Reykjavik, Sudurlandsbraut 2 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We loved staying at the Hilton Nordica! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast there was the best we had in the entire country
Super nice staff and multiple choice for breakfast. I will come back again next time
The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way, but it was only used as a stopover so it didn't matter too much, and for travelling around Reykjavik we recommend booking another Hilton Curio Select hotel
Beautiful hotel central location close to lots staff was great and hotel was clean!!
Though the hotel belongs to a high class hotel group but the room quite basic. Not much eateries or shops are around the area. Hence we took bus to those places
Great facility, free parking, good size room, clean, less than 10 mins drive to the city center.

The rooms were good and spacious, a little bit noisy because of the door between the two hotel rooms. Located perfectly in the city nothing is ever further than a 20 minute walk anyway
Very helpful staff and great room. We stayed here over the new year in room 457 which is a business class room. The room is spacious and quiet with comfortable beds. We had coffee, tea and complimentary chocolate
There is even robes and slippers in the closet. The food in the restaurant was exquisite and the service was excellent. The food is not cheap but worth it. Be sure to book your room including breakfast
It's a bit more expensive but completely worth it. There are all kinds of things, both cold and warm for every taste. One thing which needs a proper update is the wifi in the room
We basically had little to no connection in our room. Not that it mattered much for us, but I imagine it can be a problem for some
Great hotel. Wi-Fi reaches out to the Parking lot, the toilet is clean, the room did not happen?

This accommodation is quite well located, by walking for about 10mins able to reach a few places of interest in Reykjavik
Excellent and friendly staff! I stayed here as part of a tour package and I’m more than happy that I did. It’s conveniently located in Reykjavik and the staff were absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly
Great location: great harbour view, close to city centre, usually get picked up first for tours. cozy boutique feel.
The hotel is cosy and comfortable. The breakfast starts at 7am which is a little late if you've got some day tours booked as you usually need to be out early, but they allow you to take away which is very useful
You don't know what to expect looking at the hotel from the outside. It looks nice but quite basic. This ended up being a great choice. We loved the hip, laid-back vibe, the library, the staff, and our room
The room though slightly on the small side, but still able to open 2 big luggages (walking space got abit tighter but still manageable)

Great place! Lovely hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. Breathtaking views with fabolous and helpful staff. Can't imagine better place to spend time in when visiting Iceland. There is just No competition!
The best hotel in Lei City, with a good location, next to the sea view, ten minutes walk from the shopping festival, and next to the concert hall
The room is not big, Nordic style, very tidy and clean, with good sound insulation. Parking is at the door of the hotel, and there will be staff to help you park. The parking fee is very expensive, 400 RMB a day
Overall it's not bad, but it's a bit expensive when booking, and it's 600 cheaper when I came back to check
Great location, downtown but walking distance to main tourist attractions, main shopping street and nearby many restaurants. Rooms are very clean and well designed. The team was great and helpful, veryy responsive
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to everything making it easy to explore the area

Excellently located near downtown Reykjavik and the harbor. The rooms are as pictured, very clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient
Stylish hotel in a central location. Delicious breakfast. The Junior Suite was perfect for our family of 4. Would recommend!
very good hotel and nice location and very clean. Staff very nice and I enjoyed staying here.
Stayed here for 4 days and can only say positive things about this hotel. The check-in itself is very quick and straight forward. Rooms are not super big but big enough for two tall people :-) and have all the needs
This is a amazing place by the waterfront and a great way to spend the time in Reykjavik. The Hotel staff really friendly and service oriented. I enjoyed my stay with my kids in this hotel and would love to go back
Facilities: Decent, everything you should have but not there Hygiene: The laundry room is very clean Service: Service with a smile, no discrimination against Chinese

Pick up for the tours was only a few blocks away. Rooms and service were awesome as was the breakfast. Stayed 3 nights and would go back again and stay there in a heartbeat
We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoy our visit. Michelle at the front desk provided exceptional service and we will book again for our next visit.
The hotel is also central located. There is also free access to gym, sauna and outdoor hotspring too
I love the hotel location and cleanliness in the hotel room. It meets my expectations, and all is good.
I stayed in Alda Hotel for four nights. The hotel is situated at the city centre of Reykjavik which is very convenient. The room was well furnished and comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly and helpful
The hotel is very cosy and the staff are very attentive to our needs. We have stayed there for honeymoon and they gave us complimentary upgrades of room with free wine and chocolate which is pleasant surprise too

just wonderful and helpful always!!! Rooms were clean, beds comfy, and BREAKFAST was a wonderful experience of delights! I read another review mentioning some maintenance could be improved(which I would agree) but as with any home there is always something needing something
They somehow overbooked our accommodation so the room e wanted wasn't available. Malwina the lady working at the front desk worked to get us a room as it was very late. She accomplished it and we were very pleased
Front desk personnel was extremely helpful and friendly - both young ladies - one from Poland and one Hong Kong. Good breakfast, and Clean serviceable rooms. Bathroom is a bit small but definitely functional
This is my 2nd trip to Iceland in 18 months. For what I paid, this is good value. Not your Ritz or Marriott resort kind of accommodation which I've been to many times. All 8 of us in our group felt the same
Stayed five nights in March 2018. Pleasant stay, good room, bed, and breakfast was very satisfying. One drawback was the hotel is far from city center but close to a mall with everything we needed
Joyce Bertschinger here we (My BF & I ) stayed from Nov 13-17th. It was clean & comfortable! Breakfast was super, great! The four people we met working at the desk far exceeded our expectations

And the breakfast was one of the most amazing I’ve ever had! I’d go back just for that!! The berry juice was so good, and so much variety. The restaurant looks out over the lake. Area around the hotel very pretty
Room was very spacious and well appointed, if dated in style. Removed one star for a musty smell and the very weird decor, including a strange and out of place Mexico theme
Excellent staff and customer service! From check in to cocktails at the bar, it was a very enjoyable experience. Spacious room for our family of five.
Great view and facility and comfortable stay The facility is very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Excellent and friendly staff.
Amazing place, extremely clean, beautiful decor, would recommend this place over any hotel downtown
We try to ask the staffs to help but it’s really late ( we checked in after 11pm) staffs was not at the desk by the time we needed help with. We are group travel and the coffee in the room only has two capsules

Super clean hotel, wonderful breakfast, it's not very close to the center, but if you don't like walking 30 minutes there, you can take the bus that stops practically in front of the hotel. I highly recommend it.
Since I booked 4 nights, I have a good discount. It is a pretty interesting accommodation, something in between an Airbnb (self-check-in and healthy Skyr breakfast) and a hotel (clean and comfortable beds)
They also have blackout curtains and I can see how it can be helpful in the summer when there is no darkness. There is also a bus stop right downstairs which is very convenient for us to get to downtown
It's not in the city center, but the flybus can go directly to the hotel entrance. I only stayed here for one night and left in the morning. It's hard to comment on other aspects, but it's OK overall
The rooms are modern, well designed, and well lit. The plumbing is excellent as well. Some other hotels have sulfurous water because Iceland is on a volcano. Would definitely recommend and return
The breakfast is amazing! It’s lot's of good stuff, but it gets changed from day to day. These people prepare on the same day, and not the night before. It makes a huge difference in the quality

Very convinient location next of dowtown. Well organized syetdm for Check in. Would recommend gor 1 or 2 nights with budget.
The location of the hotel is great, which is convenient to most tourists spots! The room is clean and comfortable! The service provided by the hotel is generally good as well!
Good prices, good location, average room for solo traveller
Location is very central, right across bus stop 9 and walkable to the city centre.
It was easy to find the hotel and my room. The code on the door was kept switching but eventually got inside. It’s not a luxury but you got everything you need. The kitchen has all basic stuff and even tea and coffee

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the pier, and the staff are friendly. While there's no parking available, there are paid parking spaces opposite the hotel, and free parking is a 10-minute walk away, but ask the staff
For those who want to do puffin or whale tours, it's extremely close to the harbour. I usually stay in 2 or 3 star hotels when I travel and I have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in at that class
Hotel is located on a quiet street, but you are within walking distance of city center. I would definitely stay in Local 101 again :)
Bed was comfortable, and tap water also great to drink. Receptionist was really kind and helpful. He guided us with the parking in Iceland and also upgraded our room without asking
Aside from jarring elevator rides, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was almost new, I had a balcony and it was close to almost anything I wanted to do
super cute little spot to stay for our stopover. parking wasn't as easy as other reviews implied, we had to circle around a few times before we found a spot.

Close to the cathedral and the bus station, the environment is quiet, the rooms are clean, there are many places to eat around, there are plenty of people, and the house prices are cost-effective. It is recommended
Great location right near Hallgrimskirkja Church, easy walking distance to everything. I stayed the night before my ringroad tour and the night after and had a room on 3rd floor both times
Ideal for a quick stop before traveling on. Ideal location right next to Hallgrimskirkja church. Easy walk or bus to down town, where loads of restraints
Communication from hotel was good, I arrived late and they sent me self check in details that were easy to follow
Kitchenette with sink and microwave? Breakfast not available until after 09:00 in the Vietnam restaurant which also acts as the reception! Good location though. Bed & bathroom clean, but with a couple of cockroaches
You can see the church as soon as you step out. It is very close to the airport bus and the bus for group tours to pick up 🚌stop8 (just to the left of the church). The boss is a Vietnamese restaurant owner

The continental breakfast is excellent, nice and fresh with plenty of choice, try rhe freshly made waffles mum. I am no good with names, but all the staff were friendly, polite, smiling and very helpful
It is a bit out of the way, but all the excursions pick you up at the door, and you are always first on and off the bus so grab the front seat to see the beautiful scenery
The staff at the arctic comfort hotel was amazing , nice room , nice continental breakfast. The friendliness of the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make my stay as good as it was
We were pleasantly surprised, rooms are spacious and lovely and warm, we had to run the radiator down
The hotel seemed a little out the way, but as it goes it seemed to be the best location because we were always being picked up outside the hotel for trips when other hotels were having to walk to bus stops
Clean comfy beds, rooms tidied on a daily basis, tea trays restocked and lovely hot showers, with it being Iceland expect a slight smell of sulphur from the hot water

Great place to stay when in Reykjavik. You get the codes to enter the place and your room prior to check in and that's it. Hassle free check in and check out procedure. Decent location, 7 to 10 mins from the city centre
Nice facility. Staff could be nicer. The location is okay, but you still need a taxi to get to most attractions. There are a lot of stairs to go up. Breakfast is good. The bathrooms are very clean.
Very good hotel, nice localisation and close to the city centre. We did not use the public transport but there's a bus stop in the front of the hotel. Big parking lot for cars and a supermarket on the building as well
They send you codes and you don't need anything else. Very good breakfast, cozy and clean place. Staff very friendly and helpful but wi-fi was not working properly on my phone. We loved the stay and we recommend it
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grimur hotel. The place was clean, convenient. Icelandic people are very friendly, but Zuzanna took it to another level. She helped us out so much and always with a smile.

Brilliant location in Reykjavik. The room was very comfortable with a large and warm bed. Make sure you get to breakfast early, as they were running out of food at 9am. I would definitely stay here again
Stayed for 3 nights with a friend. Hotel location really good, just in the centre of the city. Room nice and warm with private bathroom ( I know you can book also rooms with sharing bathroom)
Location is also great— near bus stops for tours and in walking distance of many shops and restaurants
For all the comments about the sulfur smell from the hot water, you’re staying on a nation built from volcanoes whose aquifers are down in that geologic soil. You travel to experience something different
Access in and out was easy around the clock. Key drop off before reception opens was also easy. I stayed in an room with an en-suite bathroom and double bed, and was sad to leave when the time came
My daughter accidentally dropped the top of her contact lens case down the sink, and the guy at the reception desk came up immediately to help us get it out. It was fixed within five minutes

After a mess at the international airport which involved a power outage, freak storm, and hours upon hours of lines, culminating in false hotel vouchers from the airline (because the original hotels never received the voucher bookings because there was no power), we made our way to Hotel Hilda and they accepted us in quickly and we're understanding of our situation
They are THE BEST! A wonderful little boutique place that is only blocks from downtown, surrounded by local residents, and a super nice and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again!
This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting
We were very happy with this accomodation! The day we left, we had to leave at 3 a. and were therefore to early to get breakfast
Knowing this, the very nice and helpful lady of the hotel made us some sandwiches, which were waiting for us on the counter
My only complaint is that they put us to the dining room/Breakfast room and it was VERY noisy in the morning when we were trying to sleep. Beyond that it was very nice and the staff were very accommodating

This hotel apartment was one of the best that we have ever stayed in. For price, facilities and friendliness you can't go wrong. Situated on the outskirts of the city centre, we had many shops and restaurants nearby
The shower area was very good with two shower heads with powerful water jets with an overall pristine look. The daily cleaning staff were always helpful, replenishing anything from towels to toilet roll, when required
There was a main bed, a single bunk bed attached to the wall above, a beautiful private bathroom and a kitchenette with a hot plate, oven, mini dishwasher, mini fridge, sink, dishes, utensils, cups, kettle and tea
Helpful and friendly staff, close to a big shopping mall 24/7 which is super convenient to buy food, living necessities like a shaver. Close to bus station, easy access to downtown. Have got a stunning view from my room
The room was spacious with kitchen facilities, including a microwave oven, where we could cook our own meals. Having a fridge with a freezer compartment was handy too, for storing frozen veg etc
It was not a big deal, but if you are offered an early check-in, it might be worth it! There was lots of parking around the front and the side of the building

The room is in a good location with convenient parking around.
The location of the hotel is acceptable, only a quarter of an hour's walk from Rainbow Street. We booked a family room for three days, and the indoor area was quite large
This hotel was good value. It was near the city centre and easy to get to. Friendly staff and great breakfast. I would recommend waiting until 7 to come down for breakfast to avoid the large tour groups.

Lastly, I stayed there for 5 nights and quite a few hotels would offer an upgrade or special promotion like a free use of spa etc. Anyway, I didn't expect too much and made me feel better
Nice and clean hotel. Room is quite spacious compared with other hotel. Location is also convenient with a few minutes drive to city Center. Although it is near airport but it is very quite. There is no noise at all.
No self service laundry in the hotel as it is very common nowadays. The price list of serviced laundry seems too expensive as they still charge based on your pieces
