Hotel Nikko Suzhou in Suzhou

The hotel's location is excellent, with a fantastic view, especially at night. The room facilities are comprehensive, and despite being an older hotel, it doesn't feel outdated. The only minor flaw was a small gap near the wall where the curtain didn't fully close, which might just be an issue with this particular room. It's something that could be improved.

Whenever I visit Suzhou, I always choose to stay at Hotel Nikko. The service is consistently excellent, and the location is superb – right by a subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. The rooms are very comfortable, and the shower pressure is fantastic. Every staff member, from the cleaning aunties to the front desk and concierge, is incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied!

The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. It's super convenient as it's right next to Shizishan Station on Metro Line 1. The pool is great, and the night view from the room is lovely.

Great location! It's an established hotel that has all the essentials. They even included free tickets to Hanshan Temple and Tianping Mountain, and didn't charge extra on weekends, which was a nice bonus. I booked it for a client and they gave positive feedback.

The hotel is conveniently located, and the environment and hygiene are generally good. However, the service was truly disappointing. Firstly, upon arriving at the hotel by car, the bell desk staff's procedure for helping guests with luggage seemed completely untrained. Checking in and parking the car are separate tasks but can be done simultaneously. Directing guests to designated parking spots would prevent congestion and chaos in front of the lobby. The front desk check-in process could also benefit from a more streamlined procedure. Checking out should have been simple, but the email address for the electronic invoice was incorrect, so I have no idea where it was sent. Then, when I called for assistance with my luggage to be taken to the car, I waited for nearly 25 minutes. After calling the front desk again to follow up, the explanation given was that they went to the wrong floor because they misheard. Finally, the staff member who came to collect the luggage left the cart in the stairwell while getting the bags, which was incredibly frustrating. What's more, there was no apology for the delay or the mix-up, not even a simple 'sorry'! I believe that in these challenging economic times, everyone is struggling, and we should be more understanding of each other. I don't want to comment on the individual staff's personal qualities, but rather on the hotel's management. They really need to improve their soft services and ensure staff follow proper service procedures. After all, in today's competitive hotel market, it's not about the hardware, but about excelling in empathetic service.

JAL's service is excellent, and the breakfast is abundant. We chose a room with a view of Lion Rock, which was beautiful. It's also very convenient to get around, with supermarkets and shops nearby for shopping and dining.

The room layout was excellent. I loved that you could watch TV from the bathtub through the curved glass, and there was also a privacy screen you could close. The desk space was very generous too. We arrived early for check-in and the staff were incredibly helpful. The attention to detail in their service reminded me of some of the best hotels in Japan. The location is super convenient, right at the exit of Metro Line 5, and very close to the new Suzhou Museum. The swimming pool water quality was also great. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms at Hotel Nikko Suzhou are quite spacious, featuring a smart toilet and a bathtub. The hotel is conveniently located right above a metro station, making it easy to get around. However, the breakfast was a bit simple and lacked variety, not quite meeting a five-star standard, though it was certainly enough to fill you up.

Had a small get-together with friends at the end of the year, and since I've stayed at Hotel Nikko many times before, I chose it again. This time, I booked an executive floor room. The floor was quite high up, and the lounge's happy hour started at 5:30 PM, which was enough for dinner. After eating, we could mix our own drinks or grab soft drinks. Sitting together, chatting, and enjoying the night view was absolutely beautiful.

The breakfast selection was extensive, with Chinese, Japanese, and Western options. I was pleasantly surprised to find Suzhou's local specialty, Zhu Xinnian Tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings), and I was thrilled to try a savory meat one!

Coincidentally, the cast of "Elisabeth" was also staying at the hotel during my visit. My friend had just seen the show and was so happy to see them again at the hotel.
