It was a good experience in Iceland however there’s very less amenities which is only beds toilet in the room and even there’s no microwave in the hotel.

The bed in the room was too soft, and I woke up with a backache. Also, the customer service was too slow to respond, and the room was completely empty.

It’s a very good location with decent price. The postcards are the cheapest I can find in the city. You’ll have access to nice food place from there.

As location is in City, parking is an issue and extra cost. Shared showers were a mixture of standards. Kitchen was not regularly cleaned.

We stayed at Ármót Guesthouse and it honestly felt like a bit of an upgrade compared to some other places we stayed at. The rooms were enormous - loads of space, really comfortable and just nice to relax in after a long day out. The house is a little creaky, but in a cosy, charming way. It actually gives the place character and makes it feel like it has a soul rather than being just another guesthouse...

We stayed in the private apartment for three nights. The location is great for exploring the South Coast. We could have easily stayed here longer as there is so much to see and do within an hour or so of drive. The apartment was roomy and well equipped. We had a full kitchen with a little dishwasher. Lovely comfortable stay on an Equestrian Centre. Lovely stay on an equestrian centre. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable with an enormous upstairs sitting room with tea and coffee available. Breakfast was adequate but convenient. It was lovely to see the Icelandic horses outside the window and to be able to visit the stables to meet them up close.

Our cottages were good. Having a kitchen & dining area made it more spacious and we were able to make our own hot breakfast. It’s on a nice farm. Would recommend this property.

The guesthouse is in a very convenient location very close to the golden circle. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of parking spots outside and the rooms are easy to access all day, even late at night. I would definitely recommend it.

Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!

Pretty much what you’d expect for the usual price, small rooms with run down amenities. The bathroom was fairly large but the shower didn’t drain well. Not really worth it for holiday weekends where the price is higher. We booked for the proximity to the geyser but in hindsight should’ve booked something in Selfoss instead.

Great room to stay in, but unfortunately the walls were very thin so you could hear the neighbours easily. Also the fridge made a lot of noise which even woke me up. The guesthouse is split into separate buildings. The rooms we booked were rather small and the bathroom was really tiny... the cleanliness of the rooms were acceptable at best. Breakfast was good. I have no idea what everyone is complaining about. For what you pay, the room and shower were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location is awesome, right next a beautiful foss. Perfect place to spend a night or two as good location and comes with kitchen and laundry facilities. However check in can be a nightmare if your booking platform does not update you with check in instructions

The location was fantastic. Check in was easy. Staff seemed to come in regularly and take out the trash and tiddy up the bathrooms. The couch for the third person to sleep on was awful. There was a lot of mold in the shower and the drain didn’t work well. You had to continually shut the water off during your shower so it didn’t flood the bathroom. The room trash was not emptied and there was no indication where you could take it yourself. The humidity was quite high. The traffic noise was reasonably loud.

Great central location and value. You will share a bathroom so make sure you are ok with that. Having a kitchen available was great. Staff was helpful when I needed to speak to them.

Bathroom/Toilet is not as clean as expected

The rooms are clean for a budget hotel but the walls are paper thin. I can hear everytime someone takes a poop and when he goes to the shower or uses the tap. There is only 1 bathroom at every floor with the sink, toilet and shower in the same room so it cannot be used concurrently. This means we have to wait >30mins for each person to poop, then shower etc. You can only imagine what it is like on...

A fine place to stay but don’t expect breakfast. Seeing literature about the guest house and reading reviews, and seeing the set up the day of our arrival, we were looking forward to a pleasant breakfast. There was none. Had we known that we would have sorted out getting food upon our arrival. So if you plan on staying here bring all food.

Everything here seemed clean and tidy. There's a fully equipped shared kitchen and a living room with several tables for dining, complete with a huge TV. The bathrooms are also shared. We didn't have a sink in our room. The room is small but well-organized.

Home away from home We had a very enjoyable stay at this quiet and comfortable guesthouse with courteous hosts and all the comforts of home. The location is also very good, being just a few miles north of Asbyrgi and Dettifoss. I would highly recommend it.

Nice cottage with kitchen. They just did new renovations. So the cottage 100% looks new now. I enjoyed staying here. My 3rd time stay in this small cottages. Also you can see aurora outside of the cottages.

The chalet is okay and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. However, there’s only one bathroom, so the six of us had to take turns using it 😊

The cabin is ideal for up to 4 people; if more people go, it can be overwhelming to be in the living room. Bring your groceries with everything you need to eat, as there's nothing nearby. You can't hear the noise of cars despite being close to the road.

Our stay at Godaland Guesthouse was a wonderful surprise. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, you’ve found the right spot. Cozy apartment in off-grid Iceland. Rooms are practical and it’s situated close to the coast, which makes it the perfect spot for watching the Aurora! Had a super tasty hamburger in the restaurant downstairs. Was it the most modern guestroom ever? No. Was ist super comforting, warm and exactly what you need after a day in the cold breeze? This hotel offers decent value for money in Iceland. The elderly gentleman at the reception provided excellent service. Although the bathrooms are shared, they were very clean. They also offer a €5 breakfast. The location is superb, within walking distance to both the bus station and city attractions. The outside of the hotel looks a little old but the inside is much newer. We had a great stay here for 1 night as we drove around the island. The location was great, short drive to Studlagil. Everyone was really nice we had a great stay.

My husband and I stayed here one night during our Ring Road trip! Everyone who worked there was so kind and the rooms were clean and beds were comfy! Location is perfect for exploring the Studlagil Canyon! Didn’t give it 5 stars because we entered through the non-hotel side (it was the only door unlocked at the time) and it was a bit creepy and the food was just okay but the service was superb!

The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was super cute. The hot tub was open from 3 PM to 9 PM, not super hot but very relaxing. There's a chance to see the Northern Lights while soaking! Beautiful venue, would highly recommend. Had been doing the ring road in a van that would last couple of days was so wonderful to come into such a cleanup, aesthetic, and calm environment to spend the night again. The breakfast was a big highlight, it's not very often a hotel breakfast tastes like a home cooked meal!

It was such a quaint place, but unfortunately all week we were there it was under construction, so noise from hammering and drilling was very annoying since this was booked specifically for meditation and writing of my book.

A nice and quiet place in the Selfoss area. We got a free room upgrade. We booked this hotel to stay after finishing the Golden Circle. We saw the northern lights here, after we were notified via a special WhatsApp group.

The hotel was clean, but the room had a slightly stuffy smell. There were only two electrical outlets in the room, so it was a bit of a hassle. The heating was adequate!

Maggy was incredibly helpful. She accommodated our late arrival and she went out of her way to let us know before we left that a portion of Ring Road had been washed out overnight by a storm, which made it impossible to get to our next destination. Her kindness in letting us know gave us a chance to head back north around Ring Road to make sure that we made it back to Reykjavik in time for our flight...

Lovely place. Quiet and quaint. We didn’t meet any staff as the keys were left in an envelope. We didn’t have any issues. The room was clean and appreciated the coffee maker/pods.

Guest house is lovely converted old building in the scenic small port of Seydisfjourdur. Room was very attractively furnished and very clean. It's a family hotel. When you arrive, the owner will leave the key at the door and you can take it according to your name. This cottage stay was a new experience for me, and I really appreciated the peaceful setting and cozy atmosphere. It’s a lovely place to unwind, surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the northern lights during the night I stayed, as the sky wasn’t clear enough. Still, the location felt promising for aurora viewing, and I’d love to return for another chance.

I didn’t expect much staying in our rustic cabin the countryside. But for what they charge – the cabin really was not in great shape. There was broken furniture, the kitchenette barely had any silverware. Views are amazing, Location is great, the people are nice. But at least a nice well maintained cabin would be nice.

Great place for our first night in Iceland! This was our first night in Iceland. We checked in late, however the front desk lady was super friendly and accommodating. We drove up to our cabin and it was a perfect start to our trip. Very rustic and quant. The three of us comfortably slept in a bed each. Would recommend!
