Fortune Hotel in Yerevan

Stayed for 3 nights in August 2025. 3 nights too long! The room was noisy, the air conditioning ineffective and the food terribly. The hotel is located in a neighbourhood where there are no shops or restaurants. Getting about is difficult if you do not have a car.

The only nice thing about the hotel is the price.

I had a reservation at Grand Fortune Hotel, Tairov Street, Yerevan, with the full amount paid in advance. It was my first time visiting Yerevan, and upon arrival at the hotel, I was suddenly told that the room I had already paid for was given to someone else—for a higher price. Instead of honoring my reservation, they offered to transfer me to another hotel and claimed they would cover the cost.

I trusted them and went to the new hotel, only to find out that the staff there had no idea about any arrangement and had not received any payment from Grand Fortune Hotel. I was expected to pay again. The hotel was so poor that we decided not to stay at all.

They refused to refund my money until I threatened to contact the police. They ignored my phone calls and wasted over 2.5 hours of my time, leaving me stranded in heavy rain, at night, in a foreign country and unfamiliar city.

If you don’t want to go through a nightmare, do not stay at this hotel. They are dishonest and manipulative. This was a terrible experience and they should be ashamed of the way they treated a visitor—it was a disgrace to the country. I was in Yerevan for only two days on a business trip, and they completely ruined it.
