Hotel Xabibi in Bukhara

Should be the worst hostel ever I have been, as the cleaner had stealt my money that I did put in my luggage. Lost all the trust.

The only good thing about the room was that it was relatively clean. The bed linen was old and didn't fit the bed; it kept slipping off, and the mattress was unpleasant. The shower was dirty. There were only two soaps and two shampoos in a small sachet that didn't lather, and it was very small, even though it was only enough for three people. Another comment about the breakfast. Because it was chilly in the morning, breakfast was moved to what was essentially the master kitchen, and it looked untidy. On the first morning, we were served breakfast for two, even though there were three of us. When I asked, "Why two plates? There are three of us?", they opened the cupboard and pointed to the plates for me to take a third. However, they didn't add any more food. After reviewing the breakfast, we decided there wasn't much to ask for, as it was more than modest. In the photo, there were slippers in the rooms, but in reality, there weren't. The girl checking us in wasn't aware we were coming. Upon check-in and after, they didn't even ask for our passports. Before check-in and payment, they were active and quick to respond via messenger, but after booking, they only read messages but didn't respond. We had three questions. The first was about a late check-out—they didn't answer, but they did pop into the room several times starting at 11 a.m. without knocking. The second question was about breakfast on the second morning—they didn't serve it, the kitchen was closed, and the lights were off, even though they'd asked us what time it would be served the day before. The third question was about resolving a noise issue. That evening, at almost 10 p.m., several men checked into this guesthouse. They were talking very loudly, swearing loudly, and discussing how many drinks they'd had and how many times they'd sobered up. We understood from a call from one of the men that they were friends of the owners. They were talking about replacing the mattress. Judging by the sounds, they started replacing it immediately after the call. The message about the noise was also read, but no response was given.

After staying for two days, the owner took our money but didn't give us a registration slip. He even wrote a handwritten one to fool us. I checked out, and when I contacted him again, he blocked me on WhatsApp. So ruthless! Avoid this hotel!

Even though the room rate clearly included breakfast, when I asked him about it, he'd raised the price by 10,000 som.

I paid the same as the website price, and taxes were added. This owner is dishonest. He clearly promised to register us, but after we checked out, I couldn't contact him anymore, and there was no one at the front desk that morning.

Avoid this dishonest hotel and the manager of this hotel. He agreed to register us, but after we paid and checked out, he pretended not to know and blocked me on WhatsApp.

After I paid and confirmed my registration, look what he sent me now. First, he sent me the Indian tourist's information, then pretended not to know I'd stayed, then sent me a handwritten note, and finally blocked me. I pressed him for six days, but he still hadn't sent it to me.

I paid exactly the price shown on the website, including tax.

The hotel is located in the historic part of the city, not far from Lyabi Hauz. You can't get to the hotel by car; you'll have to park in the lot across the street and walk to the hotel with your suitcase. We booked a room through Booking.com and waited a very long time for anyone to show up at reception. When we were finally met and shown to our room, it turned out to be completely different from the one we'd booked; there were no other rooms available. Why would we have posted such deliberately false information on Booking? We'd simply wasted our time.
