Fantastic hotel with great service. The hotel is huge and the bedroom spacious. Great breakfast with attentive staff. The hotel is very quiet. They have nice heated pool and sauna. Nobody was there and we had great time in the pool. It was open till late about 9pm.

Very good hotel, one of the best during our trip around whole Uzbekistan. Location is not central - this is a minus, but not big. Everything else is very good. Polite and helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. Very quiet! Comfortable beds, very good breakfast. Good Turkish restaurant.

Great location in the middle of the walled city. Highly recommend it.

Pros - location is perfect for seeing all the sites in Khiva. Staff spoke good English and were extremely helpful. Rooftop terrace is perfect place to have a drink. Cons - Breakfast was poor. Plumbing is ineffective guests are asked not to put paper down toilet but in bin next to toilet as it easily gets blocked. Access to rooftop terrace is by winding stairs which would be difficult for infirm.

I liked this hotel mainly because of its location. There's simply not a better location in all of Khiva. I'm really between 3 and 4 stars here for a couple of reasons: 1) The breakfast is served in a location apart from the rooftop terrace, which I never even saw a way to access. The rooftop terrace has no bar or restaurant, and breakfast is the only thing served here - yet not even on the rooftop...

One of the best hotels in Khiva!!

Good location in the old city. All attractions are within walking distance. The rooftop terraces provide a good view. Room is small and furnitures are dated, but acceptable, breakfast buffet average with limited selection. Overall not too bad but expensive for what’s on offer.

Impressive entrance. No lift. So choose groundfloor rooms if you have lots of luggage. Did not try the pool as it was too hot during my stay. There were no umbrellas / no shade. Very friendly staff. Only a few hundred metres walking distance away from the northern gate via a park. Choose rooms with balcony / pool ans city views.

Clean rooms, hearty excellent breakfast, service at a good level. The great location makes this hotel one of the best for those tourists who decided to explore Khiva and are accustomed to comfort.

What wonderful service! Very clean, modern and spacious. We stayed here during our visit to Khiva and it was perfect. 5 mins walk to the old city walls, the hotel is very new and a great place to relax after traveling and sight seeing, plus our rooms had a terrace with a good view of the old city walls. The owner Lola was very attentive to our needs and the breakfast was great. Highly recommend!

I wasn’t a guest but was welcomed as an esteemed traveller. I was able to enjoy the incredible Uzbek hospitality. The sophisticated dishes I tried here were by far the most exquisite I have tasted in Uzbekistan. The staff is fluent in English and very competent. I must come back!

This hotel is new and quite nice. The rooms are clean and the staff are attentive. When we arrived, we were invited to an evening performance by the manager, Islam. The evening was a lot of fun and very memorable. If we return to Urgench, we will plan to stay at Hotel Karavan again.

This is my second stay at the Orient Star in Khiva. I would choose this hotel over and over again mainly because of the location; it has the best location in Khiva. The facilities are basic but you will still have a very comfortable stay for 2 or 3 nights. The breakfast is pretty average but it’s not the worst out there. Lovely boutique hotel conveniently located within the city walls. Bedrooms are in old student rooms of the old madrasa overlooking a central courtyard. Breakfast was usual buffet table and located across the road in separate building. A great town to visit.

The hotel is located right next to the Kalta minaret. We loved the view from our 1st floor room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the adjoining madrasa building. The steps are narrow and steep - caution for travellers with medical conditions to choose ground floor rooms. Overall, great location and hotel.

Very very nice stay at a very low price. It’s a gem when it comes to foreign tourists. They have a jacuzzi bath tub and the price is comparatively cheap for a foreigner it’s just 26 USD. Great deal. I stayed in ground floor.

The 3-star accommodation facility we stayed in in Khive city of Uzbekistan Being within walking distance to the historical area is a plus, but the beds are thin and there is no hair dryer or refrigerator in the rooms. The breakfast room is in the basement and is indoors. There is an inner garden and an outdoor seating area for smokers.

The hotel feels rundown. The whole place just felt like it just needs a bit more care and attention and it could be a very nice hotel. They weren't that busy when we stayed so it was fairly quiet. The location is quite close to the old town although options for places to eat nearby is not that great.

Closely located to railway station. Ichan Kala is 10 min from the hotel. There are couple of restaurants, banks and a mini market in 2 min walking distance. Very polite and friendly staff, always willing to help. Room service was great.

On February 23, we were given vouchers to Khiva from work, we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted very well, they gave everyone rooms, at the reception the guy met everyone very politely, explained the routine, the rooms are generally at the highest level, the bed is clean, the rooms are clean, the towels are all clean , very good service, dinner was ordered in the restaurant in the evening and another...

Excellent simple hotel in a great location in the center of Itchan Kala, the walled old city oh Khiva. Comfortable rooms, super friendly staff, good breakfast. Free wifi, sometimes slow, but this is normal in the country. Do not miss an early morning or sunset walk in the city, when the shops are.closed and the light is great.

We have stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Pretty new hotel with good rooms and decent breakfast, great location. With regards to the restaurant... we tried to order lunch in the outside area but this was refused (strangely enough) even though others were served food. We guessed it was because they were accommodating a big group inside the hotel.

The room was adequate, but the location just outside the West Gate was perfect. Breakfast and the hotel staff were both excellent .

We actually found this to be a more than suitable clean and friendly staff hotel. The best part about this is that it is located immediately opposite the old city and therefore in an ideal position to begin the exploration of the wonderful sites of Khiva.

Very comfy beds and duvets. The hotel is very well localised. We managed to walk everywhere by foot. The only issue we had was broken hair dryer. However everything else was good and clean.

Good prices and location, there many Topchan for a pleasant dinner. Almost no dishes go up to 20000 sun. Service is quite committed. Anyway a bit slow and as well as in other restaurant don't expect the dishes to arrive at the same time. French fries are good but the portion is small. 15% tips as service included, as well as all the uzbeck restaurant.

Lovely hotel in great location.

It's right near the north gate. The rooms are spacious, recently renovated, and the plumbing is clean. The towels are soft and thick and there is a bathtub too. There is cute paint on the walls and it is soothing.

We had a very good experience at Allanazar Ota Hotel! The rooms are clean, warm (in winter time) and confortable. The breakfast is very good with a lot of choices fruits etc. The owner is also very nice and really willing to help you during your stay! Location is excellent, I can only recommand!

It’s a new family run hotel, just opened, saw new delivery of mini fridges for rooms. It’s very clean & fresh, convenient location in old city. Papa speaks little English at the counter uses google translate. 2 daughters speak English help out at counter after school. Surprisingly it was 70yo+ grandpa at the counter when I check in, he took a photo of my passport and he called for a young guy to do...
