Hotel Villaggio Stromboli in Ricadi

This was our second time staying and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The food at the beach bar is excellent — great quality and reasonably priced. Our room by the beach had stunning views and a lovely terrace. The team at the beach bar were warm and welcoming. Very close to Tropea and you won’t find any similar prices.

Breakfast has a good variety, including bacon, eggs, and fresh fruit.

The only issue was with early morning access. We had to leave at 7am and found both the beach and hotel gates locked, with no one at reception and the access card we were given not working. It would be helpful if the reception provided clearer instructions and ensured better access for guests with early departures, especially since this wasn’t mentioned at check-in.

Overall, a great stay — we’ll definitely return.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The view from the observation deck is stunning, and it's a great place to sit and enjoy cocktails while taking in the beautiful view of the Stromboli volcano. The room service was excellent, and the room itself is spacious, with a large terrace that offers breathtaking sea views. The natural surroundings are fantastic, and I really enjoyed walking down to the beach from my room, admiring the various plants and flowers along the way. My room was number 75, and there were banana trees, hibiscus, and other well-maintained trees around it. I highly recommend this hotel to those seeking a peaceful and healthy vacation. The breakfast was excellent, and I enjoyed dining at various restaurants in Capo Vaticano and Tropea. The beach restaurant is open for lunch until 15:00. I usually order pizza, but there are various fish and seafood dishes available, and fresh fruits and vegetables can be purchased at the nearby grocery store. I would love to come back here again. The beach is beautiful and the water crystal clear. The spring entertainment by the pool was pure joy — energetic, fun, and added a lively atmosphere (our windows faced the pool, and thankfully we were happy to watch rather than sleep 😄).
The view of the volcano is absolutely breathtaking — definitely one of the best vantage points to admire it. Truly mesmerizing!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing — very poor buffet. The shuttle from the beach was also oddly organized, but that’s just a small thing.

Everything was wonderful (except breakfast). The volcano view and the overall vibe make this place truly special. Definitely recommend!

Staff is all very professional and friendly. However I was expecting the room to be a little nicer and well kept. The AC was not on before arriving so it was extremely hot and humid and took a little bit to get back to a decent temperature. There was a white powder lined along all the edges of the baseboards I am assuming to keep away bugs.. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable which was a little disappointing. On to the great stuff. You get a welcome drink of Prosecco or any non alcoholic beverage. The pool area is beautiful and so is the beach and bar below. We had an unexpected situation occur that our flight was delayed so we missed out on a day and a half of our stay so our last day they still allowed us to enjoy the pool and beach access after checkout. The breakfast was amazing but go early before the best croissants run out! Overall this was a great stay.

travelled through with my sister, santa yes 2 nights and have a lovely quiet time enjoying the amenities by the pool with view on the bay - particularly nice at sunset. very friendly and helpful staff, from reception to the bar/restaurant.
