Our experience at Capella Tufu Bay was absolutely amazing!! Huge thanks for the suite upgrade – the room was incredibly spacious with a stunning view! A big shout-out to Linda for her excellent service! She was always quick to respond and resolve any issues. It was my birthday during our stay, and they even arranged a birthday cake and desserts – we had such a wonderful time! The hotel itself is beautiful, with picturesque scenery at every turn. The garden landscaping is simply magnificent, making every photo opportunity perfect. The Thai restaurant at the hotel was also delicious and highly recommended! We will definitely choose Capella again for our next stay. Five-star review!!!!

Planning a trip to Sanya, Hainan, I browsed online reviews and saw that Capella Sanya was consistently praised as a top-tier hotel, so I decided to book it. My stay from April 19th to April 22nd, though brief, left me with wonderful, soul-nourishing memories.

The moment I stepped into the Capella lobby, I was instantly captivated by the magnificent scene. The dome was vast and grand, with water cascading down from above, forming a serene curtain and filling the space with its gentle murmur. Entering here, all my fatigue dissipated, leaving only a sense of peace and wonder.

Staying at this hotel felt like stepping into a painting. Whether strolling by the beach and pool or wandering along the dappled paths, every view was picturesque. Lush greenery intertwined with layered water features. It truly was “a view at every turn,” with every casual photo being wallpaper-worthy. I was completely immersed in the tranquil and luxurious resort atmosphere.

Even more memorable than the environment was the service. From the front desk to the butler, restaurant, and housekeeping staff, everyone had a genuine smile, a keen eye for detail, and a heart for guests. Any need was anticipated and addressed promptly and appropriately, often without me having to ask twice. Throughout my stay, I felt utterly pampered and comfortable.

Our room experience was an even greater surprise. The bedding was incredibly soft and silky, supportive yet plush. Lying down felt like being gently embraced by clouds, making sleep an absolute delight.

Capella has perfected every detail—the scenery, the service, the living experience—making it an impeccable, gently healing, unforgettable retreat. I will definitely be back next year! Finally, I want to extend another thank you to the hotel's travel and culture officer, Diana, for her meticulous care and attention during our three-day stay.

The hotel upgraded our suite to a villa with a private pool. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with the Western kitchen offering dishes from different countries – I particularly enjoyed the Singaporean fried noodles, bak kut teh, and teh tarik. Our butler, Diana, was incredibly responsive, replying to messages instantly. She even brought us refreshing herbal drinks and desserts, and the buggy service was always prompt. We also participated in an archery activity, and even though there were only two of us, they thoughtfully prepared water and towels beforehand. Overall, the service at Capella Sanya was even more impressive than at Capella Sydney. Any minor issues were quickly and satisfactorily resolved by the hotel and Diana. I will definitely be back.

Staying at Capella, time feels like it slows down. It's not just accommodation; it's an immersive retreat into oriental aesthetics. From the morning Tai Chi ceremony by the lobby's water curtain to sunset cocktails on the terrace in the evening, each day is perfectly filled with a sense of ritual. It feels as if you're cut off from the hustle and bustle, enjoying an exclusive sense of tranquility and relaxation.

Linda from the guest relations team was incredibly thoughtful! She found out my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and specifically helped us upgrade to a room with a better view. She also meticulously prepared flowers, a cake, and various snacks – we couldn't have been more delighted! 😆 It was such a special surprise and incredibly touching ~ thank you very much!!! During our two-night stay, every request was met, and she even helped me resolve a sudden small issue. She was both patient and professional!!! A huge, huge thank you to the lovely Linda for her assistance these past few days! Definitely a five-star review! 😘

Blown away! As a top luxury hotel, the service and ambiance definitely live up to the price, especially during the off-season. The pool wasn't overly crowded, hitting that sweet spot where it's lively enough without being jam-packed – a quiet yet not desolate vibe. The bedding was really distinctive; even for a rough guy like me, I could tell the difference – it was incredibly soft and skin-friendly. Our butler, Linda, was very polite and not only met every request but also enthusiastically brought us all sorts of treats (Qingbuliang, cakes, biscuits, etc.), which tasted pretty good. The hotel's restaurants also served authentic and delicious dishes. As for breakfast, it was absolutely top-tier, the best and most extensive I've ever had – staying here, it's easy to gain weight! If you want to avoid packing on pounds, you can swim 1000 meters in the heated semi-indoor pool, which is almost always empty. The room facilities are excellent; the push-button shower control is very convenient. There aren't many dining options nearby, so I recommend eating at the hotel or going to Haitang Bay. Areas for improvement: the TV remote was a bit clunky, and there weren't many movie choices. There was also a slight light leak under the door, so if you're sensitive to light, you might want to cover it with something. The beach and ocean were just average, I'd say mid-tier. It felt like a common blue; for those rare 'glass-like' seas with a green glow, you'd have to go to the Maldives. Of course, most beaches in Hainan fall into this range.

I chose this hotel because of the wide array of beach and sea activities it offers. The room was incredibly spacious, and the butler service was exceptional. I have no idea how our butler, Linda, managed to be available 24/7; even when I requested a car to the beach early in the morning, someone was always there to respond. The hotel has a high occupancy rate, so I recommend avoiding peak hours for breakfast.

The Thai restaurant felt like neither the chef nor the staff had ever been to Thailand. It served a 'modified' version of Thai food that wasn't very authentic, with very mild spice flavors. However, the grilled fish and grilled chicken were excellent, and the coconut jelly dessert was delicious. The curry chicken and spicy stir-fried morning glory could use some improvement.

The Chinese restaurant, on the other hand, was very good, with tender and flavorful chicken and fish. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious, with a 'beef noodle freedom' concept allowing you to add as much beef as you like, and the oatmeal was also great. The staff consistently refilled dishes, ensuring that nothing was empty regardless of how many people were dining. The hotel grounds are vast, with many activities on offer, so much so that I didn't even have time to try them all. It was a shame that we couldn't go sailing due to the strong winds and rough waves near the shore.

I feel that Park Hyatt might offer better beach management and privacy. Overall, the best aspects of the hotel experience were definitely the butler service and the abundant beach activities.

Overall, it was a great experience! My favorite parts were definitely the afternoon tea and the evening wine service. I stayed in a second-floor room in the Linghai Pavilion. The room itself was very spacious, but incredibly humid. Even with the central air conditioning on all day, I couldn't get rid of the musty smell. The design of the public areas is really well done. The breakfast selection was quite extensive, but the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed during peak hours. My only complaint is about the mosquitoes on the beachfront lawn – they were absolutely brutal! Bug spray was completely useless. I got completely bitten up just trying to eat a burger on the lawn. I later went to the Mandarin Oriental, and I could lie on their lawn for half a day without getting a single bite. The butler service was very warm and responsive, though sometimes the shuttle took a bit long to arrive. Finally, I have to commend the hotel's photography service; the photographer was quite patient, guided my poses, and provided great emotional value. And last but not least, I highly recommend the Thai restaurant. At first glance, the menu seemed a bit pricey, but once the food arrived, you could tell how much care went into every detail, from ingredient selection to flavor pairing. It's definitely worth a try!

There were a few minor flaws, but the butler service was excellent! We received a complimentary extra adult breakfast and a free extra bed. This is a top-notch garden hotel, perfect for family trips. We'll definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Sanya. The farewell gifts, a beach bag and a little monkey, were fantastic!

Facilities: Excellent. Spotless. Ambiance: Perfect for family vacations. Service: Every staff member proactively greets guests and is very helpful, especially Joe, the 'cultural and tourism officer.' He's incredibly responsive to any needs. Service gets a perfect score! The hotel's restaurants are fantastic, especially the Thai food, which is delicious.

This was a perfect travel experience, and I give Capella Sanya full marks. The iconic 'Water Curtain Cave' welcomes you upon arrival. The rooms are stylish and spacious, the beach is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, and there are plenty of fun activities (afternoon ice cream and cookie time, evening cocktail and wine hour, crab hunting, etc.). The spa and gym facilities are comprehensive and modern. Breakfast is rich, delicious, and diverse, featuring Indian and Italian cuisine on different days in addition to the usual offerings. I especially recommend the Chinese restaurant, Lan Ting; their signature flaming garlic roasted meat truly amazed our taste buds. Overall, the service was excellent, and I'm grateful to our butler, Linda, who promptly addressed all our needs. I'll definitely return to Capella Sanya on my next trip to Sanya!
