First time staying at the Moxie DC. I was in town for a few days for business. Should’ve read the fine print. The hotel itself is quirky and has a cool vibe. All of the staff members that I encountered during my 2 days were very courteous and friendly and accommodating. However, the rooms are extremely small. I had intended to spend the majority of one of my days working from my hotel room, but unfortunately, the hotel rooms are so small that there is not even a table, desk or chair to sit in. If you want to work and not sit on your bed all day, you’re invited to go down to the second floor library, which is just an open area that echoes above the lobby with music blasting in your ears, not conducive for a work environment. The television stations unfortunately did not work for the entire time I stayed there. Mentioned it several times and kept getting told that they were working on it. Impossible for me to believe that after 2.5 days of working on it, you still couldn’t get television in a hotel. Also, if you are a fairly light sleeper as I am, please be sure to bring earplugs as the walls between the rooms are extremely thin. The showerheads in the bathrooms are amazing. Probably the best hotel shower I think I’ve ever experienced. The vibe on the outdoor patio at night is very cool if you want to sit out and have a drink. And it’s great walking distance to shopping and area dining.

Andre reccomended Clyde’s when we needed food at midnight on a Tuesday, and man was he spot on! Super Texas sized plates and deliciousness combined.
I fell ill for an entire day and David, (I think he is in maintenance made 3 trips for items, even recommending a Chinese soup to make me feel better!).
You’ll not get this kind of TLC anyplace else!
Who cares if the rooms are cozy, we weren’t in it very long anyway! Everything else was 5 star!

I stayed at the Moxy Washington, DC while attending a conference, and overall it was a good experience for what the hotel is designed to be.
The rooms are definitely on the smaller side — very efficient and functional, almost giving a Japanese-style compact room feel. This is not really a hotel where you are going to spend a lot of time relaxing in the room on vacation. It’s more of a place to sleep, clean up, and head back out into the city.
The staff, especially at the bar downstairs, were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. One thing to note is there is no coffee maker in the room, but there was plenty of coffee available downstairs, which worked out just fine.
The downstairs common area definitely has a unique and funky vibe. There were games and lounge-style spaces that made it feel more social and energetic than a traditional hotel lobby. If you enjoy a more modern, trendy atmosphere, you’ll probably like the overall feel of the property.
Overall, it was a solid stay for a business trip or conference where you mostly need a clean, convenient place to recharge between activities.

In my opinion, this hotel is not a good fit for the executive traveler for several reasons. The rooms are very small, barebones, and overall feel cheaply furnished. There are no closets, and the room itself feels about the size of one. The atmosphere also came across as a bit hostel-like rather than business-oriented.

The room amenities are excellent, and more importantly, for the DC area, this hotel offers great value for money. The surrounding area is also very safe, and it's not too far from public transportation stops, including supermarkets – mostly within walking distance. The hotel front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. You really get a taste of North American culture here, different from what you might find back home. If I get the chance to visit DC again, I'll definitely consider re-booking.

The room is small, with bunk beds, and the hotel is averagely clean! There is a bar on the top floor. If you live on a high floor, you can hear the noise from the bar upstairs!

The room is too small, even they can't put a table. If you have a big luggage, then your life will be squezzed. TV was in the wall but with totally strange position you can't watch properly due to lack of distance. Hot water pot was centrally provided in the lobby level, but most of the time was empty that you have to beg to front office for refill; there is no kettle in room. Bed mattress is like banana, you will sink in the middle, it can't hold your weight although you're a slim person.

Very good, early check-in, the lobby bar is very lively at night, very Moxy, there is also a gym, it feels great to work out with the view of snow, but the quilt is too thin and I would wake up from the cold.

Good octopus and eastern oysters. My colleague had the mussels with wild mushrooms and truffle cream. Both tasted excellent!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service, good value for money. Do you want more? We had oysters from california, octopus, steak tartare and a salad with smoked salmon. All were of great quality, well prepared and served. The atmpsphere of the brasserie invites you to enjoy the eating and drinking experience. Service is great, the people serving the drinks and the food know their wares and truly help with selections. Finally, the price is right.

Could not be happier with my experience here. My friend and I were a bit under dressed and were treated just the same as everyone else. The wait staff were not only knowledgeable but friendly and welcoming. The patio was beautiful and not overcrowded. The food was phenomenal and the beer was amazing. 10/10 would go again (dressed a little better next time)!

We went here for brunch to celebrate our anniversary and were so happy we picked this place.
1) Service = The service was great. A few mentioned that service wasn't so great but we did not find this to be the case. Ralph was extremely attentive. The bread was brought out warm and the butter was very easy to spread.
2) My husband ordered the classic mussels and biscuits and gravy and he says both were VERY good.
3) I ordered the steak frites and it was also very good. The steak was tender, the sauce was tasty, fries were crispy and the watercress was good.
4) Ambiance = Everything was nice, we sat outside for the lovely weather and had an umbrella for shade.
5) I recommend getting the bottomless mimosas!
