Superb location that’s smacked in the middle of Old Shanghai Street, Yu Garden and Cheng Huang Temple. Rooms are clean and reasonable in size considering that it’s under the “Ibis” brand. No closet at all though the sofa can easily double up as an extra bed. Optional breakfast is priced at CNY68 offers a very limited spread and is better substituted by McD’s closeby which is very affordable. Standard rooms have no views and it is advisable to pay a little more for rooms at least with (some form of) street views. No welcome fruit basket awaits you upon check in. However they made up for it with a platter of cut fresh fruits on our last night.

Rooms were clean however cockroaches were still running around the room, every day we’ve seen them!!! No hangers in bathrooms for towels, viewing terrace only open in the morning for breakfast! And breakfast was the worst we’ve had in China!

the only benefit i enjoyed my stay was the location, very near to yu garden, other than that, all really horrible. my room was full of cigarette smell, full 3 nights stay heard very irritating unknown wall knocking sound, reception staffs are rude especially a reception staff called Aarron, super no manner and sour face like we owe him money, when we spoke with him, he never look at us while talking which is damn rude and not friendly. WIFI never in stable condition, In short, bad hotel bad service, wont come anymore.
