The room was great. It was really interesting to stay in an old sugar factory. It was really cold and when we were there and the heat hard a time keeping up with 74. Other than the lack of heat everything was awesome. We were told they could have brought in a portable heater if we staying another day. This hotel was great.

I don’t know where to start. I’ll start off with the good. The staff were exceptionally nice and very friendly. That’s all the good i can say. The hotel aesthetically looks great - until you actually go to your room. Me and my partner were here for 5 days and not 1 day did we receive housekeeping. We had to ask the front desk for extra toilet paper. There was absolutely no heat in the room (surprisingly NOLA was cold) and the front desk provided a space heater (this told me this happens often.) to make matters worse, i ordered food via GrubHub and my driver told me she left my food delivery directly outside of the building on the sidewalk, right in front of the hotel entrance door. When i went downstairs to get it, no food was there. I contacted the driver and she said as she drove away “i saw someone take your food and assumed it was you. Sorry for that. Try contacting GrubHub for a refund”. When I communicated this to the front desk, he stated “idk man, this never happens and walked away”. Lol no offer to view the CCTV or anything. I would never suggest this hotel to anyone if i ever came back to NOLA. Definitely better options out there.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly. I love the architecture and decor in the hotel. The location is amazing! There did seem to be some service issues - maybe they were short-staffed. There was a housekeeping cart in the hallway most of the first day we were there. Seemed like it was for self-service....in case we needed something. Nobody came to our room to clean it or change out the towels - that is pretty standard in a hotel unless you put out the "do not disturb" sign which we did not. It was ok for us though since we are pretty neat. All in all, we loved our stay.

BRAVO!! The Hotel was nicely appointed, and the finishes top notch. Heated pool turned out to be a real bonus for our group. Overall vibe was excellent, and we will be recommending this spot to our friends and colleagues. Special shout out to the incredible staff, the entire Team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and cared for. Thank you Victor, Steven, Melissa, Steve, Joel and GM- Lisa.

The breakfast food was sufficient to take the edge off hunger, fresh, good coffee, what was needed for people who will be eating all day.
The Balcony was ery pleasant at night
my room was very nice. Th shower gel comtainer was completely empty.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Room and build were very clean.
Only issue were other guests. The person above us walked heavily and someone’s tv was extremely loud. It didn’t last long so we didn’t contact the front desk.
Loved the overall stay, great hotel and location. Will recommend.

Perfect location, clean, comfortable, and great for our first NO experience. Close to most things you’d like to see, do, eat, explore. My only complaint is the breakfast as it could have had more variety for GF/DF folks… but after such rich Cajun/Creole lunches and dinners, we truly weren’t that hungry in the mornings anyway. Thank you!

Great location - New Hotel in Historic Building - kept architectural from older building with new modern amenities
31.12.2025 Matthew
Super convenient given relatively small size. Quite new, so that was good. Just outside the quarter. Parking expensive at $67/day, but again convenient. Lots of people walk their dogs in the parking lots, so watch out where you walk. Easy to walk to quarter, aquarium, Canal St, Jackson Square, etc. Pool small, but warm for kids. Breakfast included was nice, but often out of items. Beds never made up and had to ask for room towel/trash service, but clean and modern rooms. Great stay overall, but a few small things could have made it better.
31.12.2025 James
Room was very clean as well as the building. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Location was good for getting to sites by walking.

It's pricey here but the Chicken christopher and the spinach and mushrooms was great. I just ask that they remember next time to bring that delicious bread out after I order And refill my water.

The hostess Sheila was great. She was courteous and professional. However our server treated us very poorly.

When asking for the food menu the server's response was crass,"That's because I didn't get it yet." We were served tea but waited no less than 20minutes to place our appetizer order. He then left us for a significant amount of time such that 2 other servers had to help my partner and I while Josh was nowhere to be found.

When we were finally able to order our food we had to get service from another 2 persons who noticed that we were sitting there abandoned waiting for the food.

Ordered a bottle of wine to have with our steak and that did not come until AFTER our food was served. I asked for the wine before dinner. Isn't that normal with a bottle?

I did however leave a 20% tip just in case the poor service was in fear of no tip from us.

Differently a bit pricey but still great food

Ordered a “medium” bone-less rib-eye, got a steak that so well done it could of only come from a straight A cow!

While waiting on my meal, my entertainment for the evening was watching the cook play on his phone the entire time I was there. One can only assume he was attempting the latest high score or keeping his many Facebook followers up to date on his latest culinary disaster.

The waiter was attentive at first, but after the main course was served he was harder to locate than Waldo! Someone, I can only assume was the manager because they never introduced themselves, asked how the meal was. My coworker was able to answer but I mid bite, and raised with good manners, was unable to respond. The ability of staff to vanish at this restaurant is astounding as the manager vanished just as quickly as the waiter.

If you care about good steaks cooked right, and staff that do their jobs you are better off finding another steakhouse. Morton’s at 6:30pm is not busy there was no reason any of this should of happened other than staff that simply don’t care. If they don’t than you really should take your business to better steakhouses in New Orleans.

loud and crowded. Occupied tables all clustered together. Asked waiter to move us, which he declined to do. Then asked manager to move us, which he did. Waiter made sure he made snide comments about that. Took forever to get drinks, steaks overcooked. Pet peeve - places that won't seat you until whole party is present. Etc. Won't go back. It's New Orleans. Why am I eating at a chain restaurant?

Food was very good. Nice size portions couldn't finish my plate. Wife had an appy that was large enough for her dinner. And waitress (Allison) was best one we had since being here. Would recommend to anyone!

Went to Gospel Brunch my first missing in the city. A lot of the seats they're charging for have very very limited views. I had a fun brunch overall, and the music sounded great, but I couldn't see a thing. The buffet was hit and miss, some great stuff in there like the fried chicken, the mac and cheese, and the biscuits (oh god the biscuits). The real charmer here were the endless mimosas. A good touristy experience, ultimately felt a little cheap but I still had a good time and left with no regrets. I imagine the people sitting up front had a better time.
26.10.2017 Sarena
Pretty typical for a House of Blues, but I tend to like each House of Blues I've visited. This one has a beautiful, historic courtyard, and the interior is cool too. Fun bartender, even if he didn't know much about the beer list. Tasty food and mixed drinks. Seriously good music from Jason Bishop too!
14.10.2017 Shawn
The intricate layout is not confusing, but it is fun! It's a big venue and one of the best house of blues locations in my opinion. The artwork on the walls is interesting and modern, with a nod to the past. The media played on the TV's and put on stage all fit the aesthetic of whatever show is happening which is really cool. The bar was a little slow but it was understandable because a lot of people wanted drinks. I had a great night and would definitely attend another show.
30.09.2017 Kim
Went to the Gospel Brunch. My wife and I agree: This was the best brunch either if us had ever eaten. Think "Cruise Ship Quality "
The music program was authentic "Black Gospel" We're definitely going back next time we're in NOLA on a Sunday.

The food here is great. The servers are really nice. They recommended my meal and it was great. I had the eggs Florentine, and it was great. Would recommend having it with a biscuit which was really nice. They also recommended that I take the potatoes with it and it was nice as well. I was alone and sat at the bar area, but it was a really nice experience.

This has become one of my favorite brunch spots in NOLA! There is often a long wait so you should check in on the No Wait app before getting to the restaurant. The food and service are really good!
02.12.2017 Esther
busy place, but we only waited about five minutes tho get seated (they had said it would be 15 to 20 minutes wait). The menu had a good sampling of southern style breakfast/brunch offerings. The staff was super nice and didn't make you feel rushed don they could turn the table like some places. The food came out quickly, the portions were large, everything was delicious, their biscuits and brown sugar butter were treat. I even enjoyed the grits and I usually don't care for then much, I mixed in dome of that butter and it really made then something special. Price point was on par for the amount of food served.
25.11.2017 Dianna
This place was so good! Incredible omelette with gulf shrimp, one of a kind breakfast potatoes and a BITCHIN biscuit. It was super busy too and the food didn’t take long at all. The bartender even offered me a coffee to go.
21.11.2017 James
We waited outside for over an hour. It was worth it. The turnover was speedy, there was just a lot of people waiting. They will text your phone when you are next so you can walk off and shop. The service and the food were wonderful. Creative breakfast experiences are rare, give them a try.
