Ma Hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure

Charming! Rooms are clean and large, check in/out was incredibly easy, and all staff were friendly and helpful. Location is unbeatable, close to great food and a very short walk to the bus and ferry.

Great location on a quiet side street and v close to the beach and marina, and with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants only steps away. A great welcome and easy check in, and a good sized room too with a v comfortable bed. Decent buffet breakfast too. Recommended.

This hotel is perfect to stay in Santa Margherita. It’s in an excellent location, just a very short walk from the beach, bars and restaurants. Our room was spacious with all facilities and an enormous twin shower. Breakfast was great with a good selection of fresh fruits, meats cheese and pastries. The staff are all lovely, kind, friendly and attentive

We spent 4 nights at the MA Hotel and it was amazing. Owner, Matteo, is a wonderful host who gives each customer personalized attention. This small boutique hotel is in a great location for exploring Santa Margherita as well as the other local towns (check out Camogli, a short train ride away… it’s beautiful!). The train station is a short 5-7 minute walk and the hotel is easy to find. Matteo gave us great ideas for local restaurants as well as the good beaches to visit. Portofino is a 15 minute bus ride away, but you can always walk either the full way or take the bus to Piaggi Beach and walk the rest - an easy 30 minute peaceful walk with amazing views along the coast. The room was good and the bathroom was very large with a double shower (yes, two shower heads!). I had trouble with the room safe but Matteo was able to help at a moments notice. Wi-Fi can be a little weak at time but it did not cause problems. Breakfast was good and the patio was roomy and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon! Fine modern hotel, good beds and bathroom, all rooms on ground floor. Continental Bfast was good, not great, but service was friendly and excellent. Location also excellent, on quiet street just a couple blocks from main downtown area with lots of restaurants and cafe bars.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Santa (fabulous location), clean and tidy, great breakfast. Best of all were the staff, who couldn’t have made us feel more welcome and were super friendly! We forgot our iPad and they even sped up to the train station to catch us with the iPad before we boarded a train. Thank you for a memorable stay.

This hotel is perfectly located close to tourist attractions and restaurants. The manager is very pleasant and welcoming. The room itself is a great value for money and I highly recommend it for people visiting Santa Margherita.

Can't be faulted. Attentive staff; fabulous room; super breakfast; just excellent throughout. Aircon was effective and quiet. You could throw a party in the bathroom which had a really great double shower. Will definitely stay again if we are passing this way. Cannot recommend more highly.

I can’t say enough about the kind, patient and extremely helpful front desk staff at this hotel. They provide an amazing breakfast along with expert advice and are willing to do anything for you. The rooms are fantastic. We had the Rossa room and it had an enormous double shower big enough for two. The rooms are spacious and have air conditioning. The location of the hotel is one block from the Main Street with all of the popular restaurants too. Fantastic hotel!
