Golden Camel Registan Boutique hotel, Samarkand1 / 16
8.3
Samarkand, Omar Khayyam Street, 7A (in the centre) 🧭 Map
They were kind enough to store my luggage before check-in. It was easily accessible from Registan Square, so I was able to easily go see the sunrise in the morning. The hotel was clean, and the shower room had a door instead of a curtain, which was comfortable. The front desk staff were also very helpful. It's a shame that my train was early and I couldn't have breakfast.
The owner was friendly. It was a three-bedroom, but the room was small, so there wasn't enough space to open my suitcase. There were some ants on the breakfast table. Don't eat the cereal. You can try the ant cereal.
Location is the best. It's very close with registan. And employees are kind.
I stayed at Registan Gold Hotel and overall had a decent experience. Positive aspects: • The staff allowed me to check in earlier than the official 14:00 time, which was very convenient. • The bed was large and extremely comfortable. • Excellent location – only 5–10 minutes walking from Registan Square and other main attractions. • Staff members speaking Turkish made communication easier. Areas...
The location, price, food, cleanliness, and quietness from Registan are all excellent. I recommend this as a place to stay for a two-day, one-night tour. It's especially great for viewing the Registan at night, the highlight of any Samarkand tour.
It's really convenient to be able to walk to places like Registan Square. However, it's located down an alley and can be a bit difficult to find. There seems to be more than one way to write the address, so I was a bit worried about using a ride-hailing app. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and when I explained my discomfort in the room, they changed me. Breakfast was very delicious. -★2 The...

Had a lovely stay over four nights. the room matches photos on booking.com. Inside the room, the desk looking over the inner garden as well as the fridge really made it comfortable for escaping the heat during the day in summer. Quiet yet convenient location in a traditional mahalla. Staff are friendly, and spoke English well. Solo female traveller felt very safe and respected. Really good value for...
The hotel is easy to reach from the train station by tram 2 and is close to the Siyob market. It's a traditional hotel and our smallish room looked like a fairytale with velvet and bright colours. The bed was quite hard, and the original sheets too small until we asked for bigger ones. The shower was old and the water not always hot. Breakfast was okay, staff very friendly.
I made a last minute booking at Hotel Kamila in Samarkand. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and comfort of the service. Despite the suddenness of my stay, the staff was friendly and attentive to my needs. The room, although basic, was clean and comfortable, allowing for a comfortable stay during my stay. The location was convenient, allowing for easy access to nearby attractions when I felt...
Decent place, the location was good with respect to sights to see. We didn't have water and the breakfast was so so. The rooms and bathrooms are very small. They do have a beautiful terrace though, overlooking the city, which is something you generally don't get.

Amazing place, delicious breakfast, most importantly clean bed linen, towels, all perfectly white, overall 100% clean, pleasant staff, good location, I recommend it to anyone who values low price and high quality
I liked the Vostok Hotel. The breakfast was excellent. It was clean. No odors.
A nice, new hotel. Everything is very clean and cozy. Excellent firm mattress. Delicious breakfast: choice of porridge or scrambled eggs, tea/coffee, sweets or pancakes, and there were grapes and jam. They're very accommodating with small requests, which is a nice touch. The staff speaks good Russian. A small drawback (nothing is perfect, after all) is the presence of a nightclub in the basement of...

Nice hotel with a great location. Friendly and a nice place to stay.
Great location next to the historic square. Rooms good, not super modern but functional, loads of hot water. Breakfast had a great choice and they can make eggs etc on demand. Rooftop had a lovely view. The best thing were the guys working on the main desk, friendly helpful and cheerful. I had to visit a pharmacy while there and they kindly helped me translate what I needed and checked I had bought...
Overall, this is a nice hotel. But what makes it wonderful is the location. The breakfast room and terrace literally overlook the registan from the back. It is a short walk through a nice park to get to the registan entrance. We stayed here the first two nights we were in Uzbekistan. It was a perfect place to deal with jet lag because while we were tired and didn't want to go out too much in the evening...
Good option next to the Registan Great location. Very good service. Wonderful breakfast. Need to upgrade bathrooms.
Hotel Minor is a great option for staying in Samarkand. Rooms are clean and comfortable, location is great, and the staff is kind, responsive, and respectful. The rooms are indeed a little old, but the amazing rooftop, delicious breakfast, and generosity of the staff make up for it.
Great hotel, very central, great staff Hotel located next to Registan square. Very nice rooftop terrace with beautiful view of the square. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The courtyard setting for meals and relaxing makes this old, traditional house hugely atmospheric. Run by the enthusiastic owner, it caters mainly for small groups of French tourists and independent travellers of all ages. Rooms comfortable and adequate. Can be a little noisy if other guest stay up late talking. Typical Uzbek breakfasts, with lots of fruit, yogurt and eggs. Located in a quiet area...
This is a very very nice hotel with great atmosphere. The owner was extremely helpfull and managed to regain my mobilephone lost in a taxi through endless negotiations. What a helpfull man 😊 Room are nice and clean, breakfast is Well server - everything is totally fine 😊
Absolutely loved the experience! Please note that this is an authentic hotel, it is not your usual 5-star Western hotel that one might expect from it. It is not an Ibis or Ramada. I booked through Telegram through friends' recommendation. The owner/manager was super helpful, arranged me taxis, booked restaurants, helped me with the train tickets even. The rooms are pretty basic, they have the aircon...
Comfy beds, building had loads of character, owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, fabulous breakfast. Bathroom a little rickety - toilet didn't always flush properly and shower covered the bathroom floor! otherwise would have been a 5-star review. Part of the building was under renovation at the time of our stay, but this didn't cause us any issues whatsoever and we were pleased to see this...
Hotel has nice rooms, a beautiful courtyard and provides delicious home made breakfasts. Aziz is a great host and makes the best plov we’ve had in Uzbekistan!
We had a great time with Aziz, he was a great host. Breakfast was amazing and we had his Plov cooked by Aziz. Place is very central, walking distance from main attractions

Above all our stays in Uzbekistan. Big and comfortable room. Very good location. Great breakfast with many options and the best, the staff was very nice, communicative and helpful.
We had a lovely visit to Samarkand and Hotel Silver Rows. It’s a small family run hotel a stone’s throw from Registan Square. The location could not be better! Our rooms were huge (and clean) with plenty of storage and places to put things. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was helpful for cold water, fruit, etc. the AC unit worked well and the WiFi was fine, not super fast but okay...
Stayed for 2 nights - room 201, well worth the extra for the balcony - great view across to the Registan. Spotlessly clean & comfortable with high quality furniture, good bed, bedding & ample hot water in shower. Family run & it shows in the level of hospitality - breakfast superb (served at table). However main plus point is the location - am not sure there is a nearer hotel/guesthouse to the Registan...

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Safar in Samarkand. The cozy, home-like atmosphere created by the host—who is also the owner—made our visit feel very special. Cozy place in a quiet area. Not far from the famous monuments (15 min walking). It offers a very individualized treat because rooms are very limited in number! Kind personnel, nice and big rooms, nice breakfast and silent! Only thing to improve is the wifi conexion (a bit slow). But I give them 5 points.
