My son and I specifically chose the Kunlun Hotel to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival this year. The executive room on the 33rd floor offered an amazing view, with the beautiful nightscape of Jing'an Temple right before our eyes. The executive lounge on the 38th floor was equally delightful, with its expansive floor-to-ceiling windows providing panoramic views of the city at night. Our 3-day, 2-night stay was exceptionally comfortable and pleasant. My son and I have already made plans to return here for the ***** New Year next year to celebrate the holiday again.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The room was large, clean and we had a great view. The breakfast buffet was varied and generous. Overall a good stay, and easy to get around Shanghai from the hotel.

Only recommendations would be to have proper barista-made coffee available (there was just one machine for everyone to use, or filtered American-style coffee that no one wanted) and also relaxing the rules around the use of the pool. We were told we had to wear their slippers (that did not fit) and also borrowed swimming caps. I’m sure it’s for hygiene purposes but it was unlike any five star hotel we have stayed in anywhere, including in China, and took away from the experience. They probably need some international consultants to provide advice on what travellers will expect in a few areas.

I never write reviews but this has me very upset. The stay was decent however BEWARE OF THE RECEPTION. I booked for my sister and they took 2000$rmb in CASH and said it was for pre-authorisation, however did not return her cash at the end of the trip. Reception said she would get the $2000 back onto her card within 48 hours however after 2 full weeks, she has still not received it.

I have contacted Trip.com who have been very kind and escalated the issue several times with the hotel directly. Each time the hotel has said that they did not take the cash. I have even tried emailing to which they generically responded the same. I told them to check the surveillance cameras. I have stayed in Kunlun several times in the past and this is truly disappointing. I regret recommending Kunlun to my sister.

The entrance of the lobby is gorgeous. Wonderful location and we loved the breakfast. The only downside was the rooms seem a bit dated. A little musty and not the cleanest. Doesn’t match the rest of the hotel in standards.

The environment is great, and the location is super convenient for getting anywhere, with a subway station right outside the door. However, the room was a bit damp, and I'm not sure how to resolve that. I would still consider staying here again next time.

Perfect location! The desserts at the executive lounge were amazing, especially the chocolate cake – it was so rich and dense. The staff were warm and genuinely helpful, and their attention to detail really showed the quality of service.

This is a very, very old hotel. The shower, bed, pillows—everything was just average. It's not as comfortable as Atour. However, the location is absolutely superb and faultless. I would still stay here again for business trips.

The Kunlun Jing An Hotel in Shanghai is located in the heart of the city, making transportation and shopping incredibly convenient. From the higher-floor rooms, you can enjoy stunning city views. The executive lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour with light bites. Guests dining in the executive lounge can overlook Jing'an Temple and even spot the Oriental Pearl Tower and the 'Pudong Three-Piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline) in the distance. I will definitely choose to stay at the Kunlun Jing An Hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai.

The location is convenient, with shopping malls nearby. Breakfast is served on the first floor; the environment is great, and the food and service are good. We had to leave unexpectedly and couldn't check out on time, but the hotel kindly offered a late checkout at no extra charge, which was very thoughtful of them.

I stayed at the Kunlun Hotel Shanghai Jing'an, originally just for a layover, but to my surprise, I got upgraded to a suite. That immediately made my stay much more comfortable! It's very close to the subway station, which made getting around quite convenient. The hotel's swimming and fitness facilities were decent enough. Apart from the hotel being a bit older overall, everything else was fine. The view from the window was also lovely.

However, there's an excellent Thai restaurant (Thai Gallery) in its place now.
I loved the food, cocktails, service, and the ambiance in the new restaurant!

A real disappointment, the quality of the food has been lowered quite a lot in the past one year, the material of the Yanduxian is not fresh at all, the overpricing cannot match its quality. However, the reason why I am giving this restaurant one star is not about the food itself, First of all, the waiter cheated at us, highlight:CHEATING! When we were ordering, he didn't remind us that we were ordering too much, instead, he interrupted and said what we had ordered were all cold dishes, so we ordered more hot dishes, but when the dishes came they turned out to be all HOT rather than COLD, if he wanted to order more dishes so that he could earn more tips, I would say, that is really mean. SECOND, we had a lot of leftovers and we asked the waiter to pack the food for us, and you know what happened? The FOAM box and the plastic bag RUINED my car, I have never seen such a restaurant who would use foam box to pack a soup, which apparently could not seal or prevent the box from leaking, and what's more, the plastic bag which was used to wrap the box was broken so the soup leaked everywhere under my seat! I will post photos later on to advise everyone who wants to try the food and service here NOT TO, it does not worth a try simply for the awful attitude of waiters and the attitude of the restaurant itself, the food is not that good after all.
