I had an amazing experience at this hotel on the 10-11th October 2025 The hotel was amazing and the reception was fantastic The guy in the reception was polite and very helpful with arranging a lift or ordering a taxi. The hotel is in a walking distance to the airport. Since our flight was early in the morning, our breakfast was packed in a lunch box and we had coffee to go between 3 and 6 am. I highly...
Excellent hotel for a restful sleep. Walking distance to the airport. The rooms were so quiet we slept like babies. The hotel es super clean with very comfortable beds. A big thank you to the staff who are very professional and friendly. The young lady at the breakfast area is super sweet and helpful. Simply go for it, book this place!
Perfect for the airport, walking distance so no taxi needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good.
Perfect hotel in Samarkand if you want to be near the airport. The rooms are very new, nicely decorated, European style. Most comfortable beds we had in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. We stayed twice, one night each. We looked forward to getting back the second time. The Lux room is spacious and indeed feels luxurious. The regular room is smaller but also nice and comfortable. The staff were awesome...
Excellent Stay at Qadim Hotel! Qadim Hotel is a perfect blend of tradition and modern comfort. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the ambiance is both elegant and relaxing. The food is delicious, and the attention to detail makes for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommend!
Imade a last minute reservation for a very good price as we had a night flight to Izmir. The hotel has an excellent location in just 5-6minites walk from the airport. There's a supermarket nearby with huge varieties. The rooms are beautiful, clean we liked them. There's floor heating in the bathroom. You can order food and have it their restaurant. The negatives are 1-poor WiFi for TV, you can't watch...

The reception guy was very nice, polite and very helpful.  The service was excellent and we also used the laundry service which was very affordable
Everything was great, I enjoyed everything, and the breakfasts were delicious. It's located close to Shah-i-Zinda, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Good family hotel. The service was very pleasant. Breakfast was hearty. In the room with 2 single beds on the ground floor, the window view wasn't great (it faced the courtyard). Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Our home away from home. It for me is one of the best places to stay in Samarkand. Our host Zafar was the kindest person. If I could I'd live here. Thank you for making my wife and I's stay here so memorable.
The hotel's location is super convenient! It's about a 10-minute walk to the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, and a quick taxi ride to Registan Square. Plus, there's a supermarket nearby, which is great for picking up essentials. A special shout-out to Zafar – his excellent service and warm hospitality made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, fantastic value for money!
We chose this hotel based on reviews, and everything was exactly as other guests described. The staff was incredibly polite; every request or wish was handled quickly and with a smile. They even offered us a choice of rooms. Breakfast was perfectly satisfying: boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelets, porridge, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables. There was also a good selection of bread, pastries, sweets, and...

We spent 2 1/2 weeks at the Amir Plaza in late Nov/early Dec 2025. We were in Uzbekistan for the first time, and were part of a large (20 people +) contingent staying at the hotel, during the CITES CoP. What a wonderful experience we had. The hotel owner, his staff, and his family all went out of their way to give the group an exceptional experience. Affordable, friendly service, clean spaces throughout...
I came to Samarkand for business trip and found this Hotel is very great value for short period of stay with great location, not in the city therefore you can avoid heavy traffic and easy to outside of the city.
Rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is very kind and efficient. Very good location near shops.

The hotel has no elevator; you can only go up to the third floor by stairs.
Excellent hotel for our nights in Samarkand. Very friendly staff who seemingly kept the hotel open only for us when it seemed like we were the only guests for the first night we stayed here. They were able to help with any request we had and I would stay here again if I ever come back to Samarkand.
The people there worked very hard to accommodate us and help arrange day trips that were fairly last minute. The breakfast buffet was one of the better ones in my three weeks in Uzbekistan. It is a bit further from centre, but still walkable and has the Alisher Navoi pedestrian street right next to it, so that helped a lot with many dining options even late into the eve. Perfect small hotel just next to the Registan square. It’s only 300-400 meters walk from the most visited place in Samarkand. The staff are nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great!!!
Great stay! The location is just a short walk from the Registan square but on a quiet street. The rooms are nicely decorated and everything was sparkling clean. Comfy beds as well and the breakfast was absolute perfection. The entire team I interacted with was very helpful and friendly. Truly, can’t fault this place and would happily return.
Excellent staff, very helpful polite and pleasant. The hotel is very well kept and clean. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Bathroom was unbelievably clean. Breakfast was perfect with lots of different selections and delicious fresh foods and fruits. Would definitely recommend this place. This is family run hotel and you can see that there is pride in talking care of their place.
What a stunning hotel, conveniently situated within walking distance of Registan Square. What's even more remarkable is the hospitality shown by the staff (Amirjon, Bekzod and forgot to get the name of the guy who helped us with the luggage) and the owner, Shahzoda. Stayed here for 2 nights in a Triple Room with a view. Paid RM 411 (USD 100 cash) including breakfast. The hotel is family-run, feels like a converted home, and has a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. These folks are awesome. I had a family emergency and they allowed me to pay just the nights stayed. I greatly appreciate that. The rooms are clean and large enough for two people. The AC works quite well. The location is absolutely perfect. It puts you right in the middle of the tourist attractions. The breakfasts are quite nice and are changed up a bit each day.
Great location, very kind & helpful English-speaking hosts (they helped us with organizing a trip to Tajikistan, we’re really grateful for it), beautiful interior, cool rooftop view, tasty breakfast—not gonna lie, it was a pleasure to stay there :)
Wonderful family ran hotel. Spacious room that was very clean and comfortable. Delicious fresh breakfast. Perfect location for exploring Samarkand. Special thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcome. Highly recommended if you’re trying to pick a hotel in Samarkand.
To begin with, there is a beautiful view from the hotel rooftop, of the Amir Temur Mausoleum. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the owners were very friendly and hospitable. The place includes breakfast and it is something to not miss! The foods they serve for breakfast were very delicious and sufficient for you to start the day!
staff if friendly although English is not quite commonly understood, location is very convenient, just opposite Amir Temur mausoleum and a short walk to the Registan, rooms are quite small but clean, the place is a cosy family guesthouse.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. the hotel is centrally located and near to may key venues in Samarkand. good support from the staff and enjoyed the stay. was a good touch to have bottles of water available able to guests. The room was Ok maybe a bit small for me but not too bad decor was of a good standard.
I was a little scared to go here, it was part of a group travel. So the room is really basic, but the bed is quite ok. Good is the staff in the entire hotel, restaurant etc etc. Food is way better than expected for breakfast. So, very satisfied for a “simple” hotel.
What a great hotel ... big enough to have everything you needed, but still maintained that wonderful Uzbek atmosphere of hospitality and friendship. The reception staff were inviting, the rooms were spacious and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

The room was very nice, as was the bathroom. The location was very quiet, and I slept very well (the only slight downside was the constant noise from the two fog machines in the room). Breakfast was good, and the pool and the surrounding area were also very nice. The manager kindly cleaned my room an hour before the scheduled time. The location isn't ideal, but that didn't bother me.
Great hotel with a very friendly staff. They will provide whatever you needed. Good breakfast though it same everyday especially this strawberry jam. The room itself was clean and in a good condition. Breakfast was a set meal yet a substantial one. Bathroom was a bit smelly, which unfortunately seems to be the norm in Uzbekistan. I chose the hotel because of the pool and the jacuzzi and they are not in operation, there is nothing nearby, always going to and from any point by taxi, the breakfast was good, varied and abundant, although the next day the same thing was repeated, the room as expected, it is clean and the receptionist is attentive

The hotel is in a beautiful refurbished 19th century mansion. After weeks of budget accommodation we splurged on a junior suite and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are most helpful and kind and the beds are comfortable. Absolutely worth it
I really liked the hotel! The location is great: it's quiet, yet close to all the main attractions, including Registan Square. It's easy to walk, and there are ATMs, cafes, and shops nearby. The hotel is located in a tourist area in the city center. Nearby are many historical sites and the university boulevard with a wide park and fountains. My friend Naderkhan is a review fanatic so I had to leave this. Great new hotel. We traveled with a group of over 25 people from NY with full families ranging in different ages and everyone loved this hotel. AC in our room needed to be replaced, but they supplied a fan. They're trying to add new AC to all rooms, but it's physically hard with the architecture. Try to get a room with new AC.
We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our tour. The hotel is in a quiet backstreet and looks a bit dodgy to walk around but turned out to be fine once you don’t judge by European standards. There are so many ants, I almost became Ant-Man. There are ants on the floor, on the bed, and on the table. Ants, ants, ants, ants, I almost went crazy. If you want to sleep with ants, I recommend it. And there was muddy, yellow water.
They were kind enough to store my luggage before check-in. It was easily accessible from Registan Square, so I was able to easily go see the sunrise in the morning. The hotel was clean, and the shower room had a door instead of a curtain, which was comfortable. The front desk staff were also very helpful. It's a shame that my train was early and I couldn't have breakfast.

This was our best hotel in Uzbekistan! The room was big with high ceilings and everything was very clean. The staff at the front desk were helpful and the breakfast was very good, with lots of different options. If I returned to Samarkand, I would book Diyor Gold again without a second thought.
Friendly guesthouse with large comfortable room, lots of closet space. Even though our room faced the street, it was quiet. Nice bathroom with towel warmer. Good breakfast with many options. We had our laundry done at a low price. Delicious samsas place nearby. 20 plus minutes walking to Registan.
Hotel Dior Gold in Samarkand is a remarkable experience for us. The hotel stay was beyond our expectations and we three families enjoyed the stay very well. We are very happy with their exceptional hospitality and attentive staff, especially the person in the reception surprised us with his guest hospitality Overall, a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication for an unforgettable stay.
Great hotel for sightseeing in Samarkand. About 20 minutes walk to main tourist attractions. Rooms are clean and new. Really nice people working there. Great local restaurants near by (away from tourist traps). Our favourite is the samsa down the road.
The place is beautiful. Loved the service. We wanted to check in a bit earlier that day. They were nice enough to accommodate for that with no issue. The rooms were warm (weather was cold ~17-20C).
