We've booked the Meininger Hotel three times now because of its proximity to the airport. It's only a 10-minute walk to Terminal 2, and the S-Bahn (suburban train) is just 150 meters away. There are parking spaces on the main road. There are McDonald's and supermarkets along the main road near the river. It takes about 2-30 minutes to walk to the city. The old city is not big. There is Marx's former residence.

Wonderful park, very nice set up just as on the pictures! We stayed in the area close to the woods which is the prettiest part but the other part is nice as well, just a bit further walk from everything. The facilities are splendid: great indoor swimming pool, nice indoor playground with crafts every day around 10, fab bowling area with blacklight and music, little shop with mainly souvenirs, swimwear...

Cosy hotel for families with young children! Free cultural events in high season at the Kleinkunstbühne with pub. Highly recommended as the whole landscape is cultural somehow "dead". Empty streets in the evening in WR, GS, Bad Harzburg, Halberstadt etc.

Like many places in the area, it seems understaffed. But the staff is friendly and accommodating....2 years later...We stayed a week in the village. It's over priced and under staffed! We have the Honeymoon room and I love it! Due to our own error, we arrived for the 2nd day of our booking. The receptionist and manager helped us out, however, and treated us very well. Front desk very helpful, offered water or shot of jagermeister! Modern decor with just the basics. Great pricing, walking around many restaurants, cafés, and supermarkets. I didn't mind the smaller rooms, actually it's amazing what they pack into the area.

This is a basic hotel with clean and well maintained rooms at affordable prices. It is not fancy or modern. Personnel is very friendly and happy to help. Location is just around the corner from most sites in Wittenberg. The breakfast buffet is very good and highly recommendable.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was very pleasant. Quiet and easy access. Room layout and amenities were functional and suffice a trip on business. Ample parking space, however, when occupancy rate is high then it becomes an issue. Was surprised that the city water supply is not hard water. Housekeeping is very diligent that cleans twice a day... Definitely my choice of stay for my next trip!

Good location (5 min to the sea), clean and calm beach, friwndly stuff. However overall its boring for young couples or groups. Best suited for elderly people and families with small kids. We couldn't find good food there (best to go on a car/bike to explore restaurants outside the hotel). The beach bar has tiny menu and closes at 6pm which is awful. After 8-9pm no chance to find good around.

This hotel is a little bit far away from train station but quite close to the old town. It's a 2 stars hotel therefore, on the whole the cleanliness is acceptable. Hotel is just beside Central station can heard the sound throughout whole night. Surrounding is not safe for a solo female. Furthermore, the room door is loose and open easily. Amenities is old. Reception service staff is rule, although already 3pm the room not ready for check in.

The hotel is in a good location, in the city center, with complete facilities and a Chinese restaurant within a few minutes' walk. The guy at the front desk was very polite and enthusiastic. The room was newly renovated and clean. The underground parking lot below the hotel is operated by a third party, and the parking fee is 12 euros/night, which is a bit unexpected.
