An excellent, family run hotel. Located just off the main street, and therefore remarkably quiet despite being a stone's throw from the town square, with a range of useful shops ( grocers, tobacconist, pharmacy, laundrette) a short walk away. Sorrento itself is just about walking distance too, or about 5 minutes by taxi if you're lucky with the traffic. Friendly, personal service and good food. Daily, efficient maid service for a nice, clean room with a balcony. Good swimming pool and pleasant terrace. We both really enjoyed our 10 nights here: highly recommended!

I stayed at this hotel recently and was genuinely shocked by what I found upon returning to my room: the cleaning staff had placed bath towels inside the bidet. At first, I thought it might be an isolated mistake, but the lack of any explanation or follow-up from the staff made it even more concerning. This is a serious hygiene violation — no guest should have to question whether their towels have been stored in a sanitary place. I travel frequently and have stayed at many hotels, but I have never encountered such an unprofessional and unsanitary act. Sadly, this incident completely ruined the trust I had in the cleanliness of the hotel. I sincerely hope the management takes this seriously and re-trains their housekeeping staff. Until then, I would not recommend staying here — not unless you’re okay with your towels being kept in the toilet.

This small hotel was a lovely clean hotel serving a lovely breakfast. Good location just of the main rosd in to Sorrento The best thing though is the lovely welcome we got off this family run hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. They looked after our every need. We would stay here again if we ever go back to sorrento

Great views, good menu and pleasant and efficient service! On a beautiful summer day or evening, you couldn’t pick a more magic location..The menu read well and would please the fussiest diners and the wine selection was adequate and best of all the prices were moderate!

The Hotel was immaculate, but the beds were hard, giving my wife and me sore backs. Friendly staff & helpful. Breakfast was horrible, dry eggs, no choice unless you like cake for breakfast, no good coffee comes out of some 1990 coffee vending machine. The dinner offer is simple food. No one ever is at the bar, I believe the place runs on about 4 staff only.. It's a long way to Sorrento, a Taxi will cost you 30 Euro, no place for soap or shampoo in the shower, no towel hooks. No Music the breakfast room or bar was cold, no towels for the pool, could not get a drink by the pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel club Sorrento. We were collected from the drop off point and made welcome with a drink on arrival. We had a garden room near the swimming pool, 1.5m deep and used by me on many occasions. The room was serviced daily, had air conditioning and easy access to the main building with only a few steps. Luigi and his staff were great. Very welcoming. Great selection for breakfast and plenty of choice for dinner also. The cheese sauce on the spaghetti starter was excellent. Cheese is a big feature of this area. The hotel,on a quiet side street, is only a few minutes walk on a busy road to the train station with access to Pompeii and Napoli . Sorrento is 4 mins by train away at one euro fifty. From the hotel roof accessed via the lift there were amazing views across to Napoli and Vesuvius. The weather was perfect, sunny, warm 22 Deg C and dry for our stay. We didn't find the trains passing intrusive as the sound is only there for a few seconds. It's quiet overnight. Many thanks to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable.

We changed to this hotel as our hotel had building works going on, so as it was last minute and booked in a bit of a rush, so we were a bit apprehensive. We shouldn't have worried we got picked up by Luigi and taken to the hotel. We were greeted by Roseana and given a glass of presecco while Luigi took our bags to the room. All the staff were amazing, helpful, and very friendly. They also upgraded us to room 101, where the ground floor balcony led down to the swimming pool this was a lovely surprise. We were half board, the breakfast was amazing, and as my wife is gluten-free, they accomadated for her really well also for the evening meal. The room was really clean and comfortable, and the towels changed every day. People have mentioned the train that passes the hotel it backs on to the swimming. The truth is, yes, it goes past on average every half hour but only last for 5 to 10 seconds at most if you think this will bother you don't book this hotel as for us we took no notice. The train station is a 5 minute walk. This is the main line between sorrento and Naples. You can get to all the main tourist spots it is easy to navigate and is cheap so are the local buses. Don't book with tour guides it's a rip-off and very expensive. All in all we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would like to thank all the staff for making it so pleasurable.

Let me start by saying that the hotel staff, in the main, were very nice.Unfortunately, however this hotel does not meet the description and bears no resemblance to the now dated photos shown in the adverts. It is not a "resort" hotel for beach /sun loving holiday makers, more a drop-in overnighter for students and folks on tour. The hotel is down a small side street off the very busy main road and is located in a residential and commercial area.We were picked up from the drop off point by an older gent in his decrepit works van, which raised immediate red flags. The van, with its one working door, then dropped us at what I thought was the back-door but turned out to be the main entrance to the hotel. The van was parked there most days, not really a welcoming sight. The room was a decent size however the bathroom was smaller than our wardrobes at home. The wife and myself are not big people but it was a struggle getting into the shower cubicle and manouvering around in it. No room for shelves for your shampoos, soaps etc so it all went on the shower floor meaning you had to carefully bend down without bumping the lever and switching the shower off. There was a kettle but no welcoming tea or coffee, and you cannot get towels for the pool or beach. The "double" bed was 2 singles pushed together. The wall-paper was coming away from the wall at points, and one of the lamps was held together with masking tape. Also,be aware..... you can hear everything, and I mean everything, from the neighbouring rooms. The bar was in the main entrance area and was rarely manned and very sterile, no music, TV's switched off (there were no English speaking channels anyway) and not somewhere you could get a cold beer ar a sandwhich on a whim. The restuarant is below ground level and has no windows, not much chance of a romatic dinner overlooking the ocean or a beautiful garden I'm afraid. As with the bar, there is no music, but you do get paper table clothes, s&p in sachets, not shakers, and the food is re-heated for you as you have to order at breakfast to let them prepare it. Nothing is cooked to order, there are no fresh vegetables, you mainly get lettuce with everything. The breakfast selection is sparce. No bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, fresh yoghurts (there are supermarket carton ones). The staple appears to be boiled potatoes diced up with some tinned mini-hot-dogs! There are no bar-snacks of any kind on offer between breakfast and dinner, nothing that would help you enjoy your experience. The pool area is small, no room for loungers only deck chairs, and the rooftop terrace with views of the surrounding tenaments on 3 sides is the only other option. Neither area is manned, so if you want a cool drink, snack or ice-cream, forget it. There are no parasols or waste bins anywhere, and the whirlpools are filthy. The beach is a good 30 minute walk, and the main road is only 50 yards from the front door so be careful. The traffic is horrendous, there are no c

Only here because our tour company had to rebook close to our departure date. That the hotel could accommodate 20+ people at short notice in Sorrento at near peak season should have raised a red flag Where to start? Our room was tiny, with peeling wallpaper and undersized beds (I am average height and my feet hung over the end). There is nowhere to open more than one suitcase at a time. The beds are hard but tolerable. The safe used an actual key (have to request), quaint but not an issue. The Aircon was fine, if on the noisy side. Breakfast is very basic, with a few "hot" options. The scrambled eggs were barely warm and on one occasion stone cold. The wait staff were bordering on rude. The dining room is in the basement and lacks atmosphere or style - not somewhere you would want to linger. Although near the railway, we didn't really have a problem with the trains. The way the hotel is orientated both sides are near the tracks. Road noise was not an issue. The pool is small and water freezing. The surrounding area is small and unloved. There is a roof terrace with fine views, but nowhere to sit or shade. Seems to be set up for sunbathing and use the hot tubs there. The hot tubs were filthy with black crud in the bottom and a charge to use - needless to say we didn't bother. You reached the roof by lift, but can't walk down as the fire door / only exit was locked!!! Pretty sure that would get the place a fine in most countries. I could go on, but imagine Fawlty Towers and you would not be far off the mark. Finally as you try to leave the owner will berate you to return the plastic key card.

The owner is very (too!) attentive and welcoming, great location (which allows, if you want to go out into Sorrento, to leave your car in the nearby car park, which isn't cheap considering the location), excellent food. Small but comfortable pool. Quite satisfactory value for money.
