But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room
Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe
I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik
But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food
I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff
The room was great, and the front desk service was excellent. Breakfast was superb! The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center, so getting out for breakfast can be a trek
Nice hotel based slightly out of the center, but an easy walk along the sea front to all of rhe attractions
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
Reykjavik, Austurbakki 2, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Very attentive staff and Elenor made our checkin very smooth and answered all our questions. Perfect location to see the city. Would definitely stay there if we got back to Reykjavík
We also drove ten mins to the lighthouse and saw the best view of northern lights!
Great place! Lovely hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. Breathtaking views with fabolous and helpful staff. Can't imagine better place to spend time in when visiting Iceland. There is just No competition!
Great! Excellent location, nice ambiance, and good facilities too.
The restaurant is a highlight in itself. Thoughtfully curated dishes, high-quality ingredients, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere make it a destination even if you’re not staying at the hotel
The Reykjavik EDITION delivers exactly what a modern luxury stay should: cool ambience, excellent service, strong culinary offering, and a location that makes exploring effortless
Reykjavik, Sudurlandsbraut 2, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby
The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
Loved! First, the room was clean and quiet and comfortable. Next, the staff was so kind and helpful, we wanted for nothing. Plus, it was in a great location for getting wherever we needed to go
Great place to stay and enjoyed both the sauna and gym facilities a lot~
Very good hotel! a bit walk to city center but it s very good walking along way very nice!
Great facility, free parking, good size room, clean, less than 10 mins drive to the city center.
Reykjavik, Adalstraeti 4- 6, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for exploring Reykjavik. But the price you pay for the central location is it is very noisy at night until the early hours of the morning
The harbour, waterfront, shopping streets and main attractions were all at most 20 mins walk away in different directions (except Perlan which was 30-40 mins). I didn't have to use any transport apart from going on tours
My room was on the third floor and located off a central quiet courtyard that didn't face onto the main road
There was also a free shuttle bus there to Grandi area. There were numerous restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and bars in close proximity. You didn't really need to go very far after a long day out
The service at the hotel was excellent. Friendly and professional staff. Always someone available with a smile. The cleaning staff were extremely polite. My room was super comfortable
Yes, there were a few noisy guests who didn't know how to open and close doors quietly but I think that's expected in hotels as long as they are at appropriate hours, which they were
Reykjavik, Nautholsvegur 52, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need
The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there)
Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area, which made part of the walk a difficult one
Stayed one night here with my wife. The rooms are comfy, staff are friendly. We also ate at the breakfast buffet which was good. The spa is amazing and worth the money. We wouldn't mind staying here again
Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra
For those who are planning organised day trips: due to it's location this hotel is the first pick-up point for most travel companies. This means you'll always sit with your travel companion!
Reykjavik, Borgartun 32, Laugardalur, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The front desk staff made check-in a breeze, and they even used a translation app on their phone if there were any English communication difficulties. Although the room was small, it was very cozy
This place is great! You can take the airport shuttle directly to the hotel, and tour groups pick up right from here too. It's close to the beach, and you only have to walk about 500 meters to see the Northern Lights!!!
Extremely affordable hotel in reykjavik with a convenient carpark. Unfortunately the room wasn't very big and had no kettle. There is a very convenient kronan walking distance from the hotel.
For this price, I really can't complain, it was great! Excellent value for money. I happened to be there on September 22nd, which was a free bus day in Reichenau
The location is also fantastic, right by the sea, just 100 meters away. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to popular areas like the church and Rainbow Street
Chose Cabin for our last night in Iceland, primarily because of the shuttle bus to the airport, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival
Reykjavik, Laugavegur 120, Hlidar, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there
Fantastic hotel right in the centre of town! Close to all the bus stops for tour pick ups and loads of nice places to eat. Staff are super friendly and the room was clean and large for a city centre hotel
We stayed at Midgardur by Center Hotels during a Lesbifriends Travel group trip to Iceland and found it to be a solid, comfortable base in Reykjavik
Our first night in Iceland was spent at this hotel. Many Chinese tour groups also stay here, so you'll hear a variety of dialects during breakfast. The breakfast itself was decent. The hotel has its own parking
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the hotel felt welcoming without being overly formal. It struck a good balance between functionality and comfort, which worked well for our audience
The location is very convenient, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and pick up points for tours, but still felt calm and manageable for a group
Reykjavik, Thorvaldsenstræti 2-6, Midborg (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
the shower had a great water pressure, the shower booth was very roomy and it had a swing door that helped from the water going everywhere. the bathroom itself was big and very clean
As well, Robert made our dining experience personal and provided most wonderful local recommendations for our travels. The staff make this hotel what it is, and it has truly been my best experience at a hotel in years
The female front desk staff's attitude towards Asians was a bit indifferent, while the male staff was very enthusiastic; the difference in attitude was quite noticeable. There was free water in the room
When our airport driver was running late, they promptly assisted us in getting in touch with him and even offered to arrange an alternative driver to ensure we wouldn’t miss our flight
The staff were very helpful, especially when it came to arranging transportation to the attractions and to the airport, which made my trip much easier and stress-free
Paulina single handedly saved one of my party’s travel and went above and beyond in the fastest of moments to preserve a potential financial loss for my friend
Reykjavik, Mjolnisholt 12-14, Hlidar, 105 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Room on small size but typical outside of USA. Clean with all basic amenities. Hotel has almost everything but gym/pool. Full continental breakfast is provided. Would stay again when we return for northern lights!
The Hotel Klettur is a delightful place to stay while you're in Iceland. The staff was extremely helpful especially in my moments of confusion with walking directions
I did have the free breakfast with my stay and was very happy with the offerings
It’s location in my opinion was perfect and the neighborhood was very walkable, with many places to shop and eat including a grocery store around the corner
The staff was great: helpful and courteous. The rooms get pretty hot with the heat running but you can crack open a small window in the room. Showers have adjustable height shower heads
The room size was decent, much better than what you'd find in popular European cities. The location is convenient, it's about a 30-minute walk to the cathedral or the pier.
Reykjavik, Laekjargata 12, 101 Reykjavik, Iceland, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It's also close to bus stations #2 and #3, which is great for catching local tour buses.
The hotel is clean and comfortable, definitely recommended!
Hotel location is perfect, just at the central of the city!
I stayed at Saga Hotel for two nights. The hotel is situated adjacent to Tjornin (a beautiful pond with lots of swans and ducks). The room was well furnished and comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly
Excellent hotel. Room is big in Icelandic standard. Excellent breakfast with ample options. Staffs who went out of their way to provide assistance. Best hotel stayed in Iceland.
Excellent location, friendly reception, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room. Go for the breakfast, they are great. You don’t find breakfast outside early in the morning
Very comfortable and spacious room. Great location, 5 minute walk to Rainbow Street and many great food options. Right across the street from FlyBus pickup/drop off station.
Reykjavik, Armuli 9, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I think as a tourist it’s much better to stay in the city center than this far away-I’m on a tour so this is where I am!
Hi, we stayed for 3 nights and the experience was overall good. The city centre is half an hour walking from the hotel but the reception team helped us to find the local transportation routes and taxi services.
The reception desk is on the left, with comfortable sofas and seating directly in front of you. The reception staff are very helpful and assisted us with directions to get into downtown Reykjavík
stayed at this hotel while visiting Iceland from Canada, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless, welcoming, and thoughtfully done
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever travelling to Reykjavík, and here’s why. Arrival:
When you arrive, you are welcomed into a warm and quiet atmosphere
If you have a lot of luggage or prefer not to use the stairs, this is not a problem as there are two accessible lifts that take you directly to your floor
Reykjavik, Tryggvagata 12, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Nice contemporary hotel in the city center
Burger shop + bakery downstairs, very convenient
The lobby felt super cozy with its lovely Christmas decorations, we really enjoyed spending time there as a group. It was also extremely convenient to have a bar, restaurant, and bakery all in the same building
From the moment we met him, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Every time we approached him with a question or needed recommendations, he went above and beyond with patience and kindness
A fantastic and modern hotel on the harbour in Reykjavik. A particular highlight was the food at the bakery and the Le Kock restaurant. Our room was really modern and had everything we needed
That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us and perfectly captures the level of care and hospitality he provides. Exeter Hotel is lucky to have someone like Czarek representing them
He didn’t just do his job and made us feel truly welcomed and valued. On our last day, he even surprised us with two of Reykjavík’s special donuts that are only made once a year
Reykjavik, 95-99 Laugavegur 95 - 99, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reykjavík
Good location, healthy breakfast and the male receptionist was very helpful
We had a pleasant stay overall. The check-in staff were extremely friendly, warm, and helpful, making a great first impression. The hotel is centrally located, which made getting around very convenient
The main drawback was the balcony door, which opens onto a shared corridor, so we weren’t able to leave it open for ventilation. Aside from that, a comfortable and welcoming stay
Parking is available at the back of the hotel on a first-come, first-served basis, and we were fortunate to secure a spot. Breakfast offered a good selection and was enjoyable
Overall, it's still pretty good. The location is better than Station 12, but Station 12 is definitely more convenient since most pickups and drop-offs happen there.
Reykjavik, Posthusstraeti 11, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Our first visit to Reykjavík, and Borg Hotel was the perfect choice. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to so many great spots
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the beautiful Art Deco motif that gives the hotel so much character and charm
We had so many questions being our first day in Iceland and Claudia was amazing giving us recommendations for restaurants, shops and the northern lights viewing locations
The central location is nice. If you have a rental car, be warned, there is only street parking and you have to feed a meter all day long. Wish we had known this going in.
Fantastic location, handy for bus stop 3 for tours and what a stunning building! Staff are so helpful, can’t fault the place.
Lovely room, definitely worth the upgrade. Fantastic location too, really central. Breakfast was amazing and the staff at breakfast were very friendly. Would stay again without a doubt.
Reykjavik, Laugavegur 66-68, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent location, in the center! Great staffs service. They allowed us to early check in! It has hot tub and sauna and gym, it is small. Parking on street paying in meter
Great centre of Reykjavik hotel, breakfast is a wide variety and good quality
There is a tourist information shop a couple of minutes up from the hotel on the same side which was a huge help👍🏻
Also, the number 9 bus stop is where you will pick up any trips you’ve booked while staying at the Alda hotel
Near Bus Station #9 which is easy to access for flybys pick up & drop off and all the tours pick up & drop off. Walking distance to many attractions and eateries. The room is okay, clean and tidy, has basic amenities
The showers were amazing, which is a must for me. But overall our stay was made lovely by the staff! The location also is amazing and having a Starbucks on site was great! Thank you!
Nice clean hotel, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, minutes from shops, bars and restaurants but still very quiet. Plenty of bus stops close by too
Reykjavik, Adalstraeti 16, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great service from reception who were very helpful. Very clean ( loved hearing the cleaners singing while they worked). Room compact but well designed. Good position close to centre and good places to eat
Pick it for the location - in downtown Reykjavik (beautifully lit with fairy lights during winter) with lots of traditional houses, close to a main bus stop (for tours) and in walking distance of restaurants and the harbour
Stayed for our honeymoon and had a lovely note left in the room and swan towels on the bed. Great location very central and most things just a walk away. Would love to stay again, absolutely loved iceland 🇮🇸 😍
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Reykjavík Centrum and would definitely give it 5 stars. We stayed in a triple room, which was very comfortable and well organized, offering plenty of space for a great stay
The location is absolutely perfect, right in the city center and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and main attractions
Hotel Reykjavík Centrum is a very quiet and clean hotel that is close to everything in Reykjavik. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
Reykjavik, Posthusstraeti 2, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel was very close to the cruise port and the staff their directed us to a walkable distance to a free shuttle bus to the cruise port, We explored the area , which was downtown, on foot and enjoyed it very much
Overpriced for the quality of the room
Good location but room with slanted ceiling and only skylights without windows. Felt like we were in an attic. Not happy with the room for the price we paid.
The location is very good and very convenient
Rooms are specious and clean . Good location near from restaurants , bars and to visit the city by walk .
Excellent property, beautifully appointed. Was just a short walk to our cruise port and to the Harpa concert hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Lots of dining and drinking options within a short walk and an excellent restaurant in-house
Reykjavik, Baronsstigur 2-4, Midborg, 101 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The location is on the outskirts of the very busiest part of downtown Reykjavik, but still central and a stones throw from the ocean walkway
The accommodation seemed old, but it was in good condition.
The only downside was that the bathroom didn't drain properly.
It's fine for a short overnight stay.
But the room is super spacious and with a little balcony that faces the seaside which makes winter night viewing in Iceland just on another level entierly
Great hotel, the staff super friendly and service is amazing. Just a little nitpick is the placement of the TV position is a little odd
The shower was so tiny; the shower head is not adjustable so my hair got wet every time I got in the shower, the shower curtain clung to my body, and the water got all over the bathroom floor
Also, if you smoke, at night you may be left at the porch in
subzero temperatures, if the night shift person is doing errands and isn't there to let you back in when you've finished smoking
Reykjavik, Sudurlandsbraut 12, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
It is a couple of km to town centre so for us (retired couple) it was a bit too far to walk). Tours pickup from the door though. Several restaurants within a few minutes walk
Nice clean, modern hotel about 20 minutes walk from the attractions of Reykjavik. There are some nice restaurants close by especially Olifa pizza restaurant, there's a Netto supermarket a couple of minutes walk away
Even managed to see the Northern Lights from the bedroom window (but drive out of the city for better viewings). Some (free) parking at the main entrance, more dedicated parking to the side of the hotel
4* in location because it's easier to drive to downtown than walk, less than 10 minutes. parking close to the church is cheap enough. Lovely staff, the room is excellent, enough space for three of us
Decent breakfast and nice friendly staff. A special mention to receptionist Elana who went out of her way to help us when we missed our excursion transfer, managing to get us on a later trip
Reception on first floor (one floor up from street entry). 24 hr reception, friendly staff (advise them on check in if you want daily room service. Rooms smallish but warm, beds comfy
