Where to stay in Bukhara

The hotel is not that far from some of the historical places such as Ark, Toq Zargaran, Kalon Mosque etc. The hotel is cheap (around 20 dollars for a two bed room including breakfast). Laundry service is also available but you have to pay around 2 dollars for it. The hotel does not have proper shower as expected. When you shower, the water is splashed on the side which covers the floor of the bathroom...

This hotel is an okay place to stay for a few nights. Friendly staff and good location. The breakfast was rich: bread, fruits, chai, coffee and sausages BUT the bathroom was not clean at all. Dirty toilet is a no go!

This hotel was renovated from the mansion of a wealthy man in the 19th century. I was impressed to hear that the receptionist was studying Japanese. The building's design, including the atmospheric courtyard, was excellent. The rooms may look old, but the bathrooms have been renovated and are clean. Disposable slippers are provided. Small family run hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are basic and in decent condition. However when you turn off the lights you see a greed LED. This is annoying when tying to fall asleep especially when it randomly flashes. No baby cot. Fantastic location. Walking distance to most places. Basic breakfast. If I ever come back to Bukhara, I'll definitely book this hotel again. It's beautiful, clean, and right in the heart of the old city, making it super easy to pop back after a stroll. The breakfasts are incredibly delicious, and the coffee is excellent (they use whole beans!). You can even buy drinks and alcohol at the reception.

I liked the hotel. The location is excellent; literally two buildings away, you're in the center of the historic city. Shokh was a friendly guy upon check-in. Conveniently located right in the center of the Old Town, the interior has a national flavor. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts. There's a summer rooftop terrace. However, be aware that the hotel has steep stairs and no elevator.

Excellent location, great breakfasts served on the terrace, reliable Wi-Fi, and hot water. All the main attractions and the market are just a 5-10 minute walk away. The owners' eldest daughter is very attentive and speaks both English and Russian, which was a great help. The location is very convenient, right at the entrance to the old town. While many accommodations in the old town are inaccessible by taxi, this accommodation is just within easy reach. I also left something in a Yandex Go taxi. The host kindly helped me speak to the Yandex driver (you can call via the app, but the driver only speaks the local language), and I was able to retrieve my lost item.

Very pleasant stay, at a great location - a quiet alley, two minutes from Lyabi Khouse. We arrived late, and were given bread and water, which made us feel very welcome. Very good location one minute walk from Lyabi-Hauz. It is a guesthouse with very few rooms but very clean, with air conditioning, wifi, shampoo and gel.... The person at the reception doesn't know English but with the Google Translator we could understand each other perfectly and he was always attentive to what we needed. Stayed here as a part of Uzbekistan trip through global connect tours. Advantage of this hotel is it is on the main road hence motorable , yet closed to all the historic sites and restaurants. The farthest site ark fortress is 1.5 kms by walk and 30 mins . Breakfast was very basic. Hotel appeared new built in may 2025

No curtain on the door.. also noisy because of the patio until late evening but rooms are clean and there is a good choice of good for breakfast. I guess some improvements are needed for this new hotel: insolation and curtains at least!

The people here are wonderful. They stayed up for my late arrival and had breakfast out for everyone in the morning. Rooms are nice and big, plenty for several people. The location couldn't be better. Just one street from the main activity, yet hidden well enough to keep the city noise down so you can sleep well.
