Trio Hotel Kaoud Sporting in Alexandria

I write this review with a constructive purpose — to help improve a hotel that once delivered a wonderful experience. I stayed here 10 years ago and still remember the quality, which makes the current decline especially disappointing. Cons • Unacceptable construction noise: Construction — officially 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM — started earlier, disturbing guests. • No sound-isolation: There is no proper sound insulation — you can hear street traffic and car horns loudly at night, making it almost impossible to sleep or rest peacefully. This is a major comfort issue. • Outdated room access experience: Only one physical key per room; it broke and I was told to wait the entire night until a replacement was made — unacceptable for any modern hospitality standard. • Poor Wi-Fi with outdated policy: Internet is limited to 1GB per person, and barely functions on high floors. In the modern age, unlimited reliable internet is a basic necessity for all travelers — for work, communication, safety, and planning. • Rooms lack maintenance: Outdated furniture, worn fixtures, and neglected facilities. • Cleanliness concerns: Dust and lack of proper preparation upon check-in. • Strange room-service policy: No glass cups provided — only small cardboard cups, something I have never encountered worldwide. ⚠️ A Key Point – Not Just a Renovation Problem The biggest concern is that many issues reflect management policies and mindset, not just an old building. Wi-Fi limits, lack of spare keys, cardboard cups, failure to enforce quiet hours, and construction starting early — these are operational decisions that actively harm the hotel’s brand. An old hotel can still feel premium — but when policies communicate cost-cutting over guest comfort, the reputation collapses. Pros • Beautiful sea view: The triple room’s sea view is truly exceptional. • Some staff members genuinely tried to help, and their efforts are appreciated such as Waleed El Sayed so thanks for your individual efforts. Final Message This review is written because I care. Kaoud once offered a memorable experience. With leadership improvements, updated guest-centered policies, proper sound-proofing, and renovation, it can recover its past greatness. I hope this message is received as a call to restore Kaoud Hotel to the standard it once proudly held.

Great location. Check in was easy. Hotel room very disappointing. Ceilings black, curtains dirty, bath stained, no towels or safe box, furniture old, walls dirty. Blocked drain in washbasin. Water pressure inconsistent. Door to balcony difficult to open/close. Unable to lock door from the inside, only small bolt lock

Very uncomfortable and old pillows. Found hair on my bed. No towels were provided. No one pick up calls to reserve, confirm online reservation or ask for information. Unfriendly reception staff. They checked me out despite that I asked for late checkout.

The place is very, very, very bad. The air conditioning does not work. The beds are broken and the mattress springs are very rusty. The bathroom is very rusty and even the toilet itself is broken. The worst place you can spend time. The room door is not secure. Good. There are no facilities in the room for work. Any drinks.

Very very bad experience. I advice never to come here

at first They have a very weak cellular coverage and slow wifi in rooms .. whole building needs maintenance.. air-conditioning not working well .. water heaters is not working well too specially in winter!! room service is poor .. towels changed on demand not daily !! Staff is good only if you tip them every day .. breakfast is acceptable for the place rate ..no parking and finally beware of the elevators as they have a lot of issues.. very bad experience for a while during business trip 😤🤕
