The hotel was very nice but the communication of the front reception leaves you feeling like you’re on your own because they never answer the phone, are often missing and never look at their inbox. There were several times we tried to call them because we had booked two nights and could not reach the city due to circumstances not in control as we got stranded in another town, they would not refund us, which is okay as we didn’t buy the cancellation but ******* tried to contact them so many times and they could not get a hold of anyone at the reception or via email. If you stay here, ask all your questions if you happen to find someone at the desk in the first place, we had to wait 30 minutes because no one was available to check us in.

It's definitely an old house. Very old wooden floors. Very old decor. The furniture is old and dark. It's time for a new one. The location near the city gate is convenient. The price is relatively reasonable for the area. Moving luggage around in a house without an elevator is difficult. There's a small free parking lot behind the house, which is sufficient. Walnuts keep falling from the trees.

The room is clean and tidy, a few dozen meters away from the city wall and very close to the train station. The only drawback is that the quilt is a bit thick. It is too hot when covered and cold when not covered. Everything else is good.

Not the fanciest or most modern property but comfortable clean rooms wIth easy walking access to the old walled Rothenburg. We had no issues and the location was perfect!

Two nights stay
This hotel is not a boutique hotel and doesn't claim to be so, its traditional and a bit quirky, but clean, comfortable, in a great location with parking as a plus

There is a difference between old and antique; this hotel is truly old. If you have no other choice, you can choose this hotel. Although it sounds nice to be located just outside the city walls, you can find other hotels in the center of the old town. I cannot comment on the food and beverage options because we did not receive this service, but the smell of oil coming from the kitchen was disturbing.

Facilities: This historic villa features spacious rooms and quaint decor.
Cleanliness: Clean.
Environment: Conveniently located a few dozen meters from the outer city gate.
Service: Upon check-in, a lovely elderly man introduced the living environment and facilities. The elderly man and the old house complement each other beautifully.

Because Rothenburg is an ancient city full of romance, we specially chose a B&B. The owner of the B&B is an older couple who happened to live in the attic room, which made the experience quite special!
