Best Hotels in Athens

If you choose to walk, all the tourist sites are a mere 15-20 minutes away by foot. The hotel itself is new, very clean, and has excellent amenities and service. We would definitely stay again if we return to Athens

My stay at Alba Athens Hotel was excellent. The room was exceptionally spacious, air-conditioned, and very clean. It also had a safe and a fridge stocked with drinks

Clean and comfortable place. We had a good time at this hotel. The Hotel location is nice as it is within walking distance to Monastiraki square ( about 10 minutes).

Another place that does not look like the pictures posted. The rooms are tight and the patio upstairs not available at all. Good to sleep with convenient and safe parking next to

Day one, we walked all the way to the otherside which is about 2 miles each way. Day 2, took metro (10 min from hotel to the tourist area of Athens. Even had a poloce inquire if anybody was bothering us

A fun enjoyable walk to near by places like restaurants and shops. Would definitely come back to here again. Definitely will also recommend to anyone who comes to visit. The shuttle service was great

The breakfast was excellent, a wonderful variety of different dishes and fresh. The rooms were very clean and the service was top notch. The facilities were also in excellent condition

The first time we visited, we were close to many touristic views within walking or short cab ride distance which made it easy and fun to plan. The second time we used the hotel as a night layover for a different flight

I had a wonderful stay at the Iris hotel. The staff was very friendly, professional and they went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The hotel was in a great location and close to the train station

It was a very nice equipped apartment! The only problem is, at weekend the bar opposite the hotel, has live music! So take oropax with you. The breakfast was delivered in time and it was enough to start in the day

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights as a girls escape. The bathroom was really small and there’s no counter space in it. The location was close to the Metro and famous attractions

Be careful about coming back to late in the evening. The sidewalk/roads get pretty dark. If we stayed again, we hope we’d get a larger room

We had such an AMAZING stay at the Pinnacle. The hotel was charming, the personnel so thoughful, helpful and happy to be there. The decoration and ambiance in the room was beautiful, cozy and relaxing

The cuisine was well equiped and clim/warm were quiet and worked perfectly. I really recommend you the Pinnacle, you will be received like a Queen/King

Amazing location yet there were some constructions when I was there so it was hard to get with a taxi all the way to the entrance of the hotel a lot of lively restaurants bars, nearby, walking distance you can see there we from rooftop beautiful

I loved this hotel, especially the location. It was close to the Piazzale Roma which is the drop off for the bus from the airport and close to the people mover if taking that to a cruise

The location was excellent, in the Plaka area. Very safe to walk in the area. Good air conditioning, comfortably beds, rooms are kind of small. Got a room with two twin beds

But the water is a consistent temperature and heats up easily. The staff were very helpful and kind. There's a fabulous cafe for breakfast that costs less than the hotel just a few blocks away called Aioli

Fabulous view of the Acropolis and surrounding area. The rooftop restaurant- The View, was very good. The breakfasts each morning were wonderful. All staff were friendly and very attentive

Have had relaxing time sitting at the balcony overlooking to the great acropolis. Nice view and such a strategic location to all sightseeing places. Hotel owners personalized reception is impressive

It’s a short walk to the nearest metro station and only slightly farther to most of the sights I wanted to see. Having a balcony overlooking Apostolou Pavlou was very pleasant as we wound down in the evening

The staff at the hotel knows how to make you feel welcome. They anticipated most of our needs and learned our habits, which is one distinct advantage to staying in a boutique hotel

Desk girls are smiling, cleaning ladies are willing to help, room is heated well, hot water comes so fast, hotel location is perfect and the view of church is amazing. Rooms are good designed very convenient

We love the location and the terrace. They let us store our luggage. Excellent service.

We inform the hotel about that and they warn the bar. Also there is no discount at the bar in the evening only in the morning for the hotel stuff. Hotel inform you before stay for everything

Only problem is our room was 5th floor under the roof top bar. At 5am in the morning some noises come from the bar sounds of cleaning and tidying up the place (like chair moving)

It’s centrally located in Athens, within walking distance to all major attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and a convenience store nearby

Good price and location not far away from a Subway station and easy to find. Apartment has a fridge, microwave. I recommend it for people who are willing to pay a bit more than hostels, per night per person

Additionally, the evening before our departure, they informed us about a two-day taxi strike in Athens. If they hadn’t told us, we would have missed our ferry. Thanks to them, we avoided a major issue

The only issue was some humidity in the house, but it was manageable thanks to the two air conditioners. The staff was available 24/7 and responded immediately whenever we needed assistance

Very central which comes at a cost of being able to sleep. The room we were in was right above restaurants that would play loud music until 3am. The TV and the bed frame was broken. So take that for what you will

They let us check in early and also when our flight got delayed, let us leave our bags in the lobby for an hour while we ate outside post check out. The hospitality was truly amazing

Breakfast is very very very tasty! There is someone playing piano during breakfast time, which is a huge bonus for me! It’s clean, but the bathtub isn’t clean. But I don’t use that so that’s fine

My Husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. Hands down the best & friendliest service we received the whole trip! Rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. One of our rooms had a beautiful view of the Acropolis

We ate in the rooftop restaurant which had the same view of the Acropolis and was very reasonably priced and very good. The hotel is walking distance to many of Athens sites and experiences

But the very best part was the breakfast bar. Standard hot breakfast foods plus many local greek foods and pastries! Very convenient walk to the Acropolis and major sites

I do not believe they have a kitchen on site and therefore the food was not fresh looking and fresh made. The roof terrace was closed due to being ‘off season’. All in all it was good value for money

It was clean and staff were friendly but just had a few issues. I stayed in the private room, which is in the courtyard so you hear everything from people in the courtyard and main floor

For me, the location was perfect, within easy walking distance to where I needed to be. There are nice coffee shops nearby. It’s a hostel, not a hotel, adjust expectations accordingly

Lovely woman at reception. Convenient area, close to Metro Station, Plaka, Acropolis, and much more. Omonia is a bit gritty. Try not to go more than three or four blocks north of the fountains.

Although it’s pretty hard to figure out how to make calls using the phone there is no need to stress! Young children who are also staying at the hotel will call you so that you can be sure your phone works! This may happen at anytime so it’s good to always be vigilant and ready to accept calls

My friends divorced at this hotel and I learnt that the balcony and the chairs in the hall are both excellent venues for crying and sulking over stolen hair products. Overall great for school trips or large groups

There are several good local restaurants on either side of the walk downstairs, all with excellent food, especially a very large bakery where we ate for three consecutive days – they had a wide variety of choices

Very convenient location in Plaka close to Santygma station. Staff very helpful and breakfast very nice. However it does get very noisy at night as there are bars in the vicinity that stay open late.

The bathroom's toilet is too close to the wall and I felt a bit squeezy. Space is valuable in a busy metro area. You can hear a street noise before 11pm but it almost vanished afterwards

I stayed at room 205. Some of the ceiling lights were flickering and was not fixed. The worse thing is the noise during breakfast at the terrace above. It’s very very disturbing
