I’ve been in 2 star hotels that are nicer than this “4star” one. I’ve never paid so much money to have to check myself in and then be charged so many facility fees. For what? You don’t provide coffee, you don’t provide breakfast, you barely have parking, you don’t provide a suitable fridge or dresser in the room. Good for you, you have LED lights. Your tv isn’t modernized either. The shower was dirty when I walked in as was the floor and the halls.
Not to mention all over your website says “complimentary WiFi” but then you ask what the fees are for and they state “the WiFi” as far as I’m concerned that’s false advertising. Not to mention the in and out fee at the garage says 60 dollars, I just got charged $120. The desk did not confirm pricing when signing me up for this. I would have denied it as the sign on the garage said $60.

This hotel was awful. It charges a $35 per night “amenity” fee, hijacked via your incidentals deposit upon checking in. So called “amenities” do not include coffee in the room (it’s $6/cup in the lobby) or even bottled water. Pool was closed, gym was mid at best. Best advice: steer clear.

Coffee was not served until 7:30 AM, which as a hotel next to one of the main travel hubs in a downtown location where people are going to work is a little crazy. There was also nowhere to get coffee/breakfast near by other than the hotel. Front desk also sent us to the wrong room at first which caused us to go back downstairs. They are minor inconveniences, but added to the annoyance of our trip.

I have stayed at Yotel on 3 separate occasions and this last stay was my favorite! Everyone was kind, helpful, and friendly. The room and common space areas (lobby and downstairs bathroom) were spotless. It was a good vibe that was refreshing. And the location and price are hard to beat! Can't wait for my next stay at Yotel!

As evidenced by other reviews, this hotel will do everything they can to get money out of you and they do not care about losing customers. They would not even change a date of stay for me with two months advance notice, stating that I would have to rebook new dates, pay for it, and forfeit what I already paid. Never before have I encountered this with a hotel. They hook you with lower rates and once they get you, it’s extra fees and absolutely no changes or you lose your money.
There’s plenty of other Capitol Hill area hotels. I recommend booking at one of these and avoid Yotel at all costs.
UPDATE: No, Matt, the third party booking site stated that they would modify the reservation and they called you to make the change, but you refused. I have the emails to prove it. You just lied. You could have easily made this accommodation, kept a customer, and prevented yet another terrible review, but you chose not to.

If you enjoy waking on the weekends with no coffee anywhere on the premises (not your room, not on your floor, not in the lobby), like hearing the person in the room next to you raise and lower their blinds thanks to the paper thin walls, and prefer to use the bathroom with only a shortened glass door dividing the toilet from the rest of the room so that everyone can enjoy the experience of you using the restroom, look no further than the Yotel in Washington, DC! Did I mention you are directly next door to a fire station? Bonus!
The room was exceptionally clean, the proximity to major DC attractions like the monuments and union station was convenient and the price was good but the no coffee and the paper thin walls (they should offer ear plugs and provide a noise machine) was unacceptable.

The hotel's location is fantastic, within 10 minutes of both Union Station and the Capitol Building, and the surrounding area feels safe and quiet. The facilities are very new, the room is spacious, and it has a really high-tech feel. There are interactive games in the lobby, the bed can be adjusted automatically, and there are ambient lights where you can choose the color. The only slight inconvenience is that breakfast isn't readily available and you have to go to Union Station to get it.

This was our first visit to Washington, DC, and we truly enjoyed it. Bonji made our experience exceptional with his warm welcome and big smile he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. He provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed.
The room was clean and well maintained, which added to our comfort. I would also like to commend the lady at the bar, who was amazing, and honestly, the coffee was the best I’ve ever had.
I would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again in the future.

I stayed at the Liaison Capitol Hill from June 7-10, 2017. While staying there I had breakfast at Art & Soul Café on June 9. The breakfast with tip was $10 and I charged it to my MasterCard. When my MasterCard statement came I noticed I was charged $10 twice. I called them about 4 times and even talked to their book keeping person. She said she will get back to me, but never did.

Amazing food! A bit over priced though. We brought our dog, Shadow and sat on the patio. They had a doggy menu so we got our dog the steak off of it and they brought it out in a bowl that thy had wrote his name on. They also brought him a bowl of water. He LOVED it!!!! He ate it in 3 minutes flat. We will definitely be going here again but only for special occasions due to the price.

My family made a reservation here for Thanksgiving dinner. There were eleven of us. One member of our party had a minor emergency en route to the restaurant and was delayed ~45 minutes, they would not seat the rest of us until the full party arrived. They also refused to seat us together. We sat at two separate tables of 6. We did notice other diners seated together in large groups of 8-12.
The food was good, but for $60/person I expected better. Certain dishes were exceptional, some were sub par, some were average. There was nothing we couldnt have made at home. Many of us paid extra for the prime rib and found it tough and dry. I think the desserts were the high point for most of our party.
The table service was excellent and our server was polite and conscientious. .
When we made the reservation, we were told it included something to take a way-- some sort of extra sandwich, in a doggy bag, or similar. As we were getting to leave, we asked, and were told "we did that previous years, but not this year".
We do not plan to go back.

When it comes to Brandon Kelly's Irish Times located near Union Station and next to The Dubliner this place attracts the College rowdy crowd with live entertainment playing the best Irish songs. Drinks are reasonable, great staff and fast service, awesome food can't help but enjoy yourself.

This is a great little Pub to come in and have a quiet lunch or come in later for some "noisy" drinking. It is in a great location. Food is good pub food, although a $10 hamburger and $7.50 beer seems a little high sometimes. But, it is DC and those are normal prices for this place.

Had a great time. The food portions were amazing..abundant..definitely shareable. Not a five due to very small things like missing a chair at the table and needing utensils. I want to add half a star. Prices are decent too!

Worst Irish food I have ever tasted. The Guinness burger is unseasoned and to charge $15 for a patty hash brown and cheese sauce smothered in onion rings fried with fish oil is most definitely an embarrassment to Ireland. The rest of our party had the Irish stew which consisted in one piece of tough stewing meat and a bowl of boiled potatoes and carrots which was covered in a gravy tasting of liver. Needless to say everyone had food poisoning within 45 mins. Made for a delightful visit to Washington

The fish and chips as well as the Shepard's pie were very flavorful. The Dubliner Amber Ale also had a good amount of flavor to it as well. The waitress we had was very attentive and split the order between my friend and I because we were torn between the two entrees we ordered. Overall, great experience!
