Stayed at the Swissotel many times while traveling to Shanghai . Excellent location in the middle of JingAn. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Hotel has been around for years but overall maintained good condition. The room is reasonably spacious for 2- sufficient walking and luggage space. Didn’t use any facilities.
Easy access hotel to these Michelin restaurant and best cafe. Walking distance. Shopping and restaurants opp hotel. Metro next door.
The hotel was in a very good location near Jing’an temple, but a little old and outdated compared to other hotels around the area. However, overall they are good for the money.
The location is superb, convenient for everything. The room was cleaned meticulously every day, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful. The doormen were also very attentive and tried their best. Many thanks. The only thing that truly surprised me was how poor the breakfast was for a 5-star hotel. I'm not even talking about the variety of food, but rather the quality of the ingredients themselves...
The location is unbeatable—super convenient and right in the heart of everything. The rooms here are impressively spacious and spotlessly clean, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
The room was very satisfying. The lobby had a subtle and pleasant scent, and the breakfast was abundant.

Ideally situated in the center, close Jingan Temple, metro 14 stop under hotel.
Both my husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff (I would like to mention some names here,( Isaac , Joe, Frank ) are very polite, helpful, friendly and attentive. The buffet spread was pretty impressive and good. Housekeeping was well done too. To get taxi was fairly easy especially the bellboys (Isaac and Joe) just waited willingly in the cold winds for them for us and other...
Clean, comfortable and any problems were resolved very quickly.
I STAYED IN THISD HOTEL FOR 7 NIGHTS. OVERALL A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. Restaurant is very much limited in offering vegetarian/vegan foods, outside the hotel certain people loitering and offering massage services can be a bothersome. Overall it is an excellent location and property.
Comfortable rooms with full amenities. Only stayed 2 nights. Shower can be tricky to use! Pull the ring down on the hose under the faucet to turn shower on. They almost need a sign. Easy access to temple metro station. Restaurants within walking distance. Super serious security and parking enforcement outside of hotel.
The room was clean, and WiFi was so fast and stable. It takes about 7~8 minutes from Jing'an temple station on foot. Highly recommended.

Beautifully maintained hotel with exceptional staff! Thank you Chloe and Goslin for your hospitality!
Facilities: As expected, Jaya and Layan's design truly shines. Even after 16 years, it remains incredibly classic and timeless. I particularly love the bamboo grove at the entrance; walking through it gives you a feeling of being a hidden oasis in the bustling city. Hygiene: I'm very satisfied that there were no strange odors in the room. The duvet cover and sheets were changed daily during our two...
The service was incredibly thoughtful. They even deliver takeout to your room, and the mini-bar is free and refilled daily – such attention to detail! I absolutely loved the room and the hotel environment. Overall, it's very modern, detailed, and caring. Highly recommend!
The hotel boasts an excellent location in the heart of Jing'an Temple, right next to a subway entrance. It's a designer hotel with a truly elegant atmosphere, and the outdoor coffee bar in the lobby is a unique touch. The front desk staff, breakfast servers, and housekeeping were all incredibly thoughtful and enthusiastic. My only complaints are that after more than a decade of operation, many of the...
Chloe and Jay provided incredibly thoughtful and warm service. The Puli Hotel perfectly embodies the tranquility and luxury of an 'urban oasis.' Every detail showcases exceptional quality, making for an absolutely perfect stay.
Extremely satisfied, excellent! The room was comfortable, and the mattress was incredibly cozy. The bath was amazing too! The service experience was fantastic! Everything about this stay was 100% perfect! Truly lives up to the reputation of The Puli. Mini bar: completely free.

I decided to take the metro from one of the major railway stations in Shanghai to the hotel (line 2) and it took me a while to find the hotel entrance, but when I finally got to the 12th floor reception, it all felt so much better. If you arrive by metro, aim to cross all 3 large zebra crossings to get to the opposite side of the road where the building is located. I think I exited from Exit 3 of the...
I'm not a shill, this is a business boutique hotel. On the surface it's a four-star, but the quality is exactly like a five-star, just on a smaller scale. It's very clean, the front desk is quite efficient, and the bathroom facilities are high quality, using traditional Chinese herbal products. Although the breakfast area is small, it has everything you need, and the service is quite flexible and adaptable...
This was my first stay at the Paramount Hotel, and I was really impressed! It's surrounded by shopping malls, and the subway entrance is right outside, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The service was absolutely fantastic, and the coffee at their restaurant, YoYo, was delicious. The staff were very attentive and thoughtful.
The room was spotless and very spacious with an excellent layout. The front desk staff and other employees were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is also super convenient. This is truly a hidden gem near Jing'an Temple!
This hotel offers incredible value for money, with top-notch service and super convenient transportation. The subway entrance is right at the doorstep, and Jing'an Temple is just across the street. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby. The best part is the hotel's breakfast, which perfectly blends Chinese and Western cuisines, featuring both Shanghai specialties and international options...
Right by Jing'an Temple, the location and views are absolutely superb, and being next to the subway entrance makes transportation incredibly convenient. The hotel has a charming, old-school vibe that's very comfortable, and the service is wonderfully refreshing. Extremely satisfied! The room was very comfortable overall, and the hotel's service was excellent. Breakfast had a great variety, and it was quiet and cozy – a really fantastic experience! This will be my top choice for business travel. Highly recommend!
The hotel isn't too far from Jing'an Temple and other attractions. However, the central air conditioning in my room wasn't working, and they provided an electric heater instead. It wasn't very effective at heating, but thankfully, it wasn't too cold outside.
The location is super convenient. It's in the Jing'an Temple commercial area, and Line 2 is less than a 10-minute walk away. There's a FamilyMart convenience store and the Jing'an Party and Public Service Center nearby, making it very easy to find food, work out, or read.
Perfect Base: Great Location, Spotless, and Fantastic Value✅ This hotel is an excellent choice. The location is incredibly convenient for transportation and accessing the main attractions. The rooms and common areas are consistently very clean and well-maintained. Best of all, for the quality and convenience offered, the cost represents outstanding value for money. I would happily stay here again...
Upon entering, there was a smoke smell, and the exhaust fan was broken. It took a whole day with the window open for it to air out. The room was quite damp, probably because there was no heating. When the air conditioning was on, the outdoor unit was loud. Soundproofing was poor; noises from the hallway outside the window were very clear. Sometimes the front desk was unstaffed. The upsides were a...
I asked for a quiet room, and the front desk did provide one that was relatively quiet and didn't disturb my sleep, so thank you for that. However, the room itself wasn't well-proportioned and only had one small window. There was always a lingering odor, like luosifen (river snails rice noodles), in the room. The window was broken and couldn't be locked, and the door frame was warped and coming off...

Amazing location, friendly staff, clean and pratical for.short trips.
Very convenient location, close to the metro and main attractions. The hotel is very clean and has everything you need. There's no TV in the room, but that didn't bother me. The room was warm. I liked the stay!
The hygiene was acceptable and the environment was pretty good, but the facilities were a bit lacking. It's located in a residential building, so navigation was a little tricky to find. The staff were very friendly. Overall, I'm satisfied.
The bedding is clean and warm, and there's heating. Bicycles can be rented right at the exit of the complex – very convenient. Suitable for business overnight stays.
Very good hotel just near the Jingan Temple. Rooms are new and they provide you all the necessary (slippers, towels, two bottles of water everyday). The reception is very welcoming and he also speaks a bit of English. Highly recommended!
Not bad, just that the bathroom is a bit small.

You book this hotel because you can see Jing’An Temple from it. Don’t book the breakfast. Go outside to see Shanghai and get it there. Don’t stay around at night time. This hotel is a place just to sleep and get into the city centre quick as possible.
This hotel has a fantastic price quality ratio. It's well situated with easy access. The rooms are perfect and well conceived to be practical. The breakfast is generous and the breakfast ladies are really nice and helpful. Only Chinese spoken so translator apps are useful.
The location is awesome. But the hotel is a bit dated and honestly not as par as other Ji hotel chain i stayed at. Room was quite small and lay out is awkward with bed pushed against the bathroom glass door. Breakfast was also average-ish and need to be improved. Staff were friendly.
The hotel is at the city, and very convenient
Very convenient location, just a few minutes' walking distance to the subway station ...

The location is fantastic. So many stylish relaxing bars, cafes, and restaurants nearby, but without ever getting too loud or crowded. I stayed here 3 weeks straight while studying Chinese at the "That's Mandarin" School 1 block away. The room was nice and clean and spacious with a window. The room however isn’t very soundproof so the neighbours banging or talking loudly can be heard inside the room. It also takes a while for the cleaners to come over and clean the room.
This hotel is a really good value budget stay that is clean and comfortable. Everything seems quite new. I have been before and this time paid a little extra for the two storey suite. It was fine but it was really too big for me. It was a bit irritating to use the stairs to go to the bathroom etc. and there was no benefit to having two floors beyond the novelty. I'd happily go back to the normal room...
Convenient position, nice place, but they didn’t change the sheets of the bed.
Very nice room and convenient area.
Really recommend this hotel of Hanting group. The location is very good, I like exploring local places and it nearby many local restaurants, bars, walk a little bit like 10mins to metro or bus stop. One of Shanghai’s most iconic temples, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. Admission is 50 RMB, and incense is available for 10 RMB for those who wish to offer prayers. The temple has a peaceful atmosphere and stunning architecture. It’s a wonderful place to pray for prosperity, career success, good health, and love. A must-visit for anyone seeking both cultural heritage and a meaningful spiritual...
Right smack in the heart of Shanghai city is this oasis of calm 🤔 There are many people here despite having to pay a fee to enter that it is quite hectic to watch 😂 There is a fee to pay (cant remember how much, maybe 50Y??) which you will have to pay before allowed to enter. However, there are places inside where its calmer. The main hall has a large Buddha statue, as well as lots of carvings / murals...

My visit to Jing'an Temple in Shanghai was a peaceful and meaningful experience right in the middle of a busy city. It's one of few temples downtown Shanghai, and a very popular tourist spot. Entrance fee is 50 RMB per person, and you need around 40 minutes to see everything inside. You get there on subway Line 2 a JingAn temple station, exit 2. The hygiene is good, the service attitude is great, the location is easy to find and convenient for transportation, and most importantly, the price is cheap.
I discovered cockroaches crawling around in the toilet.
The wall-mounted air conditioner in the room was really old, and the outdoor unit was so noisy that I had to turn it off to sleep.
The room was clean, dry, and well-equipped.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, attentive service, and comfortable stays, offering great value for money. However, the bathroom had an unpleasant odor and the room was quite small, despite the fantastic location.
This hotel is really great. The staff are so warm and responsible. This is my second time staying here, and it's always very clean. Anything I needed, the front desk responded to promptly. It's excellent, and I'll definitely choose it again in the future.

I had a very pleasant stay at the NOA hotel. The room was clean and I liked the design of the hotel. The Jingan area is very cozy and there are many cafes and restaurants around. The reception staff is super helpful and accomodated all my wishes. Thank you to NOA staff and especially Xiaozhou!☺️
Everything was good. The hotel was clean and neat and kind. Thank you!!
I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I particularly love the interior design of this place. The staff are nice and polite. Breakfast is well served and tasty. There are nice cafes and drinking places nearby despite being in a quiet area. Would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for some peace and quiet after a long day out at the busy streets of Shanghai!

Fancy hotel where the rooms don't age well (stains on the wall and sofa). Bed sheets smelling cigarette (probably from the laundry company) and noisy conferences when the restaurant is privatised. Features vs. price not very good. Breakfast and staff are ok though.

This is the perfect oasis in a busy city. So refreshing and the most magical garden to enjoy. Could not recommend this more.
An amazing place where I spent a week. The area is super cozy and relaxing, and the hotel is surrounded by greenery, local designer shops, and trendy coffee shops. It’s just a 5-minute walk from the temple and the metro station. I absolutely adore the fact that they preserved some interior details and materials from the French Concession era. The room was stylish and quite spacious, but at the same...
The room facilities need maintenance. The overall decor is classic and comfortable. The towels need to be replaced as they are frayed. The service is very good. The drainage needs regular inspection. I would book again, but details need improvement.
This hotel really embraces the concept of green living and environmental protection, and its unique design instantly won me over. The room was incredibly spacious, and soaking in the large bathtub every evening was pure bliss. There's a sofa in front of the big French windows where I'd lie and read a book, with soothing music playing, while enjoying the beautiful scenery and warm sunshine outside....
The hotel has one on the kindest staff, always here to help us when needed. The decoration style is stunning, with reused materials from the french concession. Shops and food in the street for convenience and authenticity. Amazing stay, 100% recommended.

I highly recommend avoiding this Atour hotel. It's not my first time staying at an Atour, but the service at this particular location was terrible. The value for money was exceptionally poor. 1. I've been to Shanghai countless times, and I can't remember when I started consistently choosing this hotel. The location and amenities are perfect! My only minor issue is that when you call a taxi through an app from the hotel entrance, it always defaults to the parking across the street, so you have to walk over there.
