Paradise Kazbegi Hotel in Kazbegi

I chose this hotel for an evening and overnight stay in the mountains, paid extra for the view from the window, and was looking forward to a pleasant night's stay. Unfortunately, my expectations were only partially met. The hotel is newly built, everything is new and clean. I was pleased with the wooden floors, the large, comfortable bed, the new bathroom fixtures, the good linens, and the soft sofa. However, it lacked the comfort that is important to me on a trip. Firstly, the hotel has no restaurant or bar, and no food at all; breakfast is not available even for a fee. You can't order food in your room either (even though it's advertised). You can only heat up a kettle in the common area. There are also tea bags, a jar of instant coffee, sugar, and... moldy lemon slices. Secondly, the floor in the room was icy. I've never encountered anything like this before, but it was very uncomfortable. You can only stay in the room with your feet up on the bench (yay, there is one). And of course, it's cold from the floor. The radiators don't help. A warm blanket at night helped. There was also a large gap under the door, allowing you to hear everything going on near the reception area. Luckily, there weren't many other guests. But when the receptionist decided to entertain herself by listening to music, I had to go and ask her to at least turn down the volume. The view from the window was also disappointing. My room was on the first floor, so it partially overlooked the courtyard, the fence, and the neighboring building. A good view is from the third floor, from the common area! Overall, paying extra for the view here isn't worth it.
