Description

Rodos Palace Hotel is a large 5-star resort built in 1974 and renovated in 2009, offering 785 rooms spread across multiple buildings including a 20-story tower. Its rooms come with views of the sea or tropical gardens and range from Standard Double rooms to Presidential Villas and VIP Suites with private pools. The hotel features five restaurants and seven bars, with one buffet-style restaurant and several fine dining options. Families will find kid-friendly facilities such as a freshwater outdoor children’s pool (50m², 25-65 cm deep), a mini-club for ages 4-12, and a playground. The hotel also offers a congress center for up to 4,000 people, multiple pools including an indoor pool, and a wide variety of paid sports and wellness activities like tennis, squash, sauna, massage, and diving. Wi-Fi is available for a fee. Guests can expect spacious rooms, though some reviews mention dated decor and maintenance issues. Service quality varies, with some praising staff friendliness and others noting rudeness.

Location

Rodos Palace is located in Ixia, Greece, just 9 km from Diagoras Airport and 4 km from Rhodes city center. The hotel sits on the first beachfront line, with a 4 km long public sand and pebble beach only 50 meters away, accessible via an underpass beneath the main road. Nearby dining options include Elysee Taverna and Ideal Snack Bar within 200-250 meters. The Mineralogy Museum is 2.9 km from the hotel, making it convenient for cultural visits. Although the hotel is close to local shops and eateries, some guests find the walk to the city center lengthy and recommend transportation for convenience.

Tips

  • Book a room in the renovated sections or higher floors like the tower for better views and updated decor.
  • Arrive early for breakfast to avoid long queues, especially during busy periods.
  • Consider renting a car or taxi for easier access to Rhodes city center and nearby attractions, as the hotel is about 4 km from downtown and walking can be lengthy.

Stayed at Rodos Palace for a long weekend with mates, honestly loved it. Rooms were clean and way bigger than I expected, bed was comfy and the AC actually worked (big plus). The pool area is huge, perfect for chilling after the beach, and the hotel’s private beach strip made it super easy to go for a swim without fighting crowds. Breakfast had loads of options, from fruit and yogurt to proper fried eggs, fuel for a full day of exploring. Location’s solid too, a short ride into Rhodes town so you get both quiet vibes and nightlife when you want it. Staff were friendly and helped sort a taxi for us when our plans changed last minute. Good value for what you get, would totally go back. 10/10. Anastasia from guest relations - yamas. Very friendly, very professional.

Do not come here if your younger than 40 years of age
Do not come here if you have children especially picky eaters!
We stayed for 5 nights was a terrible experience, nothing is as it says!
There is no point of all inclusive as the drinks are limited, the food is horrible,it’s all a bunch of mush there isn’t even fries or anything that would accommodate for picky eaters other than bread and butter!
It is definitely some type of pensioners hotel no offence it is FULL of old people every bad review is correct! My partners jewellery was taken from the room after we had the do not disturb sign on and when we spoke to reception they then sent the cleaners back the next day to ask can they come in and look. On top of that when the jewellery was took they didn’t even clean the room the only made the bed and then told us if we don’t have proof they can’t accuse the staff and then proceeded to ask for the certificate which came with the jewellery!
It’s pushing a 3/5!
Everyone looks bored you have to pay for everything the all inclusive drinks stop at 11pm and the pick and choose when ur all inclusive can be used. Food isn’t very hot the best thing about the hotel is probably them driving us up to our room.
Literally nothing to do
The snack bar isn’t open, either is the cafe that’s supposed to all inclusive
Overall it’s just a bad hotel do not come!
We ordered food ever night because there was a longggg line every day for dinner + the wait is not worth it for the food they serve!
Multiple staff members have agreed that the hotel is not up to 5* standards and I personally think that’s enough said
(Added the picture of the line one night)

Recently returned from 10 days at Rodos Palace.
Hotel looked good upon arrival but rooms very disappointing, old and worn. Our room was fairly clean, but my brothers was not. Lots of mould in bathroom..
Cleaners accidentally left our room door open 2 days running, I reported to reception, giving them a chance to improve.
Restaurant was a nightmare !! So chaotic and noisy, not a pleasant experience. Staff very busy of course but not much welcome, a few were good...During the time we were there, there were 2 conferences a wedding, and then a Chess tournament ...
Obviously this increased the numbers at mealtime, significantly.
A la Carte Restaurant was good and staff lovely, only wish the 'oriental' meal had been chinese, though the Italian was very good.
Staff elsewhere were very hit or miss as to attitude ! Completely 'blanked' my brother at the bar 1 night, even though he was trying to make conversation with them.
Some staff were very rude to guests, thankfully not us, but could be overheard at the pool bar
being very nasty.
Unfortunately, We will not return to this hotel, and couldn't honestly recommend. I get it some people enjoyed it, but the bad outweighed the good for us.

An amazing experience!!! My partner and I's trip was right in the middle of August, and even with it being the high-season, everything was top notch. The view is gorgeous, the food is great, the rooms and common areas luxurious, and the staff is pristine. Ms Eirini at the VIP lounge was especially welcoming and accommodating. The spa is very nice as well. The location offers proximity to the city centre w/o all the noise of one, and a plethora of amazing restaurants in walkable distance (it is quite a walk to the city centre though so a car/cab/etc is preferable in that case). There are also small shops in the hotel which is very convenient and their staff is really kind as well. We barely got to see half of what the hotel has to offer, but everything we did was impeccable. Would definitely recommend!!!

Looking for a nightmare vacation? You've come to the right place!
We read the comments - we couldn't believe it. The price convinced us... and we made the mistake of a lifetime.

We're here for 9 nights in the old wing:
Looks like a hotel from the 80's without proper maintenance
Smelly hallways of dirty carpets.

The room looks like an abandoned warehouse - scratched parquet, a broken refrigerator next to a new refrigerator, an air conditioner that makes a noise like an airplane but cools like a burning candle (and also puts out dust!), a sunken bed, a broken toilet, broken sockets, a balcony door that doesn't lock, broken lighting, a clogged sink, and a floor that hasn't heard a mop in years.

The reception? They smile and say "come in the morning... maybe they'll free up some rooms." In the meantime - we sleep three nights without air conditioning.
reception, lobby, dining room and public areas are all crowded.
Breakfast with a thousand people, all industrial.
Don't do this to yourself.

I'm writing to share my experience during my recent stay at your hotel. Overall, I found it to be a nice place in a great location. The food was decent, and the general atmosphere was enjoyable. However, a significant issue on the last day of my vacation greatly impacted my impression.
On our final day, without any prior notice, the hotel closed off 75% of the pool area for an external event. This came as a complete surprise and was incredibly frustrating. Imagine being on your last day of vacation, wanting to relax by the pool, only to find most of the available space suddenly gone. There was no information about this change anywhere in the hotel, which made it impossible to plan accordingly.
When we approached the staff about this, they simply shrugged and told us it wasn't their decision, suggesting we could go to the beach instead. This response felt dismissive and unhelpful, especially since we had paid for an all-inclusive stay to enjoy the hotel's amenities. Being forced to go to the public beach meant not only giving up the service we paid for but also having to pay an additional €30 for sunbeds.
This unexpected and poorly handled situation cast a negative shadow over what was otherwise a pleasant stay. I had planned to rate my experience a 7 out of 10, but because of this incident and the lack of communication from the staff, I am giving it a 5 out of 10. I hope you will consider how such decisions affect your guests and ensure better communication in the future.

We payed extra for a room with a double bed and view of the garden. All we saw was the roof that stretches out towards the garden and the room had two single beds. We had to ask 5-7 times over the span of two days for new beds or a new room, but ended up pushing them together ourselves, only for the housekeeping to put them back.

This is NOT a 5-star hotel, 3 at BEST. Do not waste your money here.
27.08.2025 Einat
There is no variety in the food, the food does not change and every day it is the same. The pool is small and not adapted to the number of vacationers
15.08.2025 Mihail
Beautiful hotel in convenient location. Customer service excellent. Elevators not all working and has to walk down 15 flights of stairs. 1 elevator never worked at all. A/C didn’t work properly. Kept turning off and switch would not turn back on. I believe the switch plate needed to be replaced. Beautiful breeeze of the ocean accommodated for lack of proper a/c.
25.07.2025 Thomas
No conditioner for your hair, no soap, no iron to iron clothes since we were attending a wedding
Cleaning ladies did not speak English or Greek
