I booked a junior suite with spa option on their website. All rooms are different, but the junior suite with spa is the largest room and bathroom I've stayed in Europe. Large marbel bathroom with large shower and windows in the main room that open looking over the garden and hills. The spa is amazing and has to be reserved bc they limit to 5 or 6 total couples at a time. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the price for what you get is amazing. Also, the breakfast buffet in the morning is good with plenty of offerings. This is a great stay in S Margherita Ligure, especially if you need some relaxation from a spa!! The location is perfect.

The mattress in our room wa completely broken and ruined our night and the day after. Our back is completely broken.

We chose this hotel because of the parking and the sofa.

The sofa is not relevant at all for those who come in the evening because it closes at 8:00 PM and only opens 14 days later.

Parking costs 38 euros and they didn't mention it anywhere.

Breakfast is reasonable.

Good hotel, good room, but be careful that the pool and spa is only accessible from 2 pm to 8 pm. Also, parking is a 38€ extra. Breakfast was ok but not special.

“Are you going to drink all that?” I was filling my water bottle because it was hot out and I was asked this by the woman at the front desk. it was a small water bottle btw
This place probably won’t be in business very long. Rooms are tiny, decorated like dorm rooms, and most importantly the service is awful. Breakfast is subpar at best.
Oh, and the air-conditioning doesn’t really work
Also, my wife had a spa treatment with some sort of icy hot skin wrap, which was awful and was advertised as a mud wrap and massage. After this, we canceled our treatments for later that day.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel, which was impeccably presented with stunning views and spotlessly clean accommodations. The attention to detail in maintaining the hotel’s appearance and the quality of the amenities contributed significantly to our enjoyable experience. Additionally, the staff were exemplary—accommodating, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their genuine hospitality made our visit truly memorable.

Special Thanks

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Silvia Bottaro for her exceptional patience and dedication in assisting with the shipment of our luggage, which we had inadvertently left behind. Silvia, along with the rest of the staff, was incredibly supportive, providing timely communication and coordinating efficiently with the shipping company. Silvia went above and beyond, overcoming numerous challenges to ensure our luggage made its way from the charming village of Santa Margherita Ligure to Melbourne, Australia.

We highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and accommodations. Our sincere thanks to the entire staff, and especially to Silvia, for their outstanding assistance.

The hotel is located quite centrally, not far from everything (public beach, shopping streets, boat stop) however it’s the most uncomfortable hotel I have ever been.
There’s a lot of paradoxes about this hotel. On the one hand, it’s clean and taken care of but on the other it’s more probably to look at rather than stay as it’s so impractical (we stayed 6 nights).
First of all, the suit is very small (not sure about other rooms) and not well thought of. The main bed is very, very uncomfortable (quite hard) and it’s connected from two smaller beds. The sofa bed the usual standard. However the AC is just above the sofa bed (so if you want your kids to sleep there then be careful with AC). Opening the windows is not an option because it’s so noisy outside. Actually the noise is a really big issue even with the closed windows (imagine being in an airport hotel that has no soundproofed windows - and this is not exaggeration ) I have never slept so badly in my life throughout the entire stay. I was woken up by the noise both inside (acoustic) and outside the hotel plus due to lack of sleeping comfort. There was also no hot water during one morning (they forgot to switch it on? I asked the front desk and they fixed it). That’s the main reason I would never stay there again. Obviously, I approached the front desk at the beginning but they said they were fully booked and it should get better as the guests above us were checking out shortly (seriously???)
Our suite was to have a welcome bottle of Prosecco, they forgot about it and we got it at the end only because we asked for it. The breakfasts are not special (no big choice for healthy breakfast). The restaurant is so-so as well. On the other hand, the waiting staff very kind and polite. We used Spa twice (including massages), again nothing special. And be careful here, we were looking for a hotel with a swimming pool and only when we arrived there, they told us children below 12 years cannot access the ‘pool’ area that is in the spa. There was no such information in our reservation so exceptionally they said we could go there (it’s only open from 14:00 - 20:00). The masseuses were pretty average and massages lasted around 50 minutes instead of one hour (we had four massages altogether). Another very impractical thing is that there are no hangers in the bathroom for wet swimming suits. So when you return from the beach or spa it’s a kind of your problem…
If you are looking for some rest and relaxation, find another hotel and don’t get trapped as we did.

The area around is very nice and picturesque. We didn’t allow lack of comfort to ruin our holiday and we discovered Cinque Terre, San Fruttoso (really worth seeing and swimming), Parragi (very crowded and overpriced), Portofino and San Rocco.

Great place!

Our room size was incredibly small, (sure we didnt select the most expensive room, but still this is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel)
No tea/coffee station in room. Bad elevator, extra parking fees. Also don't book here because of the Spa!

Wow! Claudia and her professional staff made our 3 night stay very enjoyable at this beautiful, exclusive and elegant Hotel. First class service, great breakfast and a wonderful room with views toward the Botanical Garden. We had an excellent Massage and soak in the spa. Hotel is walking distance to all attractions in this lovely town. Highly recommended.
