Villaggio Baia d'Ercole in Capo Vaticano

I am very satisfied that we chose this hotel for our vacation due to delicious food, variety of dishes (offered a different Italian meal every dinner, we got ice cream or slice of cake every second dinner), the cosy atmoshere (very tidy beach, rooms, yard), I was amazed that I could enjoy a sparkling wine during the breakfast, it is a sign that the owner knows what is important to the visitors to make the best experience during their vacation, the perfect location (on the sea shore, so every night when I was in bed, I felt like I had an origin, natural meditation season with the sounds of wave), calm, quiet tourists, pleasant employers (even housemaids smiled every morning and made our room fresh and tidy). I felt very safe in this hotel, and even in the beach, because of the lifeguard, he even showed the safe entries to the sea). The biggest compliments to the chefs, adminitrators, housemaid, owner of this hotel, because everything was super perfect, smooth. I feel rested. So I really recommend this hotel for everyone who prefer delicious food, safety, comfort, relaxation near the sea shore. In the mid of October the weather was not too hot and not too cold, so I could lay on the beach, swim in the sea or pool, do excises in the outdoor gym, read books, and relax. Thank you all hotel team for making my vacation perfect!

The territory of the holiday village, located right on the beach, is beautiful and well-maintained. The reception staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are very well cleaned. The restaurant is more of a canteen, where the breakfast did not change, but was sufficient. You should not expect any culinary experiences from dinner.
The rooms are modest and of very different levels in the same price range.
The air conditioning worked efficiently and quietly. Our room was in the so-called first row from the sea and this was a plus. The beds were wide and comfortable.
The water on the beach is crystal clear. To swim, you have to walk about 20-30 m from the parasols towards the cliff, because there are fewer stones at the edge.
The surroundings are quiet and there is nothing to do there. There are small shop and 4 restaurants within a 10-minute walk, and a larger shop and a couple of restaurants 25 minutes away.
You can get to the town of Tropea and back at certain times for 15 euros. The life and surroundings are completely different there.

Great stay
Great location. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had something for everyone. Pools were nice. Bigger pool needs bigger loungers though. Right on beach . Staff were great.

Overall, I can definitely recommend the hotel. The main plus points are the beautiful beach, the excellent food and the great staff. The restaurant looks directly out onto the sea and the view at breakfast alone is worth its weight in gold. At dinner there is a wide selection of delicious and healthy starters, both hot and cold. There is always a pasta dish and a dish with fish or meat at the evening buffet, as well as a dessert and fruit to choose from. At lunchtime you can order pizza or salad. The hotel has two very nice pools. The entire hotel complex is very pleasantly designed and the gardens are very well maintained. There is even a small fitness area with equipment, although it is actually quite small. The staff are very friendly and committed, some employees speak excellent German, the others are fine. There is free WiFi, but sometimes a bit unreliable and you often have to enter a password. The very attractive bungalow complex also has an amphitheater for evening entertainment. We were there in the off-season, so there was no program in the amphitheater or I didn't notice it. In the evenings we had live music from a solo entertainer who sang. At breakfast there were always very long queues in front of the coffee machines. As a tip for tea drinkers, I recommend asking the waiters to bring you hot water in a jug, then you don't have to queue for every cup. The bed covers are, as is unfortunately often the case in Italy, quite impractical, i.e. there is only a sheet and the actual blanket on top. Mine always got tangled up, I don't know if that's the case with the Italians... Some of the rooms have already been renovated, some have not. Ours hadn't been renovated yet. There was not much storage space in the bathroom, the shower was quite small and a bit clunky. That should be better in the other rooms though.

Three of us stayed in April 2024, and it was a wonderful experience. Very beautiful village directly on the sea, full of vegetation, lawns and well-kept plants. All the village staff were professional and welcoming like few others. The new room is very nice, the breakfast was superb, nothing was missing... on the contrary. Highly recommended.

The Villaggio Baia D’ercole is a nice place to spend a vacation with kids. Starting from its location on the beach, the availability of 2 pools, the amazing sunset panorama to the tasty local food buffet. Not to forget the animation staff one by one led by Mattia that are truly remarkable. Their commitment to providing outstanding service was evident in every interaction. From the kids’ activities and all day entertainment to the adults’ workouts and shows, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our (and our kids) needs were met. They were welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer assistance with a genuine smile. In conclusion, despite the rooms that featured old furnishings, the overall experience was a testament to the exceptional service and ambiance that made our stay truly memorable.

First time in Italy with the family on vacation. Capo Vaticano is a picturesque area with lively sandy beaches. The hotel is perfectly placed on the beach and has all the amenities you would wish for: two pools, access to the beach, great fresh food. The animation/entertainment team are truly wonderful. They are dedicated to making sure everyone has the best vacation possible. From morning stretching on the beach, to pool games, right through to the evening entertainment. They completed our vacation and I consider them as friends now. Highly recommended 😎

Amazing beachfront location, well kept beach and crystal clear sea. There are 2 nice and clean swimming pool. They also have a shuttle that brings you to Tropea. All the staff is really friendly, kind and professional. The restaurant is lovely with delicious local food, always fresh and the service is impeccable. Francesco, the restaurant chef made us feel at home all the time, taking care of every detail. Ideal village for families and couples, a place where you can really switch off and relax! Villaggio sul mare, spiaggia ben curata e mare cristallino. Dotato di 2 piscine molto pulite. Hanno anche un bus che ti porta a tropea. Il personale é molto cordiale e professionale, dalla reception, agli animatori, alla ristorazione. Il ristorante serve ottimo cibo locale, prodotti di qualita' e sempre freschi e il servizio é impeccabile. Francesco, lo chef ci ha fatto sentire a casa, curando ogni dettaglio. Ideale per vacanze in famiglia o per vivera una vacanza in totale relax!
