The hotel is located on Waikiki Commercial Street, next to the beach. There is direct access to the beach from the swimming pool. There are many commercial restaurants and shops around, which is very convenient. We love Sawgrass. It has a special place in our hearts for many years of family vacations spent with our children. Our last stay was to celebrate our 28th Wedding Anniversary and we loved it. Rooms had some smell and are on the older side. Breakfast not really up to standard for top hotel, beach is far from hotel. Location is a bit far from everything. Hotel is a bit too bit. Excellent! There are three swimming pools with water slides. It's very clean, and the beach is incredibly calm and blue, with stunning sunsets every day. The staff are very attentive. I witnessed a volcanic eruption on the Big Island – an unforgettable experience!

This property was one of the nicer properties in Maui that we saw while beach hopping. It was less busy and the beach access was great for snorkeling. Was centrally located to most shopping and dining. Just sad we had to leave.

Service was good. Room was nice size, clean and well appointed. The only problem I had was the shower/bathtub. The water pressure was not very good and the shower curtain was not big enough to close up while showering. Other than that it was a lovely room and bathroom.

We stayed in a room on the first floor with a courtyard. The courtyard was open, and in the morning, a leisurely wild boar walked by, which made the children very happy. The pool area was like a small water park, and the large water slide was the children's favorite.
