New Orleans, 405 Esplanade Avenue (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is clean, very well located, and well maintained. However, our kitchenette was practically unusable, even for just coffee and ceral because the largest cabinet had been nailed shut and the silverware was in a wierd shalliw drawer that was impossible to open or close.
Our biggest complaint is that although we are in our mid 60s and my husband is in a wheel, n9ne of the staff ever came out...
Our room was nice but had a few issues especially with the money spent, such as: The bed was horribly uncomfortable, there was a crack in the main door that you could see light through, the room smelled horribly like it had been sprayed with raid. We had to keep the door open & exhaust fan on to clear it out. Other than that, we have no complaints.
Room was very clean. Loved the dark natural wood doors and trims. Very close to the French Quarter and transit line.
The staff was awesome and did everything to make our stay the best!!!! I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone.
Location location! Great spot walking distance to all the happenings. You can people watch or join the party. Hotel was nice and clean. Friendly staff. I would stay again. 😎
Location, location, location. Close to Market Square and other NOLA events. Hotel was historic. Clean, comfortable rooms. Staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Okay, hear me out…. I booked this room for NYE without reading reviews. I read reviews a few days prior and got nervous. We are local and just needed a decent place to sleep close to The Orpheum Theater. It’s an old building… any building in NOLA that was built prior to 2005, you will have to worry about mold. Luckily, there were no visible signs of mold like others stated, but my allergies were reacting...
Ok hear me out...it has potential. And it was not awful...but the pictures online are definitely misleading. I don't know what floor those rooms are on but it wasn't mine. My room was much older and was a little like being in someone's attic. Overall I would describe it as maybe a little dingey. The room was mostly clean but there are just a few changes that could make a big difference. Almost all...
This is my favorite hotel in NOLA. This is also my second time staying here in a two week period, and that says alot. This place is clean, has beautiful views, and is in a great location. There's a bar at this hotel, plenty of places to eat, and lots of places to shop, all within walking distance. This hotel has a balcony on each floor. The balcony is where I spend most of my time taking in New Orleans...
Great motel in a historic building and a great location for the French quarter. Only two blocks from bourbon street
Quaint little apartment with a great balcony and historic charm. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were really comfortable and the space was nice and comfortable. The check in process was easy and we had access to everything we needed. It had a few small things that needed to be fixed but that is to be expected in a historic building. We would definitely stay again.
Very stylish, old-style hotel. We stayed in a very spacious 2-bedroom apartment. The apartment has a large balcony with the view on the Canal Street. The location is perfect, just on the edge of French Quarter. The staff was super nice and friendly.

New Orleans, 330 Magazine St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel has character which fits the New Orleans experience quite well. It’s an older heritage building but is charming. It was very rainy during my stay, and my first room had a strong damp smell, so the staff moved me upon request… second room was much better. Ik sure the dampness is associated with the age of the classic building. Basic sort of breakfast in a small bar area… but quite cute. Front...
Great location and beautiful interior
The hotel was very well located, but the room smelled damp and was quite poorly laid out, with the living room quite far from the main room. There was no view and the lack of light was glaring. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff. Great location. Handy for French quarter and riverfront and business district. Walked everywhere and used the trolleys. Left the car parked at hotel.
My wife and I arrived for a getaway. We found the location and hotel to be perfect. The staff so kind and friendly. We have decided to come back again and stay here again.
Very disappointed. Hotel was rated 4 stars but I gave 3 hesitantly. First complaint: not enough towels, no glasses, Keurig coffee machine was not plugged in, had to put it on the floor in a different location to find a plug to use it. No extra roll of toilet paper and only 1/2 of roll on holder. The shower wall had a clump of long black hair (gross). Only one luggage rack and no other place to keep...

This is our 5th visit to NOLA and we finally feel like we found a "home" here at AJH. In addition to the beautiful overall charm of this amazing and historic hotel, the staff absolutely made our stay. Leroy is one of the greatest people we met here in NOLA. In an age where good service sometimes falls through the cracks, Leroy went above and beyond for us. He was Incredibly friendly and professional...
This is by far the best place to stay in New Orleans. Leroy is the manager and he’s amazing, a very welcoming host who’s a pleasure to speak with, he went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the courtyard is lovely. This is the only place we’ll stay at moving forward. It’s also the perfect location, one street over from bourbon and just...
Leroy at the front desk was great!!!
The cleaning could have been better but it was okay. She made sure we had clean sheets and towels daily.
The building needs repairs, like the porch seems like it will collapse soon.
The Owner stopped providing coffee in the lobby
Great location! Walking distance from the restaurants/shops/bars. Cool hotel and history behind it. Leroy was very helpful and attentive. Would go back!
Staff!! Conveniently located to all the entertainment and eateries. Highly recommend if you want a nice quiet and restful sleep.
Hotel was a little rough around the edges, but we throughly enjoyed our stay here. We ad the king balcony room, which was great for sitting out on at night sipping a red and people watching. Great location near Bourbon street and some really great restaurants! Front desk staff is absolutely awesome. Friendly and accommodating! Room was fine. Bathroom was WAY TOO Small. I could barely fit in the water closet. It took nearly 10 minutes for the hot water to heat up. Decent location.
Room is small but quaint. Gives you that New Orleans vibe. Perfectly located for walking. Check in person super friendly and helpful. Walked us to our room & helped with our bags. Offered us a bottle of water which we gladly accepted.
Clean Room. Excellent Location, will definitely stay here again due to location alone. The hotel's parking lot is very small though (maybe 10 spots or less). We were lucky it was a slower time, or I'm sure we wouldn't have been able to get one of the spots.
The balcony view was ok - it was too an internal courtyard - so the view was doors to other rooms and a small fountain.
The bathroom was small with no counter space.
My room was on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators but they carried my bags up and down, which was great!
Love the architect of this hotel. It’s beautiful courtyard that was also featured in The Originals! The staff is very friendly. The room was always clean when we came back from our adventures. This was our second time to stay at Hotel Royal!
Our stay was nice, no complaints. Photos show a fireplace in the suite but no fireplace, that's ok though.

The room was clean. The day was nice and it was in a good location. Very convenient stuff all the way around parking was OK but y’all’s coffee is terrible.
Staff yes
Microwave did not work
There was no soap in the shower
Only one wash cloth
Breakfast area left a lot to be desired
TV was not working and we had to ask for a hair dryer as that was missing. That’s something not expected
Here’s the deal, it was extremely affordable. But you get what you pay for. Wasn’t the nicest, but the bedding was clean. Staff was extremely nice. When I checked in, I discovered my shower, did not have a showerhead. I checked in very late. I let the front desk know the next day while I was out they installed a new showerhead and it was greatly appreciated.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. But the property was very run down and the neighborhood was sketchy. Our room had holes in the walls and the sink was broken. Actually, wrapped the handle to the base by tape. There is also no elevators for the top floor, so had to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs was not fun. We didn't have the time or energy to find something else so just made due. The only...

This was our fifth time staying with Stephen and every time feels like coming home. We stayed there from Nov. 8-15. You have your own house, with a lush patio a spacious bedroom and bath on the second floor and the living room/kitchen on the ground floor. Stephen has stocked it with lots of snacks and drinks as well as a book of recommendations. It is our favorite neighborhood in New Orleans. So...
We happened upon Pierre Coulon Guest House in the most serendipitous way, and had a wonderful stay there. It is a unique and historic space, located in a great neighborhood of New Orleans. Stephen is such a welcoming host and has put so much love and care into the space: the kitchen is thoughtfully stocked, the living room is cozy, and it feels like home. The guest house opens up to a beautiful garden...
The property is in a truly old home, but they have done a great job to update it and make it comfortable. It has the feel of a hostel, but definitely higher quality than your average hostel. It's a great option for a place to lay your head that is clean and convenient. The porch is amazing is well. Everything works, showers were warm, and everything was clean.
Charming house behind a house off the street with a beautiful garden in front. Very private and very comfortable. Stephen is an excellent host! The Marigny District is very centrally located, walking distance to the French Quarter, with lovely restaurants nearby.
My partner and I stayed in Stephen's beautiful guesthouse for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. This guesthouse is BEAUTIFUL and spacious and charming!! The two upstairs bedrooms have a balcony overlooking a courtyard, lots of natural light, and are well stocked with everything a traveler could need. The courtyard is gorgeous -- filled with plants and flowers that give it a tropical...
Beautiful property and great, welcoming staff. Property is in a great location. Older property is not well noise insulated. There was some sleep interruptions the first two nights from noisy upstairs neighbors. I would probably give highest rating if staying on second floor.

Wonderful little hotel in a good location close to the main areas in the French quarter but far enough away that the area felt safe and quiet. Would definitely reccomend this place.
The hotel itself. Being converted was great. It's not big, it's not small. Just big enough.
Yes and yes! As cold one nite and requested extra blanket - it was brought promptly. Shower door was hard to close. All else was great.
Staff was wonderful. Room was spotless upon arrival and maintained properly throughout our stay.
Very clean and lady at the front desk was very friendly, great place to stay and walking distance to French Quarter and you don’t have to deal with parking in the street since this hotel has its own parking lot
Loved this place! Our room had a few extra visitors but overall the atmosphere was very relaxing and homey. The staff were attentive and helped ensure all our concerns were addressed. We've recommended this place to others visiting the area and would love to come stay again. Our room was on the side of the cemetery but still worth it.

The Mercantile was the perfect place for us to stay. We only had a short visit as I was visiting a friend in Texas. We drove to New Orleans before I had to go back to Vancouver, Canada. This place was perfect. We...
Property was nice I got the king suite and it was so worth it. Doesn’t have a view of anything but the hot breakfast is real good and rooms are spacious
Valet is hit or miss. First night there we waited 20 mins and then recieved text message that said unfortunately there was no valet to retrieve our vehicle. Staff easnt any help with this. So we ended up door dashing food. The restaurants around the hotel were either bars or $30-$50 per person. The beds are really hard but the pillows are fluffy, lumpy but fluffy. And if you get a room around the elevator...
Love the condo style rooms one bedroom Front room with a bar and stereo wall mounted TV.

I had a pleasant stay at the Mercantile Hotel. It's in a fantastic location—just a short walk to the heart of the city, making it easy to explore New Orleans. The rooms are spacious, which is a big plus for families, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch to start the day.

Absolutely one of the best hotels that I ever stayed at!!! It was an incredible experience! We stayed in the Gone with the wind room and just WOW! The staff was amazing! Everyone seemed like they were having a good time. The rest guest of the hotel were very friendly. I am already planning another trip to go back!
Nice place to stay if you want to say you stayed in old mansion. Location is good being right by the streetcars. Extremely quiet place, only once saw other guests. Staff was accommodating to our requests during their hours on location. It is old so don't expect fancy amenities. We had a wonderful stay here. We stayed from 6/10/22 to 6/14/22. The staff were very helpful, attentive, kind, and professional. They made wonderful suggestions of things to do while in town. It was my second time here and both times it's been a magical experience. How lucky are we that a place like this is still preserved and available for tourists to stay and enjoy it fully. You'll get to sit in beautiful antique furniture. The building is stunning. It is almost 200 years old and the various owners must have worked really hard over the years to preserve it. The hotel is gorgeous, the owner is nice enough and accommodating. The only complaint I have is the word "breakfast", in "bed and breakfast". The only options were stale, very stale, wal mart pastries (halved) . The coffee was ok, but I hope you don't like cream in your coffee, because they're isn't any.
I stayed here and I loved it. I would like to stay here again.

Great convenient location. Parking was convenient. Pool was nice and clean. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Nice hotel but a few quirks. The hotel is modern with plenty of free parking for its guests. It's right off of I-10 and about 20mins to downtown. Beautiful location. The neighborhood has endless things to do. The front entrance on toulouse is busy (during Mardi Gras) & within view of the chaos and vibrancy of Mardi Gras. Directly across the street are 2 bars- Molly's & the dungeon. The back courtyard is quiet, with a fountain, lots of shade and greenery, and jazz music coming from the restaurant on the other side at the perfect background volume...
Amazing balcony patio with live jazz music every day from the Court of Two Sisters brunch connected to the courtyard. Great bed and shower. Perfect location right between Bourbon and Royal. This is the best time we've had in New Orleans and we've visited alot. Great place to stay!
Besides a few minor issues with the management and room, It was in an excellent location! To the right Two feet to Bourbon Street and to the left a few blocks to Canal Street. I loved every minute of it! I’d book it again in a New York minute!
We spent a most memorable week at Sonder's Maison de Ville, in The Heart of the French Quarter. Our room was lovely, and faced a courtyard filled with greenery as well as tables to enjoy an Aperitif, and the tranquility, being only 50 feet from Bourbon Street. The location could not have been more ideal. There were restaurants and boutiques literally minutes from anywhere you turned, in addition to...
Location was wonderful and the hotel itself was beautiful. But our bathroom sink didn’t drain, the shower handle broke off, and the tub would fill every time you tried to shower. Definitely in need of better maintenance. Even with the air conditioning, we woke up sweating. Sometimes the front door code wouldn’t work even though we entered it correctly.
Loved the location! Awoke (late!) to the sounds of the Jaz trio next door! Room was perfect for us. Only one issue...the front door keypad was so so difficult, and could have had more towels available, but, will definitely return and book the same room! Thanks!

I just stayed at the lookout for three days. The Jacuzzi was perfect. The rooms were very spacious and clean my third times staying there. The Elvis room was my favorite so far thanks for a great hospitality.
Im travelling alone and this is my first time in New Orleans. The room is fun, funky.clean and comfortable. The kind of place I like staying in. The neighborhood has plenty of places to eat. I love the art vibe and have bought a few pieces to bring home. Very walkable neighborhood. The hosts are very accommodating. I'd recommend staying here.
My family had an amazing stay at The Lookout Inn! This is the perfect option for a big family or a group traveling together. The hosts were so nice and accommodating, the pool/cabana/backyard are beautiful and made the hot days so much more bearable, and we enjoyed exploring the Bywater neighborhood. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
This would be 5stars all around if it was in the French quarter or off bourbon street but we absolutely loved this place! It felt like we were right at home here! The pool and hot tub area were so peaceful. The room was cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed and everything was clean and neatly arranged! Great job owners we enjoyed our stay!
A beautiful home that's obviously loved by the owners. The art and decor are exquisite, the bed and linens are exceptionally comfortable, and the room and grounds were clean and well maintained.

When I search for a hotel, I am looking for a few things. 1. Quiet. When I go to bed at night, I want to sleep and I want it quiet. 2. Clean. I am OCD when it comes to my own home being cleaned. I expect nothing less when I have to pay for it. 3. Price. I am there to bathe and sleep. Shouldn't cost that much. First. this is like an apartment. Livingroom, kitchen with eating area, bedroom and bathroom...
Due to the location and proximity to the bars and clubs, it’s incredibly noisy. My room was on the front of the property and impossible to sleep until the bars/clubs closed! The area is terrific, but the noise is a dealbreaker. The room was big, but dirty.
Great location if looking to immerse yourself in Frenchman St music venues. Rooms have plenty of space - kitchenette almost too big using up space needed for the small bathrooms. Tight bathroom space only minus to the rooms.
The location can not be beat! There are great clubs directly across the street, the quarter within walking distance, and we felt 100% safe at all times. The staff is fantastic, especially April in housekeeping! If/when I return to NOLA, I will be staying at Frenchman Orleans.
the location was the best the property was clean and very helpful staff

New Orleans, 1625 Prytania Street (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Spending the night in a historical mansion was on my bucket list and I had a lovely experience at the Queen Anne. The former home was beautifully remodeled to its original beauty. As we walked in the door, we could immediately smell that distinct smell of antique buildings. The management was extremely friendly and met all our requests.
check in at the hotel right around corner. beautiful old house. fantastic location -3 block walk to the St Charles trolley. much better than trying to drive/park in the french Q. Bed was super comfortable. water pressure for showers was excellent.
This is a wonderful place to stay. We had a large room and balcony overlooking the street. It was hot the week we stayed there, that wasn't an issue though the room was very cool. We'll be back.
The room was small, but inviting with antique vibes. Loved our stay here. The beds could have been bigger. The toilets were clean. The location is very convenient. The Check in and the Car parking were across the street at the Prytania Park Hotel. The Saint Charles Street Car stops to French quarter is at a walking distance.
Rooms here are so beautiful, definitely hear for steps from the people above us.
We will return again and again. Parking and finding check in was a bit of a trial; future guests should note that check in is at 1527 Euterpe, at the Prytania Oaks hotel. Parking is across the street from the Queen Anne, which is on Prytania street. But the room, oh god, was it beautiful!!! And the service is impeccable; you truly feel as though you are taken care of by faeries. It's WONDERFUL.
