This is an old-school five-star hotel with a distinct regal charm. While the style might feel a bit dated, it exudes a sense of grandeur everywhere you look! The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and impeccably clean, and the service is excellent. Plus, there's a charming, antiquated courtyard.

When I'm traveling, if I'm ever unsure, I always go for a Shangri-La executive room, and it never disappoints. Shangri-La truly lives up to its name; the facilities are impeccably maintained, and the attention to detail is something you have to see for yourself. We checked in directly at the lounge, where Front Desk staffer Yuan Xiaofan was incredibly welcoming and arranged for an extra bed since we had our child with us. Executive Lounge Manager Ms. Li Rongbo even thoughtfully upgraded our room type for the whole family.

The hotel service, as always, was professional and meticulous. The staff were patient, thoughtful, and enthusiastic. Even before check-in, the hotel departments noticed from the booking that there would be children staying, so they decorated the room in a child-friendly way early on, with all sorts of children's amenities readily available, and even bananas among the welcome fruit, which kids love. Both during check-in and check-out, we encountered Miss Sun Yue. She's an excellent employee who can consider issues from the customer's perspective, quickly come up with solutions, and resolve problems efficiently. Although this stay was very satisfying, there's one detail I hope the hotel management pays attention to. There's a sign at the entrance of the executive lounge clearly stating that guests in inappropriate attire or disposable slippers are not allowed. However, during afternoon tea and breakfast, a few guests who disregarded this rule still entered, which certainly affected other guests and made the sign seem pointless.

The location is great, not far from both bus and subway stations. The hotel itself is very grand, with various sections, and it's a popular choice for many old Beijingers to host wedding banquets. As a long-standing hotel, it boasts an entire back garden, along with options like a Michelin restaurant, a garden bar, and a lobby lounge.

The room was very clean and tidy. Anais provided excellent and enthusiastic service, helping with license plate registration and extending our stay. The executive lounge was as good as ever. I'll definitely be back next time.

The hotel is a bit old and some rooms show their age, but the new wing is much newer. They gave a small gift to my child upon arrival, which was a nice touch. We booked a family room in the new wing, and the complimentary lounge access was a great perk. It was perfect for our little one who eats small meals frequently, as we could grab sandwiches anytime so they wouldn't go hungry. Overall, we had a good experience.

I chose the Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing for my trip with my parents, and our experience was excellent. First, I'd like to thank Daisy at the front desk for her incredibly warm welcome. She gave us a detailed introduction to the hotel. Due to some confusion during booking, our original room type was across two different buildings, but Daisy helped us upgrade to the new wing at a discounted rate. She clearly explained the differences between the two buildings and the executive lounge hours. She was very patient and meticulous! 😊

Even before I set off, I received a warm call from Ruby in the hotel's guest relations department, asking about my arrival time and check-in preferences. This kind of pre-communication made me feel at ease before I even left home, knowing everything was prepared. The welcome fruit was a thoughtful touch. To be honest, the room facilities do show their age, reflecting a classic, 'old-school' style, but they were clean and tidy, and the space was quite generous.
