A5 Hotel in Tbilisi

The hotel is centrally located, behind the busy Rustaveli Avenue. 1min walk to Opera & Ballet Theatre around the corner. Top floor breakfast has a nice panoramic view of Mtatsminda hill etc.

The staff could be warmer than this frigid winter though. Hotel interior needs some renovation. Bedroom curtains were hanging loose off the rail and nobody did anything to rectify it (they should pay me for putting it back! -:p )
The bathroom was the WORST aspect with SEWER smell. Even closing the bathroom door couldn’t help the foul smell wafting into bedroom. Checked out after 2nd night.

Breakfast was average. Service was not very good. When we first arrived, we were given a room where the light could not be turned on, and the whole room had a strange smell of toilet. We talked to the front desk, and the woman at the front desk refused to change the room, insisting that there was no problem with the room, and called her male colleague to go up and fix it. After the first check, the man said there was no problem, so we took the luggage up to the room again, but the light still did not turn on, so we went down to the lobby to report the problem again. As a result, the woman called her ** to check again, and this time when we went up together, the man also thought that there was something wrong with the power supply system in the room, agreed that we needed to change rooms, and reported the situation to the woman. After listening, the woman scolded her colleague in a very angry attitude and in the local language, and then reluctantly changed our room. The hot water system was not very stable. I don't think this hotel deserves four stars.

Hotel is OK, nothing fancy. Rooms are a bit older but well maintained. We made a last minute reservation which was very cheap in location we wanted. During the checkin we find out the breakfast is from 10am, but we needed to leave earlier, a bid dissapointment with very strange breakfast time.
