Vassos Nissi Plage Hotel & Spa in Ayia Napa

We stayed at Vassos Nisi Plage for 4 nights with friends in early October and overall had a lovely time. The location is excellent – right across from Nissi Beach, which is absolutely gorgeous – and the hotel itself has some strong points. It's modern, the sunbeds are thick and comfortable, the bar, called "Famous", is very nice, and the rooms were clean with decent storage space. Waking up to the sea views was a real highlight. That said, there are some things that could be better. There simply aren’t enough sunbeds for the number of guests, and by 8.30am all the good ones were gone. This meant the 80's-style ones on the grass. So we preferred the beach to using these. The two lifts are tiny and don’t really cope with the size of the hotel, and the rooms are quite dark – especially the bathrooms, where the lighting really isn’t up to scratch. Some of the hotel’s policies also felt unnecessarily petty. Being asked for a €10 deposit for a pool towel or an extra room key (you only get one as standard, which is inconvenient) seemed a bit much. The plug sockets by the dressing table were also ridiculous – positioned so close to the worktop that you couldn’t use them for a hairdryer or straighteners. For a short 4-night stay, none of this spoiled our break and I did really like the hotel overall. But if I was staying longer, I think these little frustrations would have added up. Overall I would recommend this for a short break/long-weekend.

We stayed as two families. The rooms with sea view offered an amazing scenery. The hotel staff was very friendly. We had two meals a day, breakfast and dinner, and we could switch dinner for lunch whenever we wanted. The food was very tasty and good. Every evening/lunch the meals were different, with various themes. Special appreciation for the chef who coordinated the kitchen for such delicious dishes. The drinks/cocktails at the bar were excellent and made with quality alcohol. A 10/10 for Mahid (the bartender at the Famous bar) and his colleague. Maximum appreciation for the lady responsible for cleaning on the 4th floor of the hotel. Daily cleaning, daily towel changes, and daily refill of personal care products. We felt very good and will definitely come back.

We had an amazing stay. From breakfast buffet that offers something to everyone to the bar, pools and clean room i can happily recommend the hotel. Thank you.

Fantastic location opposite a stunning beach, 12 euros each way in a taxi into Aiya Napa main town or there is a bus stop opposite. We had a sea view room, this was very clean and made up every day. Breakfast was great and they had everything you could want including pastries, pies and pancakes, continental, cooked breakfast, fruits, salads, 5 different types of yoghurts, an omelette made by a lovely lady called Constance, a really great choice. The staff are amazing especially when you make an effort to engage with them, really helpful and a credit to the hotel. Take no notice of any comments saying “rude staff” If anything it was the guests that were rude to them. I witnessed this so many times, no respect or manners and no please or thank you. I would definitely come back!

Excellently positioned in front of Nissi beach, impeccable cleanliness in the rooms and common areas, swimming pool with sun loungers, varied breakfast

This is mine and my partners third holiday to Cyprus and 2nd stay in Ayia Napa but the first time stay in this hotel and a first holiday abroad for my partners 14yr old daughter. We have had an amazing time we are so sad to be leaving today :-( The whole of the staff are so friendly and we have had a right laugh and joke with some of them. The food has been amazing and I can also highly recommend the chicken tenders in the Famous beach bar and restaurant that’s right next to the pool in the hotel. The staff are great in there too and so friendly. We had a lovely room which was cleaned regularly the shower was fab. The pool is lovely and clean too. We spent a lot of time round the pool and Khim cane round lots asking if we were ok and if we would like a drink he’s now my partners daughters bestie Ana the entertainment staff also did an amazing job too and didn’t mind a 52 year old joining in with the mini disco. The aqua aerobics she also did was fun too. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you so much for having us. We have absolutely loved it. Andrea, Daron & Maddy

We stayed at this hotel for a week in September. For us it is important to swim in the sea on holiday, so we were very happy as the beach there is absolutely gorgeous. The water is not deep, so the sea gets warm, no big waves as the bay is sort of “enclosed” on the sides, water is very clear.
Beautiful beach, even though a bit overcrowded sometimes, but you still can find the space to swim and there are less people on the beach in the early morning.

We got a sea view room, which was with the nice view.

All staff (reception, cleaner, people at breakfast restaurant and the Famous restaurant) were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we really liked their staff.

We only booked breakfast which was ok, always something to choose from but it’s pretty much the same menu every day for breakfast. I also liked their fresh bread buns and selection of yogurts

Room is cleaned every day and it felt clean, we liked it.

Negatives: AC in the room could be a bit stronger. Water pressure in the shower was weak. I didn’t find Decaf coffee options at breakfast, so had to buy my own decaf in the small shop in front of the hotel.
