Dont go to this hotel if you're gonna forget your stuff after checkout. Someone is going to steal it.
I left my powerbank and called 5 times, only to be told no one found it. Dont take my words for it, you can test and find out someone will steal your stuff after checkout if you leave it in the room.
Dear Booking.com Team and Hotel management,
I am writing to report a very disappointing experience with Elbroich Hotel Düsseldorf regarding my stay for 24–25 October 2025 (reservation no. 5462090656).
The booking was made by a friend on his Booking.com account to help me, but I personally paid him for the full amount.
On the day of arrival, I was delayed because two of my trains were late due to schedule disruptions. Of course, I wanted to arrive earlier and rest, but it was completely beyond my control.
I arrived at the hotel around 01:20 a.m. When I arrived, the main door was locked, and although I rang the bell many times and called both phone numbers posted at the entrance (landline and mobile) repeatedly, no one answered.
I waited outside in the cold and rain for about 1.5 hours. Later, another hotel guest kindly let me into the building, but the reception was completely empty. I rang the bell again, but no staff appeared all night.
I had no choice but to wait in the corridor until the next morning, around 10 a.m., when a cleaning staff member arrived. She helped me by calling the manager on a video call, so I could finally speak with him.
The manager was very rude and unfriendly, blamed me for arriving late (even though I had no prior information that check-in ended at midnight), and refused to offer any help or refund.
When I mentioned that I would write a review about my experience, he even threatened me, saying that their lawyer would take action if I wrote anything negative online.
This behavior is unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Moreover, I never received the service I paid for, as I could not stay in the room at all.
Therefore, I kindly request a full refund for this booking due to the lack of service and the hotel’s misconduct.
I can also provide screenshots of my call logs showing the repeated calls I made that night as proof.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support.
Best regards,
Yasin Ultash
Curtain/door and quite musty smell. Bed was good.
