Great hospitality, clean rooms, smooth service,very friendly staff,Highly Recommended.

For the same price, I stayed at a nearly five-star hotel in Ubud, where everything was spotlessly clean, luxurious, with a private pool and a wow breakfast. But the Kutabex had no window, was dark, smelled like a basement, and the towels were torn and not clean enough. On the positive side, the location, the breakfast was okay, the staff treated guests well, and the pool on the top floor was nice.

Love this place. My entire 13 nights is very very special and wonderful time what I have spent in Bali as many time. Special thanks to Purna, Dedi,Ridho,yusa,Nanda,arya,Tari and all the staff are very courteous and very hard working. They all are very well mannered and good team working specially restaurant staff. This staffs are great asset to the Kutabex hotel. 💯 coming back my next visit.

Overall is a good stay for the bargain price I received from Trip. the people at the hotel was good, not as much with the restaurant in the rooftop at the beginning of, perhaps they just think I would run off without paying. :-) they are fine eventually when they saw I regularly there in the afternoon to chill with a coffee. Best part is the rooftop garden, though food better at the front restaurant...

Great location, right by the surfing beach. Booked a two-hour surf lesson for mom and dad, just a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was decent, and there's a good restaurant right outside the hotel. I had a huge pizza for 40 RMB, and they have live music at night which is very chill.

Beachfront view and well located in Kuta, close to DPS airport. The staff are very kind l, professional and helpful for a last minute important request. The rooftop restaurant was lovely and buffet breakfast was great. The SPA rates and service was also very good. Enjoyed my stay here and definitely recommend.

The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is so so. Overall I enjoyed my stay here for two nights. The bathroom sometimes smells weird, they provide basic amenities.

We booked this place for 1 night as it was close to the airport, so we checked in at approx 10pm before travelling to Ubud the next day. Breakfast choices were ok... Location convenient for what we wanted. Didn't really stay in the area long enough to determine if it's a good location for an extended stay. Happy overall

Overall it was an okay stay. There were no hot water in our room, had to shower cold water even though we told the maintenance they didn’t try to fix it. Pool was okay, they had child pool as well which was a plus.

Back to Cara Cara room is clean and cosy. The check in took a while even though I was checking in at 3.35pm. The room wasn’t ready. This period the hotel is very packed so it s understandable. Room is at the second floor it is not very soundproof so can be a bit noisy during day time. My family and I had a wonderful 8-day stay. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the swimming pool was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. However, for a 5-star hotel, the coffee was disappointing—it tasted like instant coffee and wasn’t anything special.

This hotel was so beautiful and relaxing, the perfect place to adjust when you arrive or chill before you leave. Close to the airport and very peaceful. The staff made it from a good experience to one of the best I’ve enjoyed. I stayed Christmas Eve and they even gave us a complimentary Christmas cookie tree

It was a good place in reasonable price. Location is a bit away from beach and other famous attractions. You have to pay a lot for taxi fares. Their restaurant was a bit pricey but the taste was good. I arrived early but the staff kept me waiting for four hours despite the room being vacant

This property needs major renovation. If you have a lot of luggage, it’s not easy to carry it—especially if your room is far from reception or located on the second floor. The bathroom is very substandard: it’s spacious but not clean, has leaks, and there is no shower curtain. Positive side is reasonable price and close to shops and beaches.

Shower had no hot water the night we arrived. Shower lever needs attention as does the hot water service. Room door stiff to open, needs shaving and both room door didn’t close unless locked from inside. Small things needing attention.Otherwise, love coming back to this hotel.

The Bakung Sari is an old historical hotel in Kuta. The property is very dated so many guests will not be happy but the cost is low so this is the trade off. This accomodation will suit any traveller. Situated at the older part of Kuta, it is an extremely amazing surprise and incredible value for money. No it’s not on the beach, but it is only a 2 minute walk through to the Main streets of Kuta and another 15 minutes to the beach, so it makes it a great day out to eat, go to the beach, eat some more or shop or get a massage then head back to the quietness...

The hotel is nice and location is Good with convenient stores and eateries within nearby walking distance. The Kuta beach is just 15-20 minutes walk away and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.

The room we got is at level 3 and there is no lift. We have to climb up 3 levels with luggage. Although there is porter helping us, the climbing up the stairs has turn us off. Our room does not have a balcony nor window. The only window in my room is the one in the toilet and is facing another hotel room. So we have to keep it down permanently

Great hotel with a superb location. Unfortunately, everything is showing its age quite a bit. The air conditioning doesn't cool properly anymore. Some of the furniture is falling apart. Doors don't close right, and hot water isn't really coming out. It's a shame, but a renovation would be appropriate.

The hotel was quite clean, and the staff were friendly. However, I didn't like the breakfast; personally, I found it not tasty at all, even though I'm not a picky eater. We didn't eat much beyond watermelon and toast. The pizza we ordered also wasn't great. Instead of meat, it had sausages for some reason. And to top it all off, we had a cockroach visit our room, which was an unpleasant surprise...

The location was great for walking around, and the staff were friendly. However, only hot water came out of the sink, no cold water at all. There was a red stain on the bed duvet, I couldn't tell if it was blood or makeup. For breakfast, there wasn't much to eat besides eggs and fruit.

Location-wise, the hotel is perfect—close to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it very convenient for both business and leisure travelers However, I did notice that the bathroom amenities were limited such as shampoo, soap or etc.

This place was value for money. The breakfast was good for the price. The staff were great. It was near lots of restaurants. It was on a main road but we rarely heard traffic in our room. The pool was clean and enjoyable. It was a little far from the beach.

All staff are commendable for being so hospitable and accommodating. I have made an error in booking for extra night and extra bed for extra pax, the extra night was not refunded since i booked it in trip.com but the extra bed was booked directly to the hotel and it was refunded 😍. Staff was friendly. Location is good too little far from Kuta area walking street busy easy with grab. Clean and aromatic rooms. Very big and beautiful swimming pool. Morning breakfast had lot of options and food quality and taste was good. Only thing missing was my room had no fridge which was bit painful. Else awsome stay and lot of things nearby.

Female solo traveller - felt very safe although I checked in at about 2am cos of flight delay. For the price, really good value. If really want to nitpick, it would be great if showerhead is detachable and doors are thicker as neighbours kept waking me up in the morning with luggages and talking. Good enough budget hotel if you're just staying for a short time. Room is clean. It's obvious that the place has existed for quite a while now, so the wear and tear is there. Best thing was that we were able to check in at 2 am. The only thing that could have been better was the food choices in breakfast, maybe add a little bit more? They didn't provide amenities other than soap, but if you're just looking for a place to sleep, it's perfectly satisfactory. The building is old, but it felt clean.

I was very well received around 11 PM. The rooms are large and clean, the pool is superb, I recommend it.

I booked a room for a couple of days but stayed for three more. The staff was very kind and attentive. I forgot my fridge magnets and returned to the hotel a day after check out. Magnets were carefully stored and returned to me intact.

I don’t blame the cleanliness of this hotel; perhaps the building is just a bit old. However, the hotel has a fantastic location with easy access to a large shopping centre. I would highly recommend a stay at REVIVO. I attended a retreat here for 5 days and the facilities are outstanding. Rooms are beautiful and the staff are very attentive. If you're after a relaxing holiday where you can recharge the batteries, this is the place. I didn't need to leave the resort at all and food was outstanding. Well worth a visit!

The location of the hotel is very good. Near to 2 malls, beach and a lot of food options. The rooms are also big and spacious. Breakfast is also good. However, it's very dated and in need for renovation. The ventilation fan in the bathroom is so noisy, sometimes the sheets have some stains. There are also water marks at the Aircon, same for both the rooms we stayed in.

The hotel is unique with three types of rooms to choose from, and the staff are very informative and helpful. The location is strategic, but since the hotel is still under renovation, you currently need to enter through the basement.

Even with a late-night arrival and a daytime checkout, everyone, including security, was so welcoming and enthusiastic, which made me feel very safe and comfortable. The room itself was a bit small but clean and well-equipped. They have a pool in the backyard, and you can also dine at the hotel. Really great for the price and theirs mainly locals staying at the place which makes it nice & peaceful without any crazy Australians, really good room & amenities but unfortunately wasn’t cleaned my whole stay but that’s my fault for sleeping in because the cleaning team finished at 3pm everyday

The architecture has a lot of local character, but it also feels a bit eerie. The staff were very good, and the room was spacious with complete facilities. However, the hygiene was poor; the toilet bowl was grimy, the bedsheets and duvet covers weren't clean and were very thin, and the towels were yellowed.

The room was a bit old, mainly because the water filtration system wasn't working well; the water was yellowish. Breakfast was à la carte, not a buffet, which wasn't very enjoyable. The only good things were the excellent location and the friendly staff. After switching to a better hotel, the water quality improved significantly.
