Hotel l'Approdo in Rapallo

My daughter & I stayed here to celebrate our birthdays. Everyone was so genuinely kind and helpful, giving us advice and helping us to work out buses, trains and beaches!! The room was absolutely spotless and cool, just what we needed in the heat of the Italian summer. Super handy location for beautiful swimming and easy evening walk to town. Thank you to all the great team at the hotel.

Great value for the cost! Wonderful staff and great service, including the owners, the front desk, and cleaning staff. Lisa has a real gift for hospitality and treated us and our dog beautifully. On that note, both the hotel and its staff are very dog friendly. Be advised, pets may not be left in rooms unintended, which is nice for all parties. Incredibly reasonable prices in lobby/bar for drinks, id est coffee, glasses of wine, beer, et cetera.

Recommended tips for the area:
- bring diving goggles and snorkels
- visit San Fruttuoso via the boat from San Margherita(swim out to underwater statue ‘Christ of the Abyss’
- if you find a good parking spot close to the hotel(Via Constantino Nigra), do not move your car
- visit Spiaggia libera di Prelo for a bit quieter beach and find a spot along the path under the cliff; bring a thick towel or mat to lay on
- visit Spiaggia pubblica Travello for a busier beach but a little more comfortable with the smaller pebbles to lay on
- highly recommend ordering a take-away pizza from Pizzeria La Cava Al Mare to eat on the beach for lunch
- go to Pizzeria La Cava Al Mare. Friendly and caring staff, delicious food, and you’ll be surrounded by Italians(not foreign tourists); also great value for food and wine. We kept trying different restaurants and while ok, we agreed we would have rather avoided the tourist trap restaurants and simply tried different meals and pizzas at PLCAM.

Such a nice place! The hotel has a perfect location, it is situated on a small hillside, but its not a problem to go a little bit up. Actually, thanks to this it gives awesome view from the balcony to the Sea and the harbor. Sea atmosphere, seagulls flying and birds singing in the beautiful garden of the hotel. 🌳🌺🌿 The harbour with cafes and restaurants is easily accessible on foot. There is a pebble beach not far away to the hotel.
The room was very clean, perhaps one of the cleanest we’ve ever seen! On the territory of the hotel there are a few parking lots that you could reserve in advance.
The staff was so frendly and helpful. They reacted with great understanding and care to the unexpected problem that we had.😬 We wish the hotel prosperity and hope to return again!🌷☺️🤗

Very clean room and excellent position for touring

The location was a mix of accessibility to Santa Margherita and Rapallo by walking also by Bus or car. Whereby walking to Santa Margherita was a good 10 minutes walk and 20

Perfect, amazing people are working at this hotel, was a pleasure to spend a few days here. If you need parking try booking it in advance, otherwise there is a public parking on the street nearby. Walking distance to the beach and nearest cities.

Excellent location. You can walk, bus or water shuttle easily. Staff was outstanding and having the balcony was awesome. Special shout out to Lisa!
