Tenuta Tropeano in Tropea

We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of days at the Tenuta Tropeano. We had a car so it was a great advantage to stay five minutes outside of the historic center. The views were amazing. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The owners of the hotel take great care of their hotel and were very helpful. If we go again we would like to be able to stay longer in order to be able to take full advantage of all the hotel offers.

Excellent stay. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are fully tiled and updated. The room's Air conditoning worked very well.... rare for Italy. Italian breakfast very hearty, cooked to order. Host Angelo very helpful. Peaceful location and grounds, with great view of the water.

We LOVED this intimate boutique hotel. The rooms were modern and spacious, and the location, just a few minutes from Tropea (and the associated chaos of people and cars), was perfect. We loved the views overlooking the ocean and city, and the incredibly vibrant sunsets over Mt. Stromboli each evening. The staff was so hospitable - especially Angelo, the owner. He went out of his way to make reservations for us and recommendations - and called in favors when beach clubs were booked to get us chairs, etc. The hotel had a great pool, and the breakfast was some of the best food we had in Italy - highlights were the fresh squeezed juice, prickly pear cactus fruit and the house-cured fried capocollo, which was insanely good. My fiancé is celiac and they even had fresh gluten free bread for us every morning and were very good about food safety. If you're lucky, Ginger, the owner's horse, may come greet you from the field below the breakfast terrace while slyly begging for croissants (we saw her eat three!). Parking is included and convenient, and there are two restaurants within a three minute walk for dinner. Could not recommend this little gem more!

My boyfriend Kristofer and I stayed for a week at Tenuta Tropeano and we loved it! Beautiful hotel including the rooms, reception, pool area and garden. Safe parking space for your car. The owner Angelo, his family and the other staff were fantastic. Great service, communication, and cleaning. Angelo gave a high level of service all the hours of the day he was there, he recommended restaurants and places to visit, and with his warmth he made us feel so appreciated as guests. We already miss starting our mornings at Tenuta with their breakfast and incredible view. We recommend!

Angelo and his wonderful sisters made our stay with them like being at home with family. They could not have been more welcoming, attentive and helpful to enjoy both their beautiful hotel and the surrounding Tropea area. Nothing was too difficult and they made us feel very special. This is a fantastic place to stay and we would all unhesitatingly recommend it - particularly Cristina’s cooking if you are lucky enough to enjoy it.

We stayed at this beautiful B&B on our way back from Sicily. It was lovely. The view(!), rooms, and the food were outstanding. Be sure to go to breakfast because it was delicious! The owners were kind and shared a lot of information about Tropea. Angelo shared a wealth of information, and that allowed us to have a nice visit. He also talked about future expansion, and we plan to go back for a few days and enjoy the additions, whenever they happen. This B&B is pretty self-sustaining, because they grow much of what they serve, and I love that model. We plan to visit Tropea again and we will absolutely return to Tenuta Tropeano. You do need a car, but it didn't take long to arrive at the center. We had a wonderful night of rest and didn't have to worry about the noise. It was an excellent choice.

Perfect locatie to explore the neighbourhood of Tropea.
It is close to the beaches, to the ancient city, to nice restaurants, ...
The breakfast was the best we ever had on a holiday. Really ... everything freshly made and served at your table. No buffet at all !
The rooms are spacious and clean, with a rainshower and everything else you need.
The owners are very helpfull to find nice beaches, restaurants and places to stay in other parts of Calabria. Top-end location !

We had the most pleasant time at Tenuta Tropeano and in Tropea. Tenuta Tropeano was a perfect, quiet and beautiful get-away for us. The rooms were modern, quiet and very clean; the view onto the sea was amazing ; I don’t think we have slept anywhere else during our vacation as good as here! The breakfast was certainly the best we have had, especially because of the sandwiches and fresh fruits etc; finally sth healthy …
The owners (Esther, Christina and Angelo) were nothing but pleasant, helpful and assisted us in many ways to find decent restaurants, sundowner bars and even boat rentals. This place was 5*+ for us and we will definitely come back, also because of the incredible beauty of Calabria and its people! B

More than a simple B&B!
The hosts are very welcoming and super helpful and are capable of making you feel at home.
The room are spotlessly clean and stylish and breakfast is served on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea.
The breakfast is delicious, freshly prepared in the morning giving a variety between savoury and sweets plates.
