I recommend! The hotel is cosy in the forest and the lady at the reception is very helpful!
Good place, taste breakfast, but very cold in room
We found that hotel at the midnight. The staff is very professional and friendly. We were greatly appreciated by room and service. I will recommend that place as one of the best that I visited. Despite 3 stars the atmosphere and conditions are super.
Great hotel. Service at height, but without the frills.
Quietly, calmly. Great walking trail. Helpful staff. Good Breakfast. For me too soft bed, but it's a matter of taste and habits.

Helsinki, Museokatu 18 🧭 Map
Clean and spacious in a great central location. It is a bit dated, but it wasn't advertised to be otherwise so I didn't expect it to be. The staff is very helpful - the kitchen knifes in our apartment were blunt and the quickly replaced them with brand new. We stayed there for a week and would definitely consider the hotel again next time.
Nice place. Not cheap. Couldn't use heating as was turned off so at times room was cold, but managed with portable heater. Very quiet hotel and location. Very pleasant staff at reception. Beds comfortable but pillows horrible. Couldn't switch off fan from range hood over cooker in room so had that noise 24/7 for 4 days. Spacious and overall a very pleasant stay.
4.5 stars, took a little off for the mediocre pull out couch bed and meager pillows. Staff helpful and the in house laundry and sauna facilities were very much appreciated. Good location with easy access to city centre, and far enough away from the train station to avoid nuisances.
A spacious and comfortable apartment that we very much enjoyed. So much better than a cramped hotel room and at a better price. It is clean and comfortable with the amenities of home. Cook your own food if you want though the kitchen is small. Located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from city center. We highly recommend this place.
The overall experience was alright which is very good considering the price of the hotel. As a 3 star apartment hotel it offers what you need, though no breakfast or restaurant.
The things I can complain about are in the details. Cleaning could be better, more than one showing towel could be offered, a bag of tea or instant coffee on the kitchen would be nice for a shorter visit, the kitchen ventilation...
My partner and I stayed here on our first visit to Helsinki, and found the staff friendly and helpful. The room that we stayed in, a self-contained apartment, was very nice - reasonably spacious with great facilities. The location of the hotel is also quite good, close to public transport, cafés and other points of interest.

Excellent place to stay if you are visiting Pori. Villa Mairea (you need to reserve a tour online) nearby is also really worth a visit
We booked a night in Vainiola as we were visiting Villa Maria. Wish we had stayed longer. Vanilla is their “superior room” and gets you a suite in an Alvar Aalto building. Even better - the shared space includes the dining room and sitting room, so you can chill in an incredibly elegant space. There’s even a small kitchen so you can prepare your own food to eat in the dining room.
We had a room in Vainiola, designed by Alvar Aalto. A comfortable suite, with shared kitchen, dining room and lounge. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Finland - absolutely stunning. And the whole Noormarku site is fabulous.
Bea8and historical place and very nece for walking alot of people speak Swedish language as i noticed
The landscape enviroment is beautiful.
We had diner at this magical place en we loved it so much. The food was amazing!

Second time here, again in February. Nice things to do in the evenings too, thanks especially to the bowling alley and the craft evenings! Nice staff and the food was super good! And beautiful nature and the nearby town of Kankaanpää, where you can linger in the evening.
A successful refreshing day in all respects, the dining is a perfect 10
The food was good and it was nice to have the celebratory meal in suitably cool premises.

Overall experience was good, we enjoyed our stay and activities that the hotel offered, unfortunately it was not our day to catch a glimpse of Aurora from our room. On that night of our stay.. it was snowing and the glass are covered with snow as well.
The place was cosy and the igloo quite nice
It was a novel experience to sleep on ice beds. Got to see northern lights at night, the staff was prompt in waking us up for it. Lounge area was good but no provision of glasses to drink water. They provide snow sauna but for people like me who are hesitant to join a group of unknown people it was a no go. The hotel and the dinner buffet were overpriced
An unforgettable experience, the environment was incredibly serene. The hotel staff were very enthusiastic and polite.
Food was average, for the igloo was small and space was limited.
Artic Snowhotel is a nice place to stay if you need to take a break from the city. Overall the room was nice, and the view was good.
However, the only thing I felt disappointed is the location is quite far from city and it was very difficult for us to order car/taxi, even when you had already ordered the car, you also need to wait for 25mins for them to come. This is the only headache thing when...

It is definitely a YOLO moment when you wake up in the cold, the staff are extremely friendly and just willing to please, the Christmas Eve dinner was delicious. The hotel was very accommodating to our kids and the kids probably slept better than us
An absolutely unique and magical experience! Staff was extremely friendly and everybody did their absolutely best to give us this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommendable! Saw the most amazing Aurora light that night above the hotel also.
Very nice built hotel and rooms . You can sleep overnight, around 200eur for one night. We didn't do that. There are around 12 rooms, looks nice. Seems to be extremely quite there at night. You have an ice bar with ice drinks from ice glasses. Every room had it's own theme. Also Amsterdam! There was also a Northern light watch but unfortunately we didn't see that due to some clouds. Nice to visit this...
Can’t book in advance but didn’t seem to be a problem when we arrived. There can be big groups here around lunchtime and it was a little busy, but still amazing ice carvings and worth the trip out from Levi.
Tickets were only 19 EUR directly, much much cheaper than some of the tours we looked at (you would just need to sort your own transfer for the 30 minute trip from Levi).
Amazing experience. Drove here from Levi in the middle of winter and it was still a great, beautiful drive.
We ate at the Ice restaurant which was an experience in itself, but the ice sculptures in the ice village is amazing. Every room deserved a picture and it was once in a life time experience.
Make sure to dress VERY warmly though. It gets cold being in there while.
Fantastic place, we had a quick tour around explaining how they build it and why they can use snow from the sky and how they make it by pumping it up from the local river and spraying it in the air to freeze and then harvest it. Every year it melts down and last November they started building and had most of it done in a month. Slide was the best part .

If you want a place that's out of the way, with strong potential for seeing the northern lights, this is the spot! Fantastic service—you can arrange for collection and/or drop-off at the nearest airport or bus station. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the surroundings are magical in the winter—perfect for walks in the snow and pretty photos. The norther lights showed up AMAZINGLY one night...
Great hotel in a slightly remote location—if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s perfect. We absolutely loved our stay, and it was very convenient for all the activities we wanted to do. The guides were excellent, and it’s a fantastic spot for seeing the Northern Lights. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and well presented.
The only small criticism is that the room lacked a few thoughtful...
We had such an amazing stay here. They were so nice and friendly and the resort was great. Food was terrific. The hut was awesome and the northern lights didn’t disappoint. Will be back!!!!
We stayed for 5 nights and same breakfast menu was served for all the days. There should be some variations. At the time of checkout, water bottles should be given as complimentary.
Beautiful trails around the hotel that are easy to navigate. We stayed in an aurora cabin and were lucky enough to get engaged under the northern lights in early September!
Overall nice stay! Buffet was delicious and probably the best buffet I have ever had. Rooms were very nice, especially if you’re lucky enough to have a sauna in your cabin. $40 credit for VIP membership didn’t do much. It was for public sauna or snow shoe rental only.

I wish I was giving this a 5 star review, but it just did not hit the mark for me.
You have to drag luggage around in snow to your room which makes sense, but for the price I think I imagined a service for this.
The igloo was really warm, I asked reception 3 times to adjust the temperature, but it never changed.
The room was not 100% clean, there was a false nail from a previous guest on the ledge...
A must do ! Sleep in an ice hotel , we slept really good and had the chance to see the northern lights.
Food is great and staff super helpful and friendly.
Worth it
This review is going to be about the food at their restaurant.
We tried the reindeer meat and the salmon.
They smoke the salmon on a fire pit in the middle of the restaurant as seen in a picture. The salmon is imported from Norway. I had to order another serving because it was so tasty, soft, and clean (not to mention perfectly smoked).
The reindeer meat has been a lovely experience: the meat is gently...
The staff is very friendly and ready to help. The igloos were clean and cute with adjustable beds to make you comfortable and give you a good view. The food at the restraunt was AMAZING. I would definitely come again. It's an easy 20 drive mins from town.
A very special experience - sleeping in a room with a glass roof even when it's cloudy. It is clear that every piece of equipment in the room was put there after a lot of thought. For example, the beds are adjustable and there are blankets for cuddling.
What an amazing experience. Delightful staff - very attentive, nothing too much trouble. Staying in the Snow Hotel rooms is an experience of a lifetime. Even my loving wife managed to sleep, wrapped up warm in the sleeping bags provided, only suffering a chilly nose. A walk out onto the frozen lake reveals such a beautiful area and even though we didn't get to see the aurora borealis the evening light...

Had an amazing experience , everything from igloos to food to service was awesome. It was a dream come true to see northern lights from the igloo .. mesmerising ✨
Golden Crown is located on the South East side of Oy Levi Ski Resort. It seemed possible to ski back down to your room after a long day on the mountain, but getting to a chair lift or T-Bar is a challenge without a vehicle. The rooms were fantastic. Very elegant place to stay. The nature surrounding this place is phenomenal. The igloo itself is simple and comfortable. Not much more to add. This place is self service though so don’t expect anyone to help with luggage. The restaurant is nice and comfort. Wait staff was very tentative there and the food was great!
What a fantastic experience!
The igloos are warm, clean, and comfortable.
The staff, headed by Karolina and Reeta, are so helpful, pleasant, and accommodating.

Checking in at the main building was a bit inconvenient.
The relatively affordable option in Rovaniemi (everything is expensive) but good room, remember to check in at another location before coming!
The check-in location is different from the accommodation location; it's a 10-minute walk. The rooms are comfortable, and there's a kitchen in the hotel where you can cook.
Since it was a detached building, there were no special services! I knew that when I went, so there were no problems.
There were also facilities where you can learn about the Northern Lights and Finnish nature, as well as a large supermarket, within walking distance, so there were no problems. I recommend this hotel for those who are just looking for a place to stay!
The position of the hotel is very good, it’s near the city center (10min walk ca.)
The room was tiny but okay if you’re a traveller who doesn’t care much about the accommodation
I left 3 stars because 2 sockets were not working, the room was clean when we arrived but that’s it, during our stay (3 night) no one touched our room for cleaning or at least changing the towels and the mugs we used
So overall...
We stayed here November 8, 2025.. we already knew that check in was at the main hotel, so went straight there and we checked in and they held our luggage as we went straight to Santa Village. The receptionist was very helpful.. when we picked up our luggage, we went to the Rudolph and it was different, but quaint and clean enough.. no problems and stores close by for something to eat.

Hands down one of the most badass experiences I’ve had. Sleeping out on a frozen lake, dragged into position by snowmobile, watching the Northern Lights from bed—it doesn’t get better. The cabin was simple but solid—warm, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The whole setup is just smart and well done. If you’re after something that feels remote but still comfortable, this is the spot.
This was honestly the coolest thing we’ve ever done. We spent two nights out on frozen Lake Inari, sleeping under the stars and Northern Lights, which put on the most incredible show both nights. One night we joined dinner in the Kota, and...

I won't waste your time by repeating all the fantastic things which people have already written, but the executive summary is: 1) Atte and his team are wonderful.
