the best we've ever had! We will definitely continue to come in everytime we are in town. Great job guys! Keep up the good work!!

Stopped by for the first time today because another cafe had a wait. Got some food to go which all looked good. Had a DELICIOUS mimosa while I waited.
My bartender John was awesome and the staff was friendly. A server Key stopped and talk to me because I was sitting by myself at the bar.

Definitely a good atmosphere. Not usually a
breakfast person but I’m coming back!

great food. nice people. good service. it’s our breakfast spot whenever we visit NOLA. try the Stuffed Omelet — but ask for a go-box b/c you won’t finish it in one sitting.

Finally we go to a spectacular breakfast place during our stay. When we walked in I was initially not impressed, there was a long line of people waiting and a bunch of open tables. It took us a bit to get seated but it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the western omlete and added cheese and it was fantastic. Also love their hash browns!

Ate here while staying in New Orleans for 5 days. Very accessible by trolley. Excellent service, very polite and friendly staff. Casual dining. The good is delicious, cheap and they have large portions so leftovers are great if you don't feel like cooking later.

Favorite restaurant in Kansas City. However, they closed the KC location. While in New Orleans, we stumbled upon this location - our day was made!! Same great food, drinks and service!! The Danish pork ribs are the best and the salmon filet and red cabbage is right there!!! Best service and food for the money. We’ll be back the next time in New Orleans.

Walked N on a very busy Saturday night. Went to bar and was seated within 15 minutes. Brenda our bartender/server was fantastic. We had a wonderful meal listening to some great jazz. Great place to go.
