Hotels with sea view in Kato Gouves

There is nice swimmingpools and litte beach in front of hotel. Beach is not like one of the great greece beaches, but very suitable, if you have a small child, because the sea is not deep at that point

Good location, atmosphere is amazing, all the staff are very friendly and i really liked the room with a sea view. In short, I definitely recommend this place

Beachfront resort in a very convenient location, just a short distance from the airport. Large private parking area available free of charge

The property has been recently renovated: the common areas are spacious, well designed and, above all, extremely clean, with staff constantly working to maintain every area spotless

There are 5 swimming pools, including a mini waterpark for children, making the resort perfect for families, fully reflecting the SOL by Meliá brand standards

A special thank you to the waitresses Georgia and Antigoni, who were serving our section. Besides being professional and extremely efficient, just like the rest of the staff, they always had a smile on their faces

We went from a room with garden view, to a room with semi sea view. If I would have paid for sea view, I would have thought it a waste of my money

The room was supposed to have a sea view & we had to contact reception 3 times for a switch to the correct room. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful

We made a complaint to the reception regarding our glass toilet door making an aweful noise when opening and closing as it was getting caught on something 3 times we reported it and was told nothing wrong with it

i took a video to reception of the door and now small shards of glass. they soon took notice and repaired the fault. Booked a massage/ they changed the time to fit other ppl in so moved our appointment

The manager of the spa was so rude and continually smirked at us. Finally had our couples massage it was lovely and we left them a tip as it was their fault

There's a few things that might leave me wonder where the 5th star is coming from but on the whole a nice hotel

The staff are great here everyone very friendly, Sypro’s at the pool bar looked after us really well and went over and above and made the best cocktails! Thank you! Also the lady at breakfast with red and black braids she was very cheerful every morning always in high spirits

There isn’t that much going on in the town/village but we started off getting taxis to the main places but then rented a car from across the hotel for €130 for 5 days which saved us lots of money, as it’s around €25 each way to get to an from the main towns near by

We went half board which was good we were happy because they said we can swap evening meal for lunch which worked for us as we like to eat out in different places in the evening

We didn’t manage to make it but the Greek night at knossos in the village looked and sounded great, we went on a normal night and the owners were so welcoming so give that ago

Hotel is good food, good variety with all all inclusive hotel food it’s a little samey but I can’t complain

Cretan blue restaurant is amazing too but a 25 minute drive away

Food is nice but only 1 restaurant available during low season

They had fantastic vegan options at all the restaurants we visited from the breakfast buffet, to the Blue Monkey, Xasteria and Minotaur which we truly appreciated. The property was beautifully maintained

The place is very clean, stylish and a real 5-star hotel. We went to free Pilates session & cookie session. Service is very accommodating, sauna open specially for us untill 21:00 instead of 18:00

We enjoyed our stay. All the hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel is extremely family friendly. The only downside was the limited variety of fruits available at breakfast.

As is typical in Greece, some of the area isn't so pretty, with derelict and unfinished buildings, especially if you go left along the seafront. We had a great holiday and would recommend!!

I had a shoulder impingement and I am now able to move my shoulder and arm so much better! My daughter had a relaxing massage by Ifigeneia and she found it amazing and extremely relaxing. We would highly recommend both!!

We stayed at this hotel for a week and we really enjoyed it despite a few issues. The room was not best part of the stay as it had many issues. We stayed in a swim up room in the new building and the room was very modern

Stayed for 1 week in this beautiful, clean well maintained hotel. We booked a swim up room which was absolutely glorious. We were very lucky as our room had the sun all day whereas the majority of others didn't

Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good, if you go to hotels and like to be Entertained. They spoke French, English and German the entertainers. Kids Entertainment and kids club

Fortunately, the swim up area was very nice with lots of space! We visited the hotel in October and the temperature of the pool was quite cold but we found a rooftop pool in a nearby building which was warmer

The beach with the sea right across the road from the resort, so it was a great location! The sea was beautiful, clean and the beach was also the cleanest I have ever seen

The staff was nice and helpful, the rooms were beautifully cleaned every day, the food was very very tasty. Overall, the hotel was clean, the pools were clean, the sunbeds were washed regularly, as were the sidewalks

Since the all-day animation programs were full of various activities and a different special program every evening, we didn't have time to go see much anywhere else, it was so delicious and fun

We took our water shoes, but in the end they were not needed, as the beach was just clean sand, nothing else. A shop with groceries and other things right next to the resort if not part of it

Thalia is an amazing host! She gives the best advice helps with everything you need nothing is too small she goes out of her way to help and make you feel accommodated really recommend this hotel

The Vasia is a very nice and modern hotel. I don't fully understand when they serve al a carte and when a buffet for the dinner, but the staff is really nice and they try to fulfill all of your needs and wishes

My room was on the top (4th) floor so lovely views. I expected an inland view and was surprised to find I had a sea view which was a treat

The hotel kittens are pure joy! Loved them so much!! The negatives are expensive drinks in the hotel and not much locally to do, the closest shop was a little walk away and I’m not shy of a good walk

There were 2 separate pools, I chose the one further from the bar and had many hours with no one sitting near me- perfect. So peaceful for reading, relaxing and napping should you so desire

Easy staying for eat and lay down near the pool, it’s more for old people in my opinion but there are big food portions and nice bar area with sea view.

We arrived late and they had a packed sandwich and fruit for us and offered a complimentary hot or alcoholic drink. The food was so tasty and plenty of options

Breakfast is continental, but ask and they will cook something for you eg full breakfast or omelette. Staff really lovely and very helpful and friendly. You can buy snacks at the bar till 4pm

We had lovely breakfasts and the service was fab and I am sorry to say I have forgot the lady’s name who served us with meals and at the bar but she was lovely. Lovely pool and comfy sunbeds

We read reviews of the blue sky before we booked. Brillant place for a relaxing holiday, arrived 1st October to the 12th October 2025

The star of the show however is Savas who helped us check in late at night and was there from late afternoon every day - great to chat to, had a some superb local tips, really friendly and super useful knowledge and info

Maria and her staff are brilliant, breakfasts were good quality and delivered really fast. The pool is small but appropriate to the hotel sized, never felt too crammed even with 9 or 10 kids in playing

Great location for wandering to the main strip of Kato Gouves, even better for the beach and shops, and just a 15 minute walk to the main road for the excellent but services to the likes of Heraklion, Agios Nikolaus and Hersonissos

Location- very close proximity to the sea, some sandy and rocky beaches within few minute walk

If you don’t want to sit near the pool there is a grass area a bit further away where you can lay on the sun bed and it’s a lot more quiet. Rooms in the main building are clean and comfortable

The pool is quite big and there's always room to swim. A beach with stones is just about 100m away trought the garden, on the other side of the street. A small bay-y sand beach is away

Staff- they go above and beyond to help you and meet needs of families with babies. They offered to prepare food for our 6 month old without any salt and blended it

Reception and restaurant staff always greet you with a smile and make conversations. Lift in the main building which makes it easier with the pram

The room was nice. Service: Very good, a day's life is worry-free, renting a car and staying here is extremely cost-effective

We stayed for 5 nights and I highly recommend this place. The owner was very friendly and helped us with everything. The swimming pool and the garden were amazing. A quiet sandy beach is nearby

Also they had very clean rooms and nice mattress. It's a small family run business so anything you need you can ask them, they were super helpful

I want this review to be as accurate as possible from our experience. We have stayed a week AI, before start of the season. Hotel was only half full first four days and the fullish last 3 days

Overall an enjoyable stay and I would recommend. Just to add, we paid for a meal the first day and the quality and freshness was exceptional (great seafood, fresh salad)

I've just returned from the most peaceful relaxing & refreshing 7 days at these apartments. The location is right on the seafront

I can't imagine how this place manages during the season , all staff runs between tables and behind the bar being rushed by management

The hotel is really clean, as is the pool and bar area. The owner is great, he is really relaxed and asks nothing of you other than if you're enjoying your stay, he is very attentive to anything you need too

The location is great, it is less than two minutes from the beach, restaurants, shops etc and is still nice an quiet. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and cannot fault it in any way

Great stay and owner was so friendly and helpful couldn't have done more for us. Also very clean and the cleaner was there every day with regular changing of bedding and fresh towels

Very close to the beach and all the wonderful restaurants. If you stay here, be sure to eat at Phillipo's just down the road. Phillipo is wonderful man and they have excellent food

LOVED our stay at the Cosmi! The rooms are clean, the pool is amazing, Nico the owner, is a great guy and he also makes excellent Frappes, ice cream sundaes and toasties

Even tho it was all-inclusive we were supposed to have only one drink per person, what is pretty frustrating when you are enjoying day in pools that are 5 min per walk away and you have to go there all the time

We stayed here for a week (all inclusive) Rooms - quite nice room, nothing to complain about regarding dispositions or furniture. We had issue with doors, that were not locking - resolved in an hour

Missing toilet paper and shower gel were also resolved, but we had to remind them twice. Service - in general it was really good, but in bar we had experienced not really nice service

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel So we will start with the positives first ▪️upon arrival at around 10:30pm we were greeted by a helpful man on reception who checked us in quickly and offered us food for us and our 3 children

Were unsure if it was from the pork with vegetables or the beef with tomatoes as these are the only dishes that he ate and me and the children didn't. Both dishes were repeated daily as were alot of the other dishes

The room was cleaned regularly and fresh towels were provided every other day. ▪️The pool was clean and there was plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. They also allow inflatables which is great for the children

Breakfast was very basic and the coffee was awful. ▪️although there is a sign saying the pool area gets slippy when wet i thought i wouldn't mention this for people who are thinking of going with children

▪️The room we found to be clean with good air-conditioning and nice shower facilities, yes the kitchen area is a little dated however serves the purpose with a good sized fridge for our water

Now the negatives ▪️unfortunately on the second day my husband got food poisoning which put a real dampener to the first few days of our holiday as he couldnt get off the toilet

the complex has a very nice cosy and small local village feel to it too with everything close by. great library of books, pool table, good tv for sport, games for around the pool and indoors

the food at the snack bar is fantastic and the breakfast is brilliant. everything from a full English to Greek yoghurt with honey. personal fave is the special omelette

we have had the most wonderful week stay at the ourania. a very warm welcome from the amazing host, Cally, who has amazing english and is really good fun too

1 litre of water is a euro from the bar fridge so you don't need to go far if you do not want to. you can cook food if you want to but the breakfast kept us going until dinner time

I am here with my parents and two children and we have a 2 bedroom apartment which is very spacious and has a lovely size balcony I like that the pool area isn’t always too full and the food around the pool is beautiful so worth the money I would definitely come back the staff are friendly and attentive when there is any problem

This hotel is just a 10 minute walk away from the beach and endless amazing bars and restaurants, but also tucked away enough that it is quiet at night. All the cats were also a plus 🥰
