Keflavik, Valhallarbraut 756-757 🧭 Map
Had to stay here for a second day after being delayed due to cancellations at the airport. This is a very nice hotel and is quite cheap, although you get what you pay for
Very peaceful place, didnt take the breakfast option. Iron and ironing board, small fridge provided. Lounge was nice and welcoming. I liked this place a lot actually. The rates were okay and totally met my expectation
Parking is provided, clean and spacious rooms with everything you need. Large TV screen and comfy beds. Warms and nice, pool table too-bring your own chalk. Table Tennis table too-best bring your own ball and bat
Great place, room we had was small but comfortable and functional. it was very close to the airport and super good value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly
It was quirky with large bar, lobby, seating area type thing. Would certainly stay here again
The game room could also do with some TLC, the arcade machine didn't work and there was only one ball for the table tennis table which was broken. Overall, the experience at the hotel was good and would stay again

Very convenient - a short, flat walk from the airport. Rooms large, clean with great shower. Staff very helpful and professional. So much better than spending 10 hrs in the airport. Slept and well rested for next flight
Made all the difference to traveling!
I stayed here two nights prior to my flight to Spain. The hotel is very nice with very easy access to the Terminal building. The breakfast was very good and offering a variety of items to suit most tastes
The hotel staff were passionate to answer all questions that there was a 24 hour reception. It’s just a few minute drive to the airport. It’s really convenient for the travelers who take an early flight
I had lost my credit card and only had Euro upon check-in. They gave me a free breakfast voucher and shuttle back to the airport. The rooms are older as I believe it is a converted military barracks
We didn’t have time for breakfast but was buffet style and seemed fine. Staff were welcoming and helpful. A very good place to stay if you need to catch and early morning flight!

Food, Icelandic nature and peaceful place. Swimming pool, nature pool, historic places, restaurant and great rooms. Fyrsta flokks matur, Frábær þjónusta og rólegt andrúmsloft í sveitasælu
I've visited last night for 1 night and everything was amazing! The hostess accepted us with a smile on her face and helped us with everything we asked
We stayed on the campsite outside the hotel and it was very good. The natural hot tub is a must! Would definitely recommend stopping there.
Very pleasant stay. The owner is super nice. Had a wonderful time. Plus there is an ancient hot spring on a hill.
We booked triple room, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty! Go visit!
The place was very good and most importantly, the host was amazing and nice! Definitely recommend!

There is a fire place in the bar-lounge area and that makes for a great evening experience. Two hot-tubs and a sauna also on premises
- the location was very good for sightseeing - the staff was very friendly - good breakfast with good times - good dinner with good fish - can hear the sound of the neighboor rooms very loud - the room was clean
Great touring base. Rooms need an upgrade but it was comfortable and everything worked well. No complaints just a bit basic. Food was great if a tad pricey. The location was good for touring south Iceland
Hot tubs are quite big and have 2 different temperatures, which means you'll never be cold & you can always cool off a bit in the 36-38C tub. Staff is also very friendly and ready to help. A great gem in the countryside!
The interior was a bit dated with some carpet that needs to be replaced. But this hotel has 2 nice hot tubs and a sauna. We ate dinner and breakfast here as we were tired and far from town
The hot tubs and sauna are open 24 hours. It was wonderful sitting in the hot tub as big snowflakes came down. Lastly, the service here is above and beyond, always with a smile. the hotel uses compostable takeaway cups

The breakfast alone is worth travelling to Iceland. The view of the Northern Lights over the table top mountain behind the hotel is just an added benefit. I could not possibly offer a higher recommendation for lodging
Great breakfast buffet with skyr, museli, eggs, sausage and sandwich options. Good coffee and I'm very particular about coffee. The location is quiet and a bit isolated with nothing within walking distance
The food was so delicious we had salmon and roasted leg of lamb that they pulled from the bone and served with hot potato salad and veggies and gravy that was out of this world
After dinner we sat in the lounge area where we were drinking and the chef brought us snacks and coffee and we were treated like royalty
Me and my friends came here with our husbands for dinner ,drinks and breakfast and the experience was out of this world
All fine for the pice. Clean and cozy. The breakfast is simple but good, hosts are kind and helpful.

Fantastic views, could hear the ocean and sea birds from our room. The room was simple, peaceful and clean. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and recommended good dining and sightseeing
Great access to hiking trails, including Paskahellir (Easter Cave). All in all our favorite stay in Iceland
Nice hotel in a nice town with nice food
It's a student dorm but in the summer it's a hotel. Therefore the rooms are not super cosy, but it's okay and clean. All rooms have a great view onto the fjord!
Breakfast was great! And you can make your own waffles! 😍
The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Although this town is quite far from the ring road, it was a pleasant stay.
Food was extra expensive but it seems to be a norm in Iceland anyway.
Simple, but clean room. View from our room on the Fjord was beautiful.
Small bathroom which could use an update.
Dinner and breakfast were both good.

We called the number listed for this hotel to fund out where we should park and was told we could use the parking lot across the street, which was for a store. The store was already closed so we parked there
Very great value for the price we paid. Nothing over-the-top, simple clean and comfortable. Nice hot shower and cozy bed. It was the perfect one night stay.
There isn't anyone on site to let you into the building. The front door code took a minute to work and we didn't have any issues after that. There is no lift, just any FYI for anyone with mobility issues
We left fairly early in the morning, before the store opened again. Check your email the day of your check in for the front door code as well as the code to your room
It's within walking distance to all of the restaurants and shops in town. They say they have on-site parking but they do not. You have to park on the street
The was hand soap in the bathroom but no shampoo or body wash. We brought our own but just a heads up to anyone staying here

After a mess at the international airport which involved a power outage, freak storm, and hours upon hours of lines, culminating in false hotel vouchers from the airline (because the original hotels never received the voucher bookings because there was no power), we made our way to Hotel Hilda and they accepted us in quickly and we're understanding of our situation
They are THE BEST!
A wonderful little boutique place that is only blocks from downtown, surrounded by local residents, and a super nice and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again!
This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting
We were very happy with this accomodation! The day we left, we had to leave at 3 a. and were therefore to early to get breakfast
Knowing this, the very nice and helpful lady of the hotel made us some sandwiches, which were waiting for us on the counter
My only complaint is that they put us to the dining room/Breakfast room and it was VERY noisy in the morning when we were trying to sleep. Beyond that it was very nice and the staff were very accommodating

The owners are always happy to share their insights on where to go or to give you directions to where you need to get. The breakfast is plenty to take you a long way through the day. Definitely recommend staying there
Every night the beds were turned down and a chocolate placed in the pillows which was a really nice touch. The 2 managers were lovely, they couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly
We walked to and from the BSI terminal and the tour bus terminal within 20 minutes and the main street is 5 minute walk. The tour bus did drop us off at bus stop 9 on the way back each time and that is also a 5 min walk
And the sky lagoon provides them. The little touches such as the biscuits and chocolates each night were adorable. Breakfast was so healthy and filling and the little notes to read over unlimited coffee were great
All the main attractions in rekyjavik can be walked to very easy. We even walked to the sky lagoon!
We used the local bus service too and the bus stops are 5 minutes from the hotel so it's really well placed
Everything you need is provided, especially if you do hand luggage only like we did. Hairdryer, toiletries, water, tea and coffee!
We did bring our own towels for the secret lagoon and local pools

The breakfast was a masterpiece!! As a hungry American in Iceland, this was beyond amazing lol portions can be rather small and expensive overall, so you can understand my delight seeing this glorious spread hahaha we spent some time by the beautiful and romantic lake, and had to hurry off to our next destination, I am so sad about missing the first night enjoyment, but that is how traveling goes sometimes...
I will 100% come back here one day. It’s a great launch pad into the west fjords if you’re trying to go there
Very nice hotel, pretty well situated when spending few nights in the area (and less expensive as well than others). Beautiful view over the lake and next to the craters' trail
Wow!! One of our favorite stays in Iceland
The restaurant offers a dinner items ranging from US$30 to US$100, typical of Icelandic restaurants. If you are looking to eat on a budget there is a grocery in town with limited hours
We unfortunately got a flat driving to the hotel, and it was pouring rain, and we got delayed about 2 hours arriving to hotel taking away our only night experience- but the hotel was accommodating and checked us in no problem

It is true, there is no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs. There is a nice common room with microwave, stoves and fridge. The breakfast was a sack lunch type deal, and it was good
Very nice hotel! It was clean, quiet, and the rooms had their own bathrooms! Complimentary breakfast was very good, thanks to having pancakes available! Located off the beaten path, but still close to city emmenities.
While the surrounding area is not overly attractive, for the price and location to the airport (plus really nice rooms and staff) we would recommend it and will definitely stay here again
This place might be in the middle of nowhere, but it was my favorite part of Iceland. There is a gorgeous path that runs right along the water with flower fields and cute little houses
Good breakfast with lovely view
Cons: The hotel is located in the second floor with no elevator, so carrying a big bag can be quite an issue. TV signal is very weak to not exists
The staff were so kind and accommodating. We arrived much earlier than anticipated and they did not have a problem readying our room quicker than they were supposed to

We loved it! Beautiful views, simple decor, great breakfast and friendly staff. It was expensive, but felt well worth it.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Had a really good stay.
Very nice rooms, located on the lakeshore.
The restaurant attached was good and ok priced. Good hamburger and fries 2200 Isk
I liked this place. The price can be a bit high but most places in Iceland are
The rooms are big, beds are comfy, and the showers are nice
Extremely quiet, simple, functional, large 'study' rooms ideal for bikers/cyclist with bags, dirt and 'wet stuff'. Nice geothermal activity at walking distance.

Good to stay on a budget. The breakfast is fine and the stafff are helpful and bedrooms fine got to socialise with people over the world however the shower I was having problems getting the right temperature
All in all, it's a great budget option if you're after a quiet, clean place to crash and don't mind the extra travel time
Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm
Was quite dirty when I arrived on the weekend but when everyone returned to work on Monday everything got cleaned and it was nice. everyone was friendly and the beds were comfortable enough
I decided to go for a walk around 9am and the young lady behind the counter put my bag with her and watched it while i did that. they ended up being able to check me in around 10am
Take care of your food! Ours was stolen from the fridge by other tourists. Not really a fault of the motel but still very uncool. If you are a light sleeper, the you shouldn't stay here! The road is very noisy

Clean towels are given out every day and wifi is also free. Sometimes the staff makes your bed too. Sink water tastes a little gross, so it's best that you buy water if you want to refill
It's more affordable than any other hotel/hostal in the area and you can eat breakfast and dinner here. The breakfast doesn't really fill you up, but the dinner does a good job
Only thing we didn't like was the showers, on our floor both had very poor water pressure; one of the two was not draining well at all so you had to stop showering intermittently to keep the shower from flooding, and the other didn't have hot water until a good ten minutes in
Friendly helpful staff, average but clean rooms. Shared bathroom and shower were not the cleanest. Every door in the building slams into the frame/wall and sounds like falling boulders
Basic accommodations with good wifi and a comfy bed, close to Skógafoss. The room isn't too large, but we had no troubles with two big bags and two backpacks
Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Room was clean and included a sink, shampoo, and towels. Dorm style bathrooms and one shower

Stayed for a night here - was lucky to even get a room as I originally booked elsewhere as the price was much cheaper here
There was a huge tour group that booked the room, pretty lucky that a room appeared while I was looking up accoms in the area, got lucky!
Breakfast was included in the room rate, no hot options but more than enough esp for the price we are paying
Was lucky enough to see the northern lights at the Stykkish harbour nearby and even from our room at the basement - no need to brave the cold for it!
There’s even a lookout deck on the top floor of the hotel to see the northern lights
Super friendly and excellent value. Ideal location for exploring Snaefell peninsula. Located in small seaside town with fantastic amenities and interests. supermarket, gym, fantastic open air pool and hot tubs nearby
The hotel is very charming, and my room was spacious and well-equipped (towels and other essentials were provided). Breakfast was really good — a compact but complete buffet, not over the top, but totally satisfying
The staff member I interacted with was extremely kind and welcoming. I also appreciated the practical walk-in process: you receive an entry code by email, so there’s no formal check-in needed

Very good good decision if your on a budget
Our flight was delayd and we got to the guest house late in the evening, at about 11P. M, they left the key for us and the instructions where to find everything we need. Super comfy beds, slept better than at home
Very well priced for a stay that was neat and tidy. Excellent kitchen facilities. Just a shame people don't clean up after themselves and left the kitchen dirty - no fault of the owner though.
We needed somewhere to leave our backpacks at for a bit after we checked out and Valla let us. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Reykjavik
Excellent stay at the Laugabjarg Guesthouse. Clean, comfortable, safe, great location. Valla is a delightful hostess! We would love to stay here again!
Room's good enough for this price and Landlord is very friendly. I recommend this guesthouse if you looking for a place to sleep.

(Also, very kid-friendly with kids’ menu and available table games while waiting a very brief period for our food (very fast service)). My favorite restaurant in Iceland!
Amazing food and service! The soup Buffett was great. The fish and chips were simply the best I have had. Wonderful family-owned and operated establishment
A nice bed and breakfast spot where you can use a kitchen if you want to cook. A restaurant is available and is not too expensive with good products.
The fish and chips were excellent, the soup buffet was farm fresh, and the owners are a delight!
Wonderful food and wonderful hospitality
Unexpectedly amazing! Tried the fish of the day - cod - and we almost ate our fingers. Souce is very very tasty. And the colesaw 😍 We also got the soup bowl - with infinite refills. Very good deal :)
