KARAVAN HOTEL in Khiva

We spent 14 days in Uzbekistan, and this was by far the worst hotel of our entire trip.

Facilites, rooms and cleanliness: The carpet was visibly dirty, seemed not to have been renewed in decades, and was full of dust – a serious issue for anyone with allergies.

Restaurant: We asked if dinner was available and were told yes, but the only options were soup or chicken, nothing else. Breakfast was also very limited and lacked variety.

Facilities: The information about the swimming pool is misleading. It is actually located in the middle of a room, it is not free, and you have to pay extra to use it. The same applies to the sauna.

Service: When paying for the final expenses, staff took my credit card and directly asked me for the PIN so they could enter it themselves, which is completely inappropriate and unsafe. Of course, I said I put It myself. Little knowledge of the sector.

Language: No English is spoken, which makes communication very difficult for international tourists.

The price does not reflect the poor quality of the services. In conclusion, we cannot recommend this hotel for foreign travelers.

Dirty corridors with dirty carpets. Shower and toilet smell bad. Seems never cleaned recently. We ordered beverages and took long time and were hot. Never ever visit there again!!!
