Alexis Hotel in Chania Town

Stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and had a very relaxing time. The staff are friendly from those at reception to the wonderful lady that welcomes you for breakfast each morning. The hotel has a family feel. I would happily recommend the hotel and its location. It has easy access to the beach and when at the beach, there are some great places to eat. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant with great staff (Nico was amazing). The view from the restaurant is stunning.

Great hotel,very clean and friendly staff.The only problem is you have to walk up a hill to reach the hotel.We booked transfers with Love holidays so not sure of transfer company.We were dropped late at night with luggage in the dark and told to walk up, same on pick up to airport.Would not recommend for elderly or disabled as steps to reception.You can get a taxi for 10 euro to the Venetian harbour or use the local bus.Nice restaurant for Breakfast or Evening meal.

The hotel is located at the top of a hill with wonderful views of the ocean, beaches, Chania and the mountains. It is quiet and not too big so the service felt very personal. The beach is a quick walk downhill and - in the case of the Golden Beach - very shallow and safe. Our room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. We greatly enjoyed the balcony, too. An extra bed for our kid was provided quickly even though out travel agency had not passed on the request. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and the room was always turned out neatly by the chambermaids. Not easy when we brought back quite a bit of sand from the nearby beach! The breakfast buffet and lovely a la carte dinner made the stay truly memorable.

The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and the view is nice, we had partial seaview. The restaurant is very good, highly recommend vegetarian moussaka and prawns. We enjoy walking, thus the location was perfect, for us everything was easily accessible even without car.

I spent 4 nights here at start and end of my holiday and enjoyed my stay. Friendly, welcoming staff. My rooms were good, spacious, very clean, very comfortable king size bed with firm mattress. With outside balcony. Very quiet except for the occasional late night noise from (inconsiderate) guests returning and banging doors. Excellent buffet breakfast, all you can eat. It is a good location if you prefer a quieter area out of the centre. It is convenient to get into Chania old city by local bus or taxi (€6). Lovely beaches 10-15 minutes walk away. Local cafes. The hotel is on a hill so up from the main road and down to the beach. Hotel has a lift, stairs up to reception.

Comfortable beds, good location to seesight the city, warm water, excellent breakfasts, nice staff, nice room, good aircondition, when close the window it is quiet to sleep, but very often noises from the corridor

A lovely small hotel with the nicest of staff, everyone so helpful and happy it was a pleasure. The room was good, we would have liked a bath but the shower was good. The reataurant was superb and the breakfast offered good variety. The walk into town was OK for a fairly fit older person but walking back after dark would be tricky across the unmade up track. So saying, taxis were readily available and affordable. We loved it and definitely recommend to everyone

For our honeymoon, we decided to stay at Alexis hotel and our stay was absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly, always available for help and questions, the room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is a bit outside of Chania center but there’s a free bus transfer every 20 minutes during the week and we have been able to enjoy the landscape and the beach around Chania and the hotel. The restaurant attached to the hotel (Theodosi) is incredible. We gladly ate there every night. Breakfast is worth it too. If we ever come back to Crete, we will be back in Alexis hotel for sure!

Very pleased with stay. Reviews did not disappoint. Filling buffet breakfast with many hot and cold options. All fresh. Clean and comfy rooms with balcony and various door screens so that you can get air and keep bugs out. A/c was also available. Restaurant had good options and fairly good prices and portions. Gym area is limited and located in the reception area which can be a bit daunting but did see a gentlemen using it so better there than no where i guess.

We had a great time in this hotel.
Arrived late in the night, around 12 o clock and the reception was great.
The rooms are very clean and service impeccable.
The food at the restaurant was absolutely fantastic with a vast variety which was all amazing, excellent breakfast.
Nice and clean pool area.
We would definitely come here again.
