Hotel Pantheon, Kefalos in Kefalos

My family stayed at the hotel next door; the Pantheon View. Our hotel didn’t have food due to the families splitting the hotel into two (Pantheon View - bar, hotel, Pantheon - restaurant, hotel). This meant we came over for food on the evenings, the family are so nice and have a lovely little dog called Teddy. We got along with the family very well over the 2 weeks we were there and it was hard to say goodbye. They all speak english and are very friendly people that truly make you feel at home. The menus range in food and the food is absolutely delicious, every day they have a new desert of the day, I highly recommend the ice cream cakes, they are incredibly tasty. They have recently refurbished the two hotels and now have a modern look to them. 100% recommend, would love to go back.

We went to pantheon what can we say absolutely beautiful stunning view's this is a family run business , Janet , Panos, and their 2 children Sevi & Yanis . Nothing is too much for them and make you feel so welcome, This is set up in a hill which is lovely and quiet so if you struggle walking hiring a car to get about is perfect which you can hire at the hotel through Janet or Panos . We went with our family and our grandson Toby who absolutely loved them all . We will be returning to pantheon next year .The Cogle family .

Where do I start?

Our first time in Kos and what a trip to remember. We arrived here at pantheon hotel and was met by the lovely Janet, as time went on we got to meet more of the wonderful staff.. or should I say our new family. Janet, her husband and her two amazing kids run this side of the two hotels and create a fun, friendly but chilled atmosphere.

Despite being two hotels, you can use either side of the bars and seating areas. Allowing you to mix up the holiday vibe. The pool is shared and has a really good amount of sun beds, 10 or so in complete shade (all day) and 20-30 other sun-beds with shared parasols or complete sun (for the guests who sunbathe all day).

The rooms are good and air con is offered, we didn’t take too much notice of the room, because who spends their time on holiday sat in the room? The balcony on the other hand was just perfect.

The views are incredible all round the hotel, no matter where you are stood, you have a high rise view of the sea and surrounding islands, including from your balcony. Now with their new addition of the restaurant dining view, overlooking the sea and giving you a cooler location to eat.

The drink and food menu’s are just as we’d have liked. A good range of different foods and a specials menu which changes each day! And not to mention Sevi’ amazing banana bread and chocolate ice cream!! The drinks selection offers a good range of beers, ciders and cocktails. Or for the more younger/less drinking people, they have their range of soft drinks, juices, ice coffees, milkshakes and iced waters! Their bar snacks are equally as good, a huge range of crisps and chocolate biscuits.

Pantheon offer a car hire at a great price, fast simple and affective. It was easy to drive about the island as it is one road from start to finish, Kos town is a good place to go with a busy vibe, or if you’d like something quiet, we loved Kardemena. Along side the car hire they recommend trips done by Ztours and these can be paid for at a cheap price, but an amazing experience.. our recommendation being the Zia sunset tour. You can find these by the reception.

My wife found the book cupboard by the reception a really welcoming area, being able to swap and exchange books you’ve read whilst away, for another that someone has left before.

Janis (I hope I spelt that right), offered the cooler chilled evening/night experience where he will offer drinks and play chilled music for a relaxing vibe. As the sun sets, the breeze flows and the music plays, it’s a place to relax and unwind.

We will definitely be returning here and bringing our children to enjoy the next experience with us!

Never in my 37 years on this floating space rock we call earth, have I ever known a place where you can head out to the pool and be guaranteed sun loungers (yes, plural). The gaffer is a lovely lady named Janet. She has an incredible skill of being close by exactly when you need her. And virtually nothing is a bother for her. The family around her that make up the staffing of the pantheon make your stay here feel like you're not a guest, but almost a member of their family. I wrote this whilst sitting on their terrace for my second visit in as many years. If it is your first visit to Kos and you would like some ideas on the best places to visit, please ask Janet. She has printed out maps pinpointing nice places to visit and they are all lovely. Like dogs? Teddy has the run of the place and is sure to give you as friendly a welcome as Janet and the family. Food and drink prices are very fair considering the portion sizes. The rooms are spacious and clean. An all round lovely and relaxing experience.

It was fine! Janet was absolutely lovely, always making sure we were comfortable and good, very nice. The rest of the staff were also very kind. Dinner was great, there were plenty of food options (even as a vegetarian, which I was pleasantly surprised with). Breakfast, on the other hand, was pretty simple. It was the same every morning and for egg and fruit you had to pay extra. But what we had, tasted fine. The rooms were OK, except our toilet sort of broke on the last day. We also didn't love that the shower didn't have a curtain. The beds, however, were comfortable enough and the view (from our room) makes up for any uncomfortableness. If you're looking for a simple stay with friendly faces, Pantheon Studios is definitely a good option!

Travelling as a large family group with both an octogenarian and teenagers to please, we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Everything about The Pantheon is unforgettable. From the wonderful food, to the warm-hearted family, the breathtaking views, the amazing pool….I could go on. We will definitely be back! Thank you Janet & Maria & your kids - you are simply fabulous.

Wonderful welcome from Janet which was the start of a lovely week at the Pantheon. The best views ( full moon over the bay was stunning) from our balcony. The food was delicious and a great menu at Lunch & Dinner to choose from. All of the family looked after us so well and it was a wrench to leave. We will be back! Thanks and ‘Yamas’

Kos is a beautiful island but the pantheon made it so much better!! The room was perfect with everything you need, the view was absolutely stunning from wherever you where in the hotel and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. It felt like a home away from home. Gutted when we had to leave, but the pantheon is definitely somewhere to stay at ☺️ X
