This hotel offers excellent value for money. While the facilities aren't the newest, the service is a major highlight, and the rooms are clean. I had an unexpected event come up on the day of my checkout and requested a late checkout, which was kindly arranged by Manager Qiu at the front desk. Many thanks to them!

Hotel looks aged, but the room is super comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Located near a public garden and several malls. Had a really nice view from the room. Will definitely come back again next time.

This hotel boasts an excellent location and is one I frequently book. The rooms are clean, well-designed, and very comfortable. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and polite, and the housekeeping is spotless. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby.

The location is excellent, about a 30-minute drive to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. Speaking of Hongqiao, this area caters to Japanese residents, with many long-term expats and business travelers. My impression was that a good number of guests at this hotel were Japanese. I'm not sure about dinner, but breakfast is served on the 1st floor and the 33rd floor (business floor?), and the taste is quite mild. Overall, the hotel is clean, but the facilities are showing their age. The bathroom floor would accumulate water, which was a real headache. However, when I reported it to the front desk, they fixed it immediately, so that was good!

This is an established hotel brand that's consistently upgrading its facilities, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The location is excellent, right on West Yan'an Road in the Hongqiao Development Zone. It's also conveniently close to Nanfung City, Jinqiao International, and the Tianshan commercial area. I highly recommend staying here; the service attitude is excellent.

The surrounding commercial area is well-developed, making dining options and food delivery extremely convenient, with Takashimaya and The Place (Nanfeng City) just a stone's throw away.

Though it's an older hotel, it doesn't feel dated. The place still has a lot of character and charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I have to give a special shout-out to the pillows – there were three pairs, and each one was just perfect, not too hard or soft, not too high or low. As someone who struggles to sleep when I'm away from home and is very picky about pillows, this was a huge blessing. I had such a wonderful night's sleep. There's just something about these classic high-star hotels! I'll definitely choose to stay here again if I get the chance!

Great, the room was very clean. The only minor drawback was that the bed was a bit soft. Breakfast was also good, with a wide variety of dishes that tasted delicious. The location is excellent too, with plenty of commercial facilities nearby.

Every time I stay at Yangtze River, it feels like coming home. So many familiar faces and friendly smiles, and everyone greets you warmly. Angela, the front desk manager, always remembers my preferences and arranges a high-floor room with a park view. Watching the day and night unfold over Hongqiao is truly a pleasure. Angela even sent me a fruit plate, which was incredibly thoughtful. Whenever I'm on a business trip to Hongqiao, I always make sure to stay here.

However, those sensitive to smells might want to take note: upon entering the lobby, there's a rather strong fragrance that permeates the public areas. This distinctive scent might be intended to create brand recognition, but for me personally, it was a bit overpowering and slightly uncomfortable at first. If the hotel could adjust the intensity of the fragrance, it might make for a more pleasant olfactory experience for some sensitive guests.
Overall, this is an established hotel with clear pros and cons: it offers five-star hardware and service at a reasonable price. While some details show its age, it still represents good value for money as a place to stay during the Chinese New Year holiday.

I wish i could give zero stars. one of the worst companies to deal with. the manager is so rude and arrogant. HORRIBLE.. Not professional at all. Do not recommend if you want to be treated well.
