A very clean and cozy atmosphere. The staff was helpful and pleasant, especially Nick from Guest Relations (he called and set up Transportion for an early departure). She gave great suggestions for popular eateries and easy routes to their locations. I can't wait to share this wonderful experience with friends and family.

The pool is under construction, so it was very noisy during my stay with all the drilling throughout the day.

Overall stay was nice. Hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and professional, and location was excellent for walking commute to Bourbon Street and Superdome. Stayed on the 28th floor so noise from the street was not an issue. Be aware parking is valet only and drop off location is at the rear on Common Street. Would have given 5-stars, however the shower water was only lukewarm despite taking a shower at 11:30 pm and 6 am!!

Yes the only thing I didn't like was not knowing all the fees I would be charged. More than 350 dollars in extra fees 😡😡

Our stay at the JW Marriott New Orleans was excellent. The service and hospitality were top-notch — every staff member was welcoming and attentive. The hotel was spotless, from the lobby to the rooms, and everything felt fresh and well cared for. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to the French Quarter, top restaurants, and nightlife. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in New Orleans.

My room was clean, however the iron didn’t work. I called down to get another iron and was told they will send one up. I still to this day never received the iron.
The water pressure was ridiculous and it made a loud thumping sound every time someone showered.
If it wasn’t for Louis in valet and the bar staff I would have given my overall stay a 1.

Our room was not cleaned one day but when cleaned the next, stained sheets. Otherwise, the rest of the experience was excellent, excellent location and right in the middle of everything

Our family has made Dickie Brennan's our Thanksgiving tradition because the food is always amazing, and the service is unmatched. The wait staff always treats you like a star and are always very helpful.

Food was really good! Im a picky eater and I don't eat seafood. I had lobster with my prime rib and the lobster was amazing, I'm obsessed now and love lobster. The best prime rib ever, all the food was very well seasoned. The mashed potatoes were also amazing!

Me and my family just had dinner here and the food was incredible. Otis our server was incredible, and Gene his assistant were so attentive and very professional. Take good care of these guys and they will do the same in return. When I come back I will come back again!!!

On vacation, beat my friends into town so I stopped here because it seemed a little nicer than walking further down Bourbon. Super attentive (and attractive!) wait staff, tried to local drinks (Sazerac) and some local beers, ended up bringing my friends back later. The crowd was good with a solid ambience and some college football to watch. Will stop by if I'm in town again.

Great atmosphere! We sat at the oyster bar and made new friends! Fantastic raw oysters (but that's a NOLA given), gigantic steamed shrimp. Great place to rest and refresh. The menu item is pretty much the same as everywhere else, but you can pick out lighter options if you need a break from the fried and smothered.

We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait an hour 1/2. The service was great, the bread and oysters were amazing, we also ordered the crab cake and the crab stuffed fish we didn't like it at all. The waiter had it removed from our check that was nice. It wasn't worth the wait for us.

Ordered their smothered chicken plate to go. One of the best smothered chicken plates I've ever tasted. And we were lucky to get it. When we got there dinner had not started. They were still serving lunch. But one of the chefs was nice enough to let us order their smothered chicken plate. And it was outstanding. The chicken was made perfectly. Tender, moist, plenty of flavor, well seasoned. The gravy was just as delicious. It made for a great combination. Two thumbs up for the smothered chicken plate.

The inside of the restaurant was very clean and the staff very helpful. Again I appreciate the Shelf willing to take in order from their dinner menu before dinner actually started.

Cons - I waited a while for someone to finally come serve me (He was pretty fast though). I get the char broiled oysters and ads the crab meat, I wouldn't recommend them here. They tasted fishy and I had a lot of crumbled oyster shell parts in my oysters. There was very little crab meat for the extra price they charge. I got no napkins, until I asked.
Pros - Food did come out pretty quick. The Riesling here was sweet, which I like. The crab fingers were actually pretty good.

Great place to eat, the service was quick and excellent. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and took care of us. I gave them 4 stars because I thought the fish was bland. I am so used to eating seasoned fish. However, it was really fresh and I loved the shrimp. Would highly recommend!!!

I had their blackened grouper that came with steamed vegetables. The grouper had great flavor and it was well-seasoned. The fish itself was flaky yet moist and had good texture. The steamed vegetables did not have a lot of flavor. I was kind of surprised. Even so, the dinner was delicious and not too expensive.

The location of the restaurant is on an active, busy, well-traffic corner. You want to be mindful and aware when visiting, especially at night.

It is a nice restaurant with good food. All seafood as oysters prepared with enormous amount of butter ( no wonder it tastes so good) and a lot of deep fried dishes. The barbecue oysters with homemade BBQ sauce was delicious.
The service was too fast. Our waitress was in such a hurry like she was missing last streetcar in the middle of the night.
This place is just ok. It is locking that special New Orleans atmosphere some restaurants have.

We were a huge group that visited them during a weekday evening. They were pretty packed. I did like the one in Metairie more than the one here, but I still loved their platter. It was almost as good as the other one. Otherwise a lovely place to be. Their location is pretty spot on. The staff was pleasant, and their wait times wasn't crazy.

Overall, loved it.

Called to ask for reservation. Was rudely told by whoever answered the phone, absolutely not followed by a click. Used to go there religiously and even recommended to my friends. After reading some of the reviews for both locations, I think I would like to keep my friends as friends and pass. Can't understand why the attitude with staff and management. Don't the owners ever read the comments? Plenty of great restaurants in NO to choose from. Its a shame. maybe its time for a nice unannounced health department inspection. (See comments from other location). Tip for anyone contemplating eating at any restaurant. before getting a seat, check out the bathroom. If its filthy, I guarantee you so is their kitchen.
